I said this same thing when she said that! I’ve lived in Texas all my life, and nobody says shit like, “I don’t speak Mexican” unless they’re intentionally being racist. It’s not just some, “Oops, I thought that was ok around here.” Spanish is all around us, all the time. The only people that call it “Mexican” instead, are garbage racist people.
