Stolen Adderall - American Airlines

My adderall prescription was stolen from my checked bag that got delayed for no reason on a direct flight from Charlotte to Detroit with American Airlines. The kicker is my boyfriend and I were on the same reservation, flight, dropped our bags off together and nothing happened to his to be transferred TO DALLAS from a direct flight going no where near there.

It was hidden. I’ve never had this happen. My medicine bag was literally ripped open with fingers.

I’ve been sent around the ringer trying to just simply get a police report to be able to show my doctor, pharmacy and insurance company in the hope I might be able to get a refill before the end of January.

I suffer with severe and debilitating ADHD as an adult and have already had several meltdowns this week as a result of not having this medication and not having my others for two days while I waited for my bag to be delivered. Im not on day 6 going on 7 without my normal prescribed dose.

I’m just wondering if anyone has dealt with this or something like this and might have advice.

I’ve filed a claim with literally everyone: TSA, American Airlines, the US Department of Transportation, the bag delivery service that brought my bag to where I was staying in Michigan, filed a report with the Detroit Police Department at the Airport. All that it has shown me is no one cares to actually help.

I’m hoping I will hear back by January 2nd for the report copies, but I don’t have faith in any of the process. My best friend has suggested I try to take to tik tok soon and tag all the parties I’ve talked to (especially the airline) to blow this up.

Thanks in advance for any good guidance anyone has. 🤍
