“Last”

[–]DontDoodleTheNoodle 127 points128 points  (0 children)

It’s last until he signs up for another role

[–]john_weiss 57 points58 points  (0 children)

"...Of Season 2."

Op ran out of title.

[–]aestus 1275 points1276 points  (30 children)

Last scene as Loki my arse. Nobody believes that.

[–]Distinct_Bill_1442 488 points489 points  (8 children)

He’s “died” on screen about 6 times at this point there’s no way he’s not coming back. Especially since HE’S NOT EVEN DEAD RIGHT NOW 😂

[–]Ed_Durr 110 points111 points  (5 children)

He’s definitely cameo-ing in Deadpool 3

[–]The_River_Is_Still 57 points58 points  (2 children)

I so want this rumor to be true. Don’t do that. Don’t give me hope.

[–]timeshifter_ 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Don't accept it. He himself said Loki's story was finished, there is no reason to expect him in a major role again.

Also, I just don't pay attention to rumors, period. I'm going to watch what comes out regardless, there's no point in letting internet dumbfuckery dictate my expectations.

[–]The_River_Is_Still 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know. But we're allowed to hope lol.

I don't think he'll be used in any major screen time capacity, but I could see him popping in somewhere. He's a familiar face that the audience loves. They got rid of most of the original cast. So why not toss him in here or there. Like, if he had small parts in 2 movies out of 10-15, i'd be okay with that.

And I’ll add: There’s no way Thor 5 won’t have some type of reunion. The people in control of the MCU would be stupid to miss that opportunity.

[–]swampdom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Awkward Loki and Dazzler scene.

[–]schloopers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s just get a montage of cameos in Deadpool, but it’s all them reading the script and then declining to participate. RDJ feeding it to his goats. Evans in the exact same coffee shop from Free Guy wiping up spilled coffee with it, Patrick Stewart exclaiming “they’re killing me AGAIN?!”

Hiddleston can even be in costume and walking across set flipping through pages before turning around and saying “on second thought”

[–]korega523Loki (Avengers) 27 points28 points  (1 child)

How ironic would it be if the countless times Loki has "died" on screen he returns, but the one time we don't see him die, it's his final appearance...

[–]DynastyZealotUlysses Klaue 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's what one should expect from the god of tricksters.

[–]Dan_Of_TimeVision 86 points87 points  (9 children)

It's certainly his last "proper" appearance. I'm sure he would jump at the chance to come back later on for an Avengers movie or something, but this is the end of Loki's story.

Going into it with a sense of finality is as important to him as it is for the character.

[–]twodogsfighting 28 points29 points  (1 child)

That's what everyone said the last time.

[–]timeshifter_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah but he "died" last time. And he "died" the time before. And he "died" the time before that.

No resurrections this time, because he didn't die.

[–]Taaargus 10 points11 points  (4 children)

Huh? Loki is one of the only things the Marvel universe has going for it now, and it's not like he's dead. He's basically the new HWR

[–]King_of_Knowhere 3 points4 points  (2 children)

The logical thing for HWR Loki to do is to rewrite his death that happened in A:IW so that he was faking his death like the old man loki did, but just come back and help out with things sooner.

HwR Loki is stuck as the lonely chaotic weaver of the multiverse and could be used as a Mephesito type character but instead of granting wishes he sends them to realities in which their wish exists.

[–]tablespook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t that too similar to Prismo from Adventure Time?

[–]Taaargus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But HWR doesn't have control anymore so he can't rewrite anything.

[–]Dan_Of_TimeVision 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like I said, he will probably come back.

But his story is over. For the first time since Tom took the role there is probably nothing planned for him now which is what he wants by the sounds of it.

[–]st4rk-industries 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's stupid to abandon a character that the world loves for characters that the world doesn't know. Marvel knows it and this certainly isn't his last appearance. Everyone who has played these characters for years says the same thing, but they keep coming back ...

Loki is now the sage of the MCU

[–]KillAllLobsters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a man with a typewriter.

[–]TrueKingOfDenmark 66 points67 points  (5 children)

Last scene of the Loki series sure, but there is a pretty good chance we will see the character again.

[–]chillaxinbball 17 points18 points  (3 children)

I do wonder if it'll be as a variant or the one in Yggdrasil.

[–]Joshawott27 9 points10 points  (2 children)

In a future What If? season, just so he can ask Uatu “the hell are you doing?”.

[–]Dominator0211 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I’ve sat here keeping all of existence flowing for ages and you’ve been here doing what? Making commentary?

[–]timeshifter_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, he's the watcher, not the interferer. Loki holds the multiverse together, Uatu and Cotton just provide witty insight for the benefit of the higher-dimensional audience.

[–]Glittering_Sign_8906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Him and Owen Wilson will be in Deadpool 3.

[–]Kryosquid 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Currently. I also dont believe it

[–]Mammoth_Bar_386 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. He's bound to appear in a future Avengers film, or definitely some film. That's too likely.

[–]Wookie301 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it might be the last scene of that Loki

[–]HugBunterIsMyDaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s trying to do an Andrew Garfield lol

[–]RobynStellarxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually do. He’s been talking about it a lot, and speaking about the in depth nature of what his final words were going to be. I think this is it for him. But make this comment and come back when I’m wrong.

