I Am A, where the mundane becomes fascinating and the outrageous suddenly seems normal.
Hi Reddit! This is Ali Velshi and I am the host of Real Money with Ali Velshi on Al Jazeera America (weeknights at 7 ET). I interview people from CEO’s to store owners – helping to shed light on the financial issues that Americans face in their everyday lives. I am passionate about teaching people how to understand the value of investing. It’s not just for millionaires or CEO’s with large paychecks; investing is for anyone dedicated to planting seeds and watching them grow, over time.
Whether you're looking for a 101 on mortgages or the basics of a 401(k), or you really want to know what's going on with jobs and the economy, I'm here to answer your questions from 12-2 ET, so ask away!

It’s getting pretty frustrating how vague msnbc is still being about rachel & the 9pm slot (not to mention their programming in general). It’s sounds dumb to say but I feel like it’s genuinely disrespectful to fans/audience to be so nondescript. She said she’d “be back in April” but there’s 0 indication of when or whether that stands.
Even if they said, “x date in may or June” it’d be infinitely better than just pretending like their entire base wasn’t populated by maddow fans. Sigh.

EDIT + apologies for extending this BUT:
I wish this thread hadn’t mostly devolved into the personalization of Rachel’s break. she can take breaks and is entitled to do with them, whatever she wants. Hopefully nobody subscribed to this sub questions whether she deserves it.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t responsibilities of the umbrella corp. (nbc) — or people on nbc/her PR team(s) to do what’s in the best interest of all parties: Comcast (lol), nbc, msnbc, rachel, anchors AND fans/consumers.
The only thing that builds trust is consistency and msnbc has been anything but consistent.

He did a great job at introducing Yang and his platform to many uninformed viewer's about the reality of automation and how Yang's policies provide a solution to this urgent issue. Plus they mentioned the subreddit in a graphic!

Project 2025 wants to bring about religious tyranny, threatening the freedom & liberty we fought for. It plans to ban abortion, LGBTQ rights, climate policy, regulations & more. We intend to defeat it with activism & awareness, focused on crowdsourced ideas & opportunities for action. The Heritage Foundation inserted policies & staff during Trump's term. He accepted 64% of the "Mandate for Leadership" that Project 2025 builds off, 70 HF Alumni served in his admin & transition team.

To all those Yang Gang butthurt that "MSNBC" is now "copying" Yang and stealing "his ideas"...
That's Yang's response to Ali Velshi.
Get over yourself about whose idea it was, or Yang not getting proper credit. He doesn't care -- as long as the idea get promoted.
Now stop your whining and crying.
We don't see politics along a left/right divide, we see politics along a top/bottom divide.
The Interview was lengthy, almost 30 minutes, and Ali was unfailingly respectful. Bernie got to deliver his message.
The bad news is that his message was not about his plan to fight this fight for the Democratic nomination until the very last minute. Now, he May be planning to do just that, but he surely didn't say so.
What he did say is that his supporters have different views of the road ahead. WTF. Bernie repeated that tidbit at least twice.
In a previous interview, the one with Whoppi, Bernie told the insistent Whoopi that his staff and Joe's staff have been speaking. Again, WTF.
So, that's my question---WTF?
