After pole’s shutdown recently ,it hit me , the franchise is close to death. First off , both sequels got shut down , no real updates for so long besides events , literally not a single new fish, pole was bound to happen eventually because mostly no content came out besides events and a lot of people stopped caring after 2 months of it being out, world was a good concept , but abysmal execution , basically FarmVille but underwater and more tedious , the original is the only one left but hasn’t received any major updates outside of events for an incredibly long time , no more hidden corals or freshwater expansions . It also tricks you to have fun because the first few hours are basically very easy to go through but after some corals you get stuck a point of extreme grind (for example, the freshwater tank with the birds) and die to people caring less and less, the original’s shutdown is bound to happen someday, sooner or later . Shame because it was really good back in the early days, but after that it became a bad event grind fest

What is the event currency? Will I able to carry it over to the next event?

• It seems that the event makes use of Vitalities. However, since this is AbyssRium Pole's first event, it's quite uncertain whether the next event currency will be present or not

When does the event end?

• We don't know yet.

A few general event tips

• All event customizations cost 1,500 Pearls each, with the total cost of 4,500 Pearls for all three event customizations. However, this isn't necessary for any unlocks so far. They only reduce your next event creature cost by an increment of 20% and beautify your tank. Nothing more than that.

• Access the event through a fish 'book' icon on the lower left corner of your screen, just above your Vitality count. Then tap on each event creature's profile to see how you can unlock them. Alternatively, you can also view them from the Manage Fish menu where an event fish tab is added.

• Don't forget to refer to 's for a general overview of the events and how they work.

Event Summary

• 10 new event creatures + 2 IAPs (1 event, 1 permanent)

Update specifics

Game Features

The paintbrush icon at the lower right corner (next to the camera icon) is added. This is where your customizations go. Also, the Shop tab is removed – it's replaced by a chest icon in the lower right corner of the screen similar to the octopus icon back in AbyssRium.

You can now collect all your unclaimed Pearl rewards all at once from the Achievements menu! Just complete achievements, and then tap "Accept All" at the bottom of the Achievements menu to get them all in one tap.

Daily Missions are added! You can access them through the Achievements menu. Here are the following:

• Warm Up - Tap 2,000 times

  • Reward: 5 minutes of Vigorous Plankton

• New Friends - Create any 3 creatures

  • Reward: 5 minutes of Blessing of Snow

• Couple Photo - Take a couple photo of creatures x and y.

  • Reward: 180 minutes' worth of Vitality

• Technician - Cast skills 10 times

With the latest update to the well known game “Tap Tap Fish” (formerly known as Abyssrium) we find ourselves in a world where everyday is an anniversary celebration. That sounds amazing, right? WRONG.

Looking over the entire map is the coveted “Dragon”. Not only does it sit tall watching over everything you do (a conversation for another day, big brother much?) but it is also unlockable as a “fish” for the player to place in 3 different tanks. But don’t be fooled. Unlocking this “Dragon” is far from a trivial task. The player will have to complete multiple quests with multiple objectives, unlocking almost every single fish in the new event just to have the shot at one of these “Dragons”. Now you may ask what is the problem with the “Dragon”. Well this so called “Dragon” has created quite the controversy among the Abyssrium community.

While the baby dragon in app purchases is actually a dragon, the free difficult to unlock “dragon” is actually a Wyvern!

That’s right, just when we thought Abyssrium was becoming good again and it seemed like the devs actually started caring about their trash game, they go make a huge mistake like this.

This means the only way to get a true dragon in this game is by spending TEN DOLLARS. Sad.

I’m quitting the game for good. This is the last straw.

If Abyssrium winds up dying (which it seems to be on its way to), later in the future (I hope) I plan on remaking the game in full HD, no low poly models, no ridiculous and boring unlock requirements, no vitality or level caps, and I'll actually pay attention to feed back and care about the players. I'll also actually try to get bottom dwelling creatures (crabs, flounders, slugs) into the game. I'll do my best to make the size of the fish as accurate as I can, and I'll try to program them to behave how they would in the wild.

I also want to add an above surface area for the birds and other animals that they've shoved underwater, and I wanna make the whales, dolphins and Nessie breach.

I'm gonna change the plants on the freshwater corallite (cause I'm sure most of them aren't real), unless you want them to stay. I'll put in an expand feature for the freshwater to.

