Hey fellow workers,
Does anyone have examples of union local bylaws (IWW or otherwise) that are modeled on the principle of direct democracy? I'm specifically talking about locals/branches with functional bargaining units. My local of the American Federation of Musicians is going to be revising our bylaws at some point this year hopefully and it would reeeeaaaally help my case to be able to point to specific examples where officers are recallable, have very little executive power, and the rank n file has wide latitude to legislate policy and set officer mandates. Our local has a loooong history of dysfunction so the bar is already set very low lol.
