Music video teaser

Cola Boyy announces the June arrival of his first album "Prosthetic Boombox" with "Kid Born in Space", an introspective song produced by Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT. Born with an atypical physique, Matthew Urango (Cola Boyy) recounts the bullying and taunts of his childhood - those which now make him the musician who looks like no one else.

“The production by MGMT is the culmination of a true friendship. In 2018, they invited me on their tour, during which we became very close. I then spent time with Andrew VanWyngarden in the studio in New York. When I made him listen to "Kid Born in Space", he liked it straight away, everything happened naturally: James Richardson did the guitars and keyboards, Patrick Wimberly ("Chairlift") refined the production. I am extremely grateful to them. In this song, I talk to myself, younger. Convinced that no one could understand what I was going through and feeling, I was embittered and angry. I try to explain to this young one not to worry about the gaze of others. This look is perhaps curious and benevolent. Everyone has their reasons, and their problems."
