I recently saw a video of her, while her cheekbones and jaw are fairly pronounced her face is NOT gaunt like this nor is her complexion... mummified clay. She's a healthy-looking, very animated, person. So I agree some unfortunate choices were made here 😬. The creative team/-director fumbled pretty badly.

What does this person actually look like? Because the “example” pic is also clearly retouched. I think it can be a tough lesson to learn when we are so used to being empowered to edit our own photos however we like - and then you work with a brand like GQ and they can do whatever they like to your image.
Karol recently performed in my country on live TV, and she looks the same as her IG pictures. Of course she has the occasional filter and subtle retouches in her Instagram, but in general she looks exactly the same and not like the GQ cover lmao, she really looks strange in that photo.

It can be about both. I’d be mad at that too, and also that they will warp your image to what they think looks better, whether you think you looked bomb before or not. It sends the wrong warped message. You got to expect some level shooping in pro pics, but to butcher and transform into looking like another is fucked up. Esp if you asked them not to.