[–]Mr_Byzantine 81 points82 points  (3 children)

Does his best to resist the Spaceballs reference

[–]SteveBob316Weekly Wongers 17 points18 points  (2 children)

When will then be now!?

[–]Half__Shadow 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Soon

[–]CukeJr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had to go and rewatch that scene and I'm now realising that that entire 30-second exchange between those two is a pretty accurate embodiment of this series

[–]smirky_mavrik 254 points255 points  (1 child)

…for now :)

[–]hibernating-hobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forever, always

[–]quietWolves 261 points262 points  (1 child)

Loki, the God of Stories, watching Loki, the God of Stories, watch Loki, the God of Stories. Sounds like Loki.

[–]ArchdruidHalsin 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Wait, Tom... If you're here, but Loki's there.... THE MULTIVERSE IS REAL

[–]ShmuckaRucka1 106 points107 points  (0 children)

He’s 100% coming back

[–]hatecopterSpider-Man 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I will be very surprised if Loki doesn't show up in one or both of the next Avenger movies.

[–]0ataraxia 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is so painfully beautiful.

[–]Fuck_off_NSA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How does everyone keep rationalizing the idea that his story is over?? He’s literally at the center of the multiverse now, in the MULTIVERSE saga. Aside from Kang, he’s arguably the most important and relevant character that needs to show up again.

[–]Dvaderstarlord2Tony Stark 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is currently his last scene as Loki not his last scene.

[–]cork_the_forks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was very Mona Lisa-ish. He wasn't really smiling and wasn't really sad. Just this very ambiguous face somewhere in between that left a lot to the imagination. Fucking brilliant moment there.

[–]SnooKiwis8161 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That had to be quite the emotional moment for him. What a big role to fill in the MCU, and then to say goodbye...really hoping to see him in at least some small cameos.🥹

[–]AdmiralCharleston 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This kinda looks like a hot toys promo image lmao

[–]jhsounds 6 points7 points  (0 children)

*last scene in Loki

[–]nootsman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I Love his outfit so much

[–]GrandMaesterGandalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give him the Stan Lee role in future films. I want Tom in a strange mustache in the background just enjoying the show

[–]EmbarrassedOrchid202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure we can see Loki later in series/movie. But it breaks my heart that there wont be full fledged Loki in movie or S3 :(

[–]boyawsome876 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You cannot possibly believe his “last” scene is when he becomes the most powerful and important person in the entire mcu. Especially when we’re going in to a phase entirely based around multiversal travel, which he now controls.

[–]Apprehensive_Pea7911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tom will definitely come back for 6/8 of the following:

A future Avengers time battle with Kang or Doom

A reunion with Thor

A story with Silvie

A weird quirky side adventure with Mobius

A passing of the torch story with young Loki

A rematch against Dr Strange

A showdown against a variant Tony Stark played by RDJ (perhaps a momentary reversal of alignment)

A hard reboot of MCU

[–]Newbarbarian13Kaecilius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whether this really is his last appearance or not, props to the Loki writers and Hiddleston for crafting one of the most touching and thematically appropriate endings for a character in the MCU.

Loki's journey has been one of the most consistently entertaining to watch, and Hiddleston was note perfect casting from day one.

[–]chainsawinsect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Loki was awesome

[–]Mammoth_Bar_386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doubtful it's his last. We definitely won't see him for some time, but he's very likely (almost definitely) set to appear again.

[–]Whysong823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last scene until Kang Dynasty and/or Secret Wars

[–]PhuckNorris69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He could always come back as another multiverse version that didn’t go down that road

[–]ThatSmartIdiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"That's the one." -Mark Fischbach

[–]Langkorvu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not his last, let’s be real- but I just hope Marvel has the fucking restraint to not milk him anytime soon. The longer they wait, the better the payoff.

[–]Aayan171717272 2 points3 points  (1 child)

“Last scene”my ass I’ve always said until someone literally dies INFRONT of our faces and we actually see the body then we can say they are dead or that’s the last scene

[–]Pauls96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have seen the body. Lots of bodies.

[–]PlainTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Wait a second! We haven’t shot this scene yet!”

[–]TrinityF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By the way, this was a terrible ending.

[–]ThisIsNotTokyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s season 3

[–]SendMeYourQuestions 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Hey this posts title is a spoiler and that's super fucking stupid

[–]Spleenzorio 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How? It hasn't been confirmed that was his last scene.

[–]SendMeYourQuestions 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I haven't seen the season but now I get the impression he "dies" at the end.

[–]AtheneJen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He doesn't.

[–]Routine-Ambition-816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as but in

[–]B4umkuch3n 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Even tho he's a god and not linked to time whatsoever, he's still a mortal and will age.

[–]Niolle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's out of time. He doesn't age, just like HWR didn't.

[–]TrinityF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why exactly is it impossible for him to find the MCU timeline and return ?

[–]throwntothewindd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

G d t fgheg

[–]One_Understanding598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. His last chronological scene as Loki - but surely these productions shoot stuff out of order, and not minute by minute, script line by script line
