It's paradoxical that seeing Ian McDiarmid play Palpatine again is, to me, both the worst and the best thing about The Rise of Skywalker

I’m watching the shit, and Darth sideous looked so similar. He was the same actor in RoTJ, the prequels, and the last movie. Has any other actor been in every one of the trilogies as the same character?

Edit: Damn, I did not even remember posting this. I was plastered and watching RoTS last night. Thank y’all for the education!

Thoughts on the decision aside, can we give credit to how seamlessly Ian McDiarmid slipped back into the role of the Emperor after so many years?

I don't like that Palpatine came back out of nowhere but seeing Ian McDiarmid one last time as Palpatine was magnificent.

TIL: That Ian McDiarmid (The Emperor) was only 38 years old when Return of the Jedi was released (Harrison Ford is older then him)