Now for events, I am planning on using the old event format since that's what people liked the most, but, I have an idea for what I wanna do for a Prehistoric event, it'll basically be a fossil hunt (no it's not gonna be like the platypus) and once you get enough fossil pieces, you put the fossil back together which will unlock a creature.

That's all I got for now, I might keep talking about this, but I might not, if there's anything I should consider, let me know, I'm hoping to make this into a reality.

Please remember that the updates always, always, ALWAYS roll out on a staggered schedule. There is no rhyme or reason to who gets the update first. There is no way to get the update faster. Screaming on here will not help. Everyone should have the update within a week or so. Unfortunately, there is not any way to get the event in advance at this time, as the devs removed the ability to sideload APKs.

The update is on a slow rollout so expect it to take a few days to a week before everyone can access it.

Event Missions

Access this Quest menu by clicking on the "new quest" button in the bottom left. This quest menu opens on its own each time a quest step is completed. Most of the steps cannot be completed until the quest unlocks, so you need to be a bit careful with your timing on this one.

Complete the Fusion Fish unlocks to obtain the final fish friend. Unloking the "Squishy Cheeks Shiba Inu Dog" will give you a 30% discount on the farm material cost.

Fusion Unlocks

Fusion Farm Info

The new fusion farm has 4 types; Parasol mushrooms, Red Mushrooms, Black Cobbles and Pebbles. These materials are obtainable from the "Farmland".

For those new to fusion fish, you are required to use both the fish/creature and the farm materials as well. You are unable to select which to use.

• Every 10 minutes you can collect from the "Get free materials" in order to obtain a chance at 10 of one type of material. Max of 5 times a day.

• Every 10 minutes, you can collect from the "Tree Trunks Mushroom Farm" in order to obtain a chance at either Parasol Mushrooms or Red Mushrooms.

Every 1 hour, you can collect from the "Cobblestone Hill" in order to obtain a chance at either Black Rocks or Pebbles. To unlock the Cobblestone Hill you need to collect from the Mushroom Farm 10 times.

FAQ

There's an event creature that requires watching ads for Pearls x number of times. I'm sure that I've watched more than x ads for Pearls but it's still not unlocked!

• Chances are that you've not watched the ads for Pearls in the shop menu. In order to watch those ads, access the shop menu by tapping on the purple chest icon on the lower left corner of your screen, and then tap on the third tab on the menu (which is the shop menu for the Pearls).

When will the events end?

• Since the first event (Spring Event), none of the events are ending yet. It's still unknown whether the devs will end the events on a later date or not, probably to give time for those who are new to the game or have a hard time progressing through the game to catch up. Until the devs make an announcement about it, the events won't be ending (at least for now).

Treasure Discovery

Tap on the penguin on the dock to access this feature. The decorations (as the game calls it "Treasures"), are upgraded by getting certain amounts of pieces obtained from casting for treasure pieces. You can get 2, 5, or 12 sets of pieces at a time, for the price of an ad, or Pearls.

You can now remove, or switch between the Temperate Forest version or the Ancient Egypt version of the Treasures around your tank!

It's not me, it's you. I have been with you since day 1 and even stuck around after that disastrous Valentines Day event. But you became greedy and unfair to new players. Hiding events behind paywalls is a top teir asshole move. And raised the price of pretty much everything. $4.50 for autoharvest when it used to be $0.99? Ridiculous. You even took away the hidden fish. Part of the fun was finding out what unlocks them. Now events are just tedious and the costumes for the fish are just, well, ugly. I'm leaving this game with 350,000 candies. Enough to finish the game but I just don't have the desire to finish. Not even FOMO can save you. Because what is there to fear missing out on? Nothing good, I can tell you that.

I could go on about how you made some of your event fish a gatcha fish that cost waaaaay to much to spin for, or how past event fish cost too much in farm material, or how the golden fish percentages are complete and utter bullshit as well as expensive, or how you refused to reply to my many reports of your game breaking bugs, or how you're charging real money for expansion materials when a majority of the time they're off screen, or how you had a beautiful name but changed it to tap tap fish, or how you're basically now just "Ads: the game".

This is goodbye. I won't miss you. I will miss this community though.

Are there any other games out there that are very similar to Abyssrium? I played the game several years ago and just returned, plus I'm playing Pole too, and I find these games very relaxing. The only other game I've found that comes close is Penguin Isle but that seems to have a more definite end point which I'm approaching. I tried Birdstopia but the game is a buggy mess, and MyOasis doesn't quite scratch the same itch. Anything else like this out there?

