After a strong performance in a 114-96 victory over the Nets, Collins boldly stated that the Hawks were not a joke.

Since then, the Hawks have lost to the Cavs, Knicks, and the Hornets twice.

The Hawks are no strangers to jinxing themselves. Almost exactly 13 months ago, Trae proclaimed “It’s over!” during a game against the Heat after going up by six with a minute left. Miami then tied it up and outscored Atlanta 18-4 in overtime.

I feel like it would have been done in the Kris Dunn trade, but wondering if maybe after August 6th if he'll be made more available. Idk though just want a true 4, would be big for this team.

It’s looking to be a very smart move for him to decline the extension offer. He’s bet on himself and his market value has gone up tremendously, especially over the playoffs. Atlanta needs to decide if they want to match a max contract, because somebody is 100% going to give him one.
