One X: Reinier de Ridder vs André Galvão
I beat de ridder in a casual roll several years ago therefore I am equally as good if not better than Andre Galvao. Feels good man. I need to call my mum and tell her this.
Also call Mo Jassim. You can be a backup fighter in case Galvao cannot show up!
I haven't seen the match but De Ridder is an amazing grappler. Not legendary level like Galvao but still very good. I rolled against him when I was a purple belt and he was also a purple belt at the time. He's several weight classes above me but he submitted me several times within 6 minutes. There's a reason he's undefeated and double champ in ONE.
Galvao going hard for 20min against Pena but gassing halfway through the match with Ridder. I think inactivity and age is starting to catching up to Galvao.
Danielle Kelly's match (and reaction to the bonus) was awesome to see too on that event.
No hate I thought Galvao didn't look good at all. He looked better vs Pena 3 yrs ago. Maybe took it lightly but if this Galvao shows up vs Gordon he has 0 chance even if they were the same size, and I don't even like Gordon.
Even with the most aggressive cycle possible, he's not getting anywhere near the size of Gordon in 6 months.
RDR is no grappling slouch, but someone that medaled as many times as Galvao did, is ADCC champ and is pure grappler should dominate this fight, maybe not even submit (even though that back take should have resulted in proper control), but be more dominant.
If he comes against Gordon like this, it will be easy night for Ryan.
aight, i used to think galvao's physicality could give gordon problems if he has to do the 99+ division as well but I think gordon just has to worry about the division cuz the superfight is gonna be a stomp.
With Galvao's performance a while ago, i think Gordon Ryan will submit him with ease.
