Thursday Night Football

[Leonard] Giants co-owner John Mara says he is "adamantly opposed" to flexible scheduling to Thursday Night Football & calls it "abusive" to season ticket holders. "At some point, can we please give some consideration to the people who are coming to the games?" He's glad vote didn't pass

[RG3] The NFL is now allowing teams to have TWO Thursday Night Football games per year. A league that continuously says it is all about improving player safety continues to put the health of its players at risk. Playing 1 game with only 3 days rest isn’t smart. Playing 2 is RIDICULOUS

[Meirov] The NFL needed two more votes for Thursday Night Football to have flex-scheduling. Among the teams to vote no: Giants, Jets, Bears, Packers, Saints and Steelers, per @AlbertBreer, @peter_king. The Broncos and Panthers abstained. The NFL plans on revisiting the topic in May.

With the Helmet Rule changing in 2022, the NFL should rebrand TNF into Throwback Thursday Night Football.

There are so many awesome throwback uniforms in the NFL! With Color rush ending a few years ago, i've always thought they should wear throwbacks on TNF. The one helmet rule has made it impossible but now that the rule is changing, I really think the NFL should rebrand TNF into Throwback Thursday Night Football. it would be so awesome if they went all in and even had throwback graphics on the broadcast. If they were to make this change, who would you love to see go against each other in their throwbacks? Personally I would love to see the Titans wearing the Oilers throwbacks, but besides my own team I really love the Seahawks old look.

Teams coming off their bye week should play Thursday Night Football

Thursday Night Football is notorious for injuries. Why? Because of the shortened week. Players simply don’t have enough time to heal before the next game. So why doesn’t the NFL just schedule teams for TNF after their bye week when they’ve been resting.

Early in the season this doesn’t matter as much because players are fresher and there’s no bye weeks but I think this could prevent a lot of the mid season injuries that TNF creates.

[Smith] As an active player, Richard Sherman was one of the most vocal critics of Thursday Night Football, arguing that it was dangerous for players to play with so little time off between games. Now he cashes a paycheck on Thursday Night Football and ignores the issue after Tua's injury
