Hello PMCs and Scavs.

Welcome to this closely-knit community of players. We moderators do our best to keep the community clean and organized. If you have an issue you can always reach us via ModMail: https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=/r/Tarkov. Escape From Tarkov is renowned for its intricate gameplay mechanics, intense firefights, and steep learning curve. It's okay to feel a bit overwhelmed, but fear not; this thread serves as a sanctuary for newcomers to ask questions and seek guidance.

First I recommend checking out the User Guide.

Topics Often Discussed by Rookies:

  1. Initial Setup: Guidance on installation procedures, optimal settings, and the user interface.

  2. Map Mastery: Insights into the labyrinthine landscapes of Tarkov's various zones.

  3. Resource Allocation: An introduction to the game's multifaceted looting system.

  4. Combat 101: Tactical advice on firefights, strategic movement, and engagements.

  5. Cooperative Gameplay: How to collaborate effectively with allies for mutual benefits.

  6. Economic Mechanics: Navigating the intricacies of trading and the Flea Market.

  7. Extraction: Exploring the mechanics and strategies for successful extractions.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions regarding these topics or any other aspects of the game you're curious about.

Guidelines for Query Submission:

- Aim for clarity and specificity in your questions to facilitate accurate responses.

- Bear in mind that there's no such thing as a 'trivial' or 'stupid' question here.

Conduct and Community Guidelines:

  1. Maintain civility and respect when interacting with other community members.

  2. Refrain from promotional activities or advertisements within this thread.

  3. Protect your own and others' privacy by not disclosing personal information.

  4. Adherence to both subreddit rules and Reddit’s broader Reddiquette is imperative.

Experienced players, if you could kindly spare a moment to assist in responding to queries, your expertise would be invaluable to these new recruits.
