Exactly as the title says, I believe Amanda Tapping (Sam Carter) should be the next colonel general to run the Stargate program and she should have a more hands-on approach.

The next series could start with her showing up around the world in war zones, archeological dig sites, museums, universities, etc, recruiting people into a top secret program. Episode two would be her briefing the new recruits on the Stargate program and showing some of the videos of Daniel Jackson that we saw in Universe. During the videos, David Hewlett comes out to say that while most of that is technically correct, it’s more complicated than the videos suggest and then he takes over explaining the science and mathematics.

Since I really want David Blue back, the end of season one can be the new team finding an ancient outpost capable of dialing Destiny. That part is a stretch, but, as I said, I want Eli back and now David Blue is Greek god level ripped and would be perfect for an SG team lead.

How would you like to see a new Stargate series open?

Edit: I meant to say General, not Colonel. I picture her taking over General Hammond’s role at Stargate (Homeworld) Command, but going off world more often to broker treaties and technology sharing agreements.

I was watching an episode of the X Files, Avatar, and a young Amanda Tapping shows up as a minor guest role. She's a sex worker who dies after spending the night with Skinner. The episode is actually pretty good and also guest stars the actress who would go on to play Vash on ST: Next Generation as Skinner's wife.
