Looks like he's out of contract with LAFC. Word from most LAFC supporters is that he'll likely not be renewed so as to force playing time for Horta. Would you all want SKC to make a play for Benny to come back?

Personally, I think there's value to him still if the price is right and if we treat it like a very short-term play while our homegrowns gain more experience. Benny can play every position in the midfield better than any of our current backups and he's a very strong teacher and leader so he would no doubt have a lot of wisdom to impart on Busio and Kuzain. We also wouldn't have to depend on those kids 100% just yet if there's an injury or two.

Having him as the primary backup for all 3 mids could therefore still let him seeing a lot of action, and it affords guys like Croizet, Lobato (should he return), and Fontas (who we haven't had to use yet but who is technically Ilie's backup) the ability to focus on honing their skills in their best positions instead of having to stay sharp in multiple positions just in case.

Starts around minute 28 of the podcast. Klinsmann apparently cut guys for the South Korea friendly in front of everyone at lunch and then Benny got himself back on the team after yelling at Klinsmann in a one on one meeting. Just wild.
