Alex English
This is a tweet in response to Jokic passing English for first all time in assists for the nuggets. Lots of respect from one of the all time greats
"I knew that eventually my all time assist record would be broken. I'm honored to see that it's 2 time, I mean 3 time MVP of the NBA do it. Congrats big fella. "

My dad and I were visiting friends in Denver when I was really little, and they got us tickets to the game where they retired Alex English’s jersey. Does anybody remember which team they were playing against in that game? Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance!

Score 250 points with Bucks players over multiple games = Badge Pack.
Make 150 dunks over multiple games = Finisher Award Pack.
Get 20 rebounds with Pacers players over multiple games = Rebounder Award Pack.
Get 100 assists with Nuggets players over multiple games = Historic Trophy Case Pack.
Score 54 points and get 4 rebounds with a SF in a game = Moments Trophy Case Pack.
Win 10 games using 5 Nuggets players = Current Trophy Case Pack.
Nuggets cards you might have are Ty Lawson, LaPhonso Ellis and Chauncey Billups. And the Token Market players. Billups has a Duo with Big Ben Wallace.

I just completed the grind for the card, and took a look at his stats:
The 60 3-pt rating is sad but somewhat accurate (he took a total of 91 3-pointers, playoffs included, finishing below 20%). Whether it should be accurate is another debate (especially considering Elgin's rating of 84 WITH NO 3 POINT LINE), but I won't complain too much about that.
But him having a driving layup rating of 85... Oh boy. And to make him a diamond card, they overcompensated his defensive stats with his interior defense being an 84 (yes, only 1 point less than his driving layup rating) and his post stats being an 88 (Alex English post hook at an 88...).
Also his draw foul rating being a 95. Of all the players playing 500+ games between 1980-81 and 88-89 English ranks 18th in most FTA/G. Behind Tripucka. Behind Dantley. Behind Wilkins. Behind Orlando Woolridge. Other players that have a far better foul draw rating on the court than in this game (Vandeweghe for example being portrayed as this long range threat that would occasionally put the ball on the deck and post up smaller players, when he just isn't) end up with lower draw foul ratings than English.
Overall, this card is wholly inaccurate and on top of being inaccurate, is quite possibly the worst takeover card this season (maybe D-Will worse, don't know yet much about that). If you put up cards like this for players that are often overlooked, don't butcher their ratings please. You would think 2K would give more of a damn about the best overall scorer of the 80's. Sadly they don't.
With his 29th point tonight, Kevin Durant moved past Alex English into 20th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list (25,614 points).
Vince Carter is next up at 19th all-time. (25,728 points).

Tonight, episodes 3 and 4 from The Last Dance were aired on ESPN. Episode 3 was primarily centered on Dennis Rodman, and showed various shades of him. Basketball Hall of Famer Alex English, who played in the league from 1976 to 1991, is happy that people are getting to see and understand more about Rodman as a result of the episode.
I wish people knew the real Dennis Rodman. One of the nicest guys and would give anyone the shirt off of his back. A true introvert. I’m glad these yougins who didn’t know get to see him work first hand. #TheWorm #TheLastDance
