Veganism: A philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.
Just wanted to remind everyone that we should be boycotting Amy's Kitchen and not buying their products.
They are ignoring workers' complaints of unsafe conditions, bad treatment, discrimination and sexual harassment. Also they are using illegal union busting tactics to stop the workers from unionizing.
Recently their workers at the San Jose factory were trying to organize, so the company just shutdown the factory putting over 300 people out of work.

Hey everyone, I'm sure many of you don't know that Amy's Kitchen (the popular frozen entree company) has recently been unsettled by it's own workforce.
Allegedly, Amy's kitchen doesn't give a hoot about it's workers, their safety, or the sanitation of their own shop!
Anyway, I made a video about it. I make videos to help others know that they don't have to suffer, like the Amy's Kitchen people have been. It's honestly a blessing for the workers to get exposure on their situation. Supposedly, Amy's Kitchen has paid over 100K$ in fines to Osha.
If you need some context, I used to work at a coal mine who budgeted 70K$ for MSHA fines. 100K$ Is more than a coal mine anticipates. A COAL MINE!
While it seems like I'm just looking for views, that may be true. I just want to help people mitigate their draining situation.
Here is the link to my , I know the editing needs some work, but I should hopefully improve in the next 98 Videos, god willing.
Have a good day peeps
MAKE AMY'S KITCHEN PRODUCTS KOSHER
Hi everybody, I'm sure most of you are familiar with the Amy's Kitchen brand of frozen and packaged food. These are vegetarian and vegan products that could easily be made kosher and would be a HUGELY exciting option for kosher consumers. This has been bugging me for a while and I finally wanted to see if we could make it happen. The brand is currently marked "KD" and claims to be Tablet-K certified. I do not mean to offend anybody who holds by these certifications, but many-to-most Orthodox-identifying Jews do not rely upon them and currently are missing out on Amy's amazing selection of food products, so even if you would otherwise eat Amy's with its current certification I urge you to nevertheless write to the company in the name of universal Jewish access to these products <3
PLEASE take a moment to send an email to requesting that they upgrade their certification to one that is more universally accepted. Here is the letter I wrote. Please feel free to forward this to them with your own message, or to write one of your own:
Dear Amy's Kitchen Customer Service reps:
PLEASE make your products certified kosher! It would be tremendously easy and inexpensive, particularly for your vegan products (cheese is slightly more complicated, but also easily can be made to work!). The Jewish kosher community is a HUGE and profitable market, which is currently alienated by your brand's lack of reliable kosher certification. Its humble origins aside, Amy's is now a very large and prominent frozen and packaged food provider, and should spend the same care in making sure that it has a universally accepted kosher certification, as it does to certify its products natural, non-GMO, vegan, etc. Please pass this message on to company management and give it strong consideration. Various kosher certifying agencies are available, so you can shop around for the best price. Here are some that are virtually universally accepted by all Jewish communities:
CRC:
OU:
Star-K:
KSA:
OK Kosher:
List of other reliable certification organizations:
Please be advised that the following certification agencies are generally NOT reliable and most kosher-keeping Jews do not eat products bearing their certification:
Tablet-K Triangle-K [just a 'KD' printed on the box]
A proper kosher certification is very within your company's means and is a no-brainer business decision due to the thousands of regular customers you would gain overnight by making the change. I am happy to facilitate a meeting between your business strategists and various kosher industry leaders if the links I provided are not sufficient for making your decision.

Just wondering if anyone is up to date on the strike, and the unionizing efforts?