Hey guys, I had this completely original Idea. I don’t see anyone else talking about this so I thought I’d make a post. You see I used to love AbyssRium but with these past few events I’ve seen the game take a huge turn for the worse. This has gone to the point where I may stop playing entirely. I’m going to list a few of the major problems I (and many others presumably) have with the game.

1.) Why do they call the Gingerbread fish “Cookie” fish? Have the devs never heard about gingerbread? I just don’t see why they would go out of their way to personally attack me by calling these fish “Cookie” fish.

2.) White “Chirstmas” is Spelled wrong! Why bother having words in your game if you aren’t going to spell them correctly. Not to mention they had an update and it *still* hasn’t been corrected. What is going on with them? This just shows how much they don’t care about their game anymore. Why spend all of this time creating special events for everyone to enjoy if you’re going to misspell words!? Now no one can enjoy this game. Great job.

3.) The Snowmen in the Snowman’s Nest are sleeping. Excuse me. Since when did snow sleep? Snow isn’t living, it just simply cannot sleep. It’s bad enough that they are putting cloths on fish (and entirely different subject) but an inanimate object simply can NOT sleep.

4.) When I go to take a Christmas card picture of the Concierge Seahorse, the flame doesn’t appear! First of all the devs put a flame underwater. Really smart idea on their end. To make matters worse why does it not show up when I try to share a Christmas card of the seahorse? I went out of my way to spend MY OWN hard earned vitality on this fish and I don’t even get the full experience. Speaking of seahorses:

5.) They Call the Stocking Seahorse a “Socks” Seahorse. Not to repeat myself with the Gingerbread/Cookie discussion, in addition to not using the *correct* term, they use the *plural* of sock! Sorry devs, there is only ONE sock. It is a SOCK Seahorse, not sockS. Please stop being lazy.

6.) Let’s move on to the topic of buildings. The House on a Hill is not on a hill. How hard would it have been to design a hill!?!? They put all of this effort into creating a beautiful scene that evolves as you get new buildings and even more as you upgrade them, but they have to go and ruin all of it by making such an awful decision. Don’t call it a House on a Hill if you’re going to design a House on a Flat Piece of Land. Disgusting.

7.) And what’s up with the house sizes? We are lead to believe that these Gingerbread, sorry “Cookie” People live in these houses, but the Cookie People are clearly much larger than the doors! How are they supposed to fit inside the houses? Way to ruin an amazing game.

8.) The Chocolate Fondue Hot Springs should have been called the Hot Chocolate Springs. Sorry in my whole life I have never once associated “Chocolate Fondue” with Christmas let alone winter. Hot Coco is a *staple* of the winter and holiday season. There is no reason Hot Coco wasn’t properly represented in this event but “Chocolate Fondue” was. Get out of here.

9.) The Miracle of Christmas skill isn’t a miracle. The White “Chirstmas” skill makes it snow, the Santa Express skill makes the train move, so please tell me why when I use the *Miracle* of Christmas skill all I get is the Music box turning around? It doesn’t even play soud. What kind of MUSIC box doesn’t play sound when it’s on?? If I spend an entire 30 seconds of my life ignoring an ad to use a skill that has “miracle” in it’s name then I expect a MIRACLE to happen. Not some dumb music box that doesn’t even have music.

10.) You have to tap on things. This is my biggest complaint about the game in recent time. If I want to use the Miracle of Christmas I have to tap *50* fish bubbles. Then I have to tap again to actually activate it. If I want to skip the 50 bubbles the next time then I still have to tap to watch an ad and tap *again* to close the ad! And don’t get me started on upgrading and buying fish. I have to tap anywhere from 90 to 9000 times to upgrade each building. And there are SIX buildings. At a minimum that’s over 500 taps and at most it’s 50,000. Who has that kind of time? If you want to buy a fish, that’s two taps, PER FISH. If you get the 250 fish before the game soft caps you that’s 500 more taps. Open the menu? Tap. Check your quests? Tap. Enter the Shop? You guessed it. Tap. Like seriously, I am about to spend money on your game and all you do is make me tap more to get to that point!? And that’s the thing. Even if you buy their “premium” packages the game still makes you tap. It seems like all this game makes you do is tap tap tap tap tap and oh hey there’s a fish. AbyssRium? They should just rename the game Tap Tap Fish.

That is if they don’t delete it for sucking so much. AbyssRium is dead.
