Where to watch? Amélie (2001)
Ever since discovering Jean-Pierre Jeunet with “The City of Lost Children”, “Delicatessen”, and even “Mimacs” I’ve been hooked! Because of this sub I have read that Amélie by Jean-Pierre Jeunet is also an amazing flick and is worth the watch. Unfortunately, on all of my streaming services (paid and unpaid) I’ve been unable to find this movie available in the U.S. to watch. I have Prime, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Starz, Peacock, and XFinity. I know this is technically a French film, but I’m surprised with how highly it’s rated that it’s been such a trouble to find. Does anyone know where I can find this movie? Do I need a European VPN to be able to watch it somewhere? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Also I’m curious to everyone’s thoughts about this movie and also Jeunet’s movies as a whole.
Thanks in advance!
It isn’t available on streaming, right now.
It’s worth buying a blu ray player for.
Edit:
Micmacs is also worth buying on blu ray, but it is also streamable (sort of):
It's one of my favourite movies, and one of the best feel-good movie you will ever see. Showed it to my 10 years old daughter several days ago, she already watched it another time.
It has everything : excellent cast, nice photography, touching story and one of the best movie soundtrack. Do yourself a favour a get the soundtrack by Yann Tiersen.
I can try and see to buy a dvd here to send to you but I'm not sure it will have English subtitles, as I'm in France.
