Ok, I’m obsessed. I’m an alpine tundra girlie. I like the gulches, the peaks and the lakes, but those sweeping expansive tundras do not compare. Those wide and expansive spaces above tree line are what I’m looking for.
So far I’ve done: *Snow Mesa, out of Lake City. Gorgeous. Felt like Heaven. *Causeway and Flat Tops Wilderness. I wouldn’t do the Causeway again, but oh my goodness those tundras. *Mt Ida. So sloping and rolling. I’m in love.
