YSK that you can transfer Spotify playlists to other music streaming services (like Apple Music, Amazon Music and others), and vice versa

Why YSK: If (like me) you’re only staying with Spotify because you’ve built up a lot of personal playlists with them, apps (like SongShift) will copy and sync your playlists over to other music streaming services. This makes it easy to try other services, many of which offer free trials.

Prime members complain that Amazon Music is 'unusable' and in 'shambles' after the ability to select individual songs was removed unless they pay $9 a month

Amazon music?

Where does Amazon music rank on the list of streaming services? I have several streaming services, including amazon, and it seems like Amazon has a lot of music that's lossless at 16/44.1 and 24/192 yet I don't ever see them get any love. Some songs sound better on Tidal, some better on Apple and some better on Amazon so I think they deserve to be in the conversation but it doesn't seem like they are. Why is that?

One month listening on Amazon music.

What a horrible podcast app it is.

I was a Google podcast user for years, absolutely loved the simplicity and organization of it, but since it went away I had to find an alternative, so I switched to Amazon music to listen to the boys.

The ad free barstool stuff is nice, not having ad breaks and constantly having to skip is much nicer. But man, it's a horrible app! It constantly resets episodes to the beginning between listening sessions, sometimes the play button just straight up doesn't respond to inputs, and if you arent in the app and push the next button on your phone, headphones, car etc it just goes to the next episode instead of skipping ahead. I download podcasts and am frequently out of cell service, but everytime I open Amazon it says "you don't have an internet connection" until I click out of it and get to my downloaded episodes. On top of all that, you have to close 2 pop-ups everytime you open the app wanting you to pay some monthly charge for Amazon music.

Amazon Music is falling apart

Originally it was a perk for prime members.

Then it got a new Tier Called "Music Unlimited" prime members had access to most music but some newer albums were "unlimited only"

Then it became random albums on a shuffle, and then older albums, and then just the majority of albums.

Then the ads started. Every. Single. Time. You open the app you'd get an ad telling you to try unlimited. When you finally DO try unlimited it doesn't stop the ads it changes them to ads for Unlimited Family Plan!

I'M THE ONLY ONE USING THE APP I DONT NEED A FAMILY PLAN that was the annoyance that made me cancel my unlimited subscription. Even paying them monthly I was being given an ad every time I opened the app.

Now I see that they changed it while I had unlimited so that without unlimited you can't play an album directly you can ONLY do a "shuffle similar" aka "make radio from"

What reason does anyone have to use Amazon Prime Music instead of Spotify now? It's a worse experience, a buggier app, and it's no longer a value add to an existing prime membership.

Amazon Music rolls out a lossless streaming tier that Spotify and Apple can’t match

Am I the Customer who Likes Amazon Music?

I have been a Amazon Music subscriber since the mp3 days. Sometimes Prime Music, sometimes Music Unlimited. Reading this Reddit and other Forums I feel I am one of the few who actually like Amazon Music. Here are my thoughts:

Most of the complaining comes from Free or Prime Music peoples. There ain't NO free ride here. Don't like the shuffle mode then pay up!!!

I have tried ALL of the Major Music services, Tidal, Apple,Spotify, Amazon Unlimited, Rhapsody (now Napster) Youtube. Apple is my favorite and the most time subscribed right after Spotify. Tidal sucks, got tired of their Hip/Hop/Rap/Crap music bias.

Right now I am subscribed to Amazon Music Unlimited? Why? Amazon has more of the music I like (Blues, Jazz, Texas Honky Tonk, 70s R&B) compared to Apple. I have compared catalogs head to head and Amazon wins - easily. Amazon supports casting to Alexa speakers from mobile apps, Apple does not, no surprise here.

BUT here is where Amazon really wins - their Playlists. Yes, Amazon EXCELLS at bringing me playlists of music I love. Not just a few playlists but lots and lots and lots (100s) of really good playlists. Many think Spotify is the leader at Playlists but they are not IMO. Also, Amazon Radio Stations are second to nobody. IOW Amazon is the winner at bringing ME the music I seek and love. I constantly find new Artists and Music from Amazon. Unlike some services, Amazon understands and KNOWS my Musical taste and strives to please me!

Of course the biggest defect of Amazon Music is their APPs. They are second rate compared to any Music Service. I do not experience many of the APP problems described here on this Reddit. I use Apple Devices and a Firestick for my TV/Dolby atmos setup. The issue is NOT that the App does not play music properly, rather Amazon Music APPS lack many needed features that the competition has.

Will I stay with Amazon Music? I doubt it. The other Music services ALWAYS send me an offer I can not refuse. Spotify just gave me 3 months for the price of 1 Month but I refused - I dislike the Spotify UI, and the lack of Atmos/HD audio.
