Andrew Mccutchen ruled out for running out of the baseline for running in a straight line.

Rule 14378.25 - if Angel Hernandez is unavailable to make a truly horrible call a suitable replacement shall be designated.

No longer content with single calls blown. Umps gotta go for combos now.

Just embarrassing by the umpires. Really really lousy performance all around. They didn't get a single damn thing about that play correct.

Missed an easy strike 3, missed the call at first on this play, and called this abomination all in two batters.

Feels like it’s at least once a week these days. This same issue happened on the first base line with the Angels recently. Umps just can’t get anything right this season

They did manage to call it a fair ball.

Cutch literally ran in a straight line.

Whew.

I think Bryce summed things up pretty succinctly during his ejection: "Fuck You!"

Screw up the call in horrible fashion. Don't toss the manager who clearly wants to be tossed but instead toss the injured guy who can't even play anyway. Makes sense.

He went out of the base line vertically, obviously!!!

Yeah when i clicked on it I was expecting him to at least have some kind of juke move, but he literally ran a straight line along the straight grass.

He didn’t step on a single blade of grass, and the grass is within the base path. I can’t even begin to imagine what went through that ump’s mind to make that call, especially because he’s maybe 15 feet away from the play, tops.
