The climb was hard to watch but the standing up on the top. I simply could not do that. The world would spin, my legs would go to jelly and I’d fall.

Made of sandstone, also described as vertical mud. Often firm enough to climb on, but it’s dicey to fall on bolts or protection can blow out. It’s sand, man!

There are plenty of bolts in sandstone that are absolutely solid. Definitely harder to make sure bolts are in quality rock and placed correctly, but totally doable. There is also lots of sandstone further east (i.e. in red river gorge, kentucky) that is much harder than the sandstone out west!

Meh, not really. Likely communication fails first and someone takes you off belay. Oh you use the gear wrong. Most accidents in climbing aren't related to gear failure.
