Miles: Wow! You’re Spider-Man!

Spider-Man: Yes, yes I am.

Miles: You interrogated my uncle and left him stuck to a car for two hours.

Spider-Man: What?

[–]sassycho1050 99 points100 points  (46 children)

Feels way too early, especially for a Peter Parker Spider-Man who only just went through a character defining tragedy. In my head, MCU Peter only just became a true Spider-Man in NWH. Introducing Miles this early feels like it would detract from showing us a film with a (finally) fully matured/capable solo Spider-Man. Because if Miles is there already, it's very likely they will rush through his power acquirement.

[–]DearEmployee5138 31 points32 points  (7 children)

My idea is that SM4 will do that. Have him be a full time spidey alone and show that growth as a solo spidey, and then Miles is introduced at the end. Just meeting each other. Possibly a little quip about his uncle then roll credits. Then SM5 is him taking Miles under his wing and training him. Then a Miles Morales Solo film between 5 and 6 (maybe peters out of town) where he comes into his own as a solo spidey as well. And then SM6 is a team up between Peter and Miles. Maybe add Silk or another Spider-Person with a “recurring” appearance” both are full strength spidermen at this point. I also think a possible Live-Action SM show for Peter where he is just a friendly neighborhood spider-man somewhere in between these movies would help a lot. Possibly between 4 and 6. And then maybe a Silk show after SM6. Then The next Trilogy if they even focus more on Peter and Miles individually. Peter has 2 solo movies and Miles has 1 or vice versa.

[–]WildFire255 17 points18 points  (5 children)

Isn’t that the game? Full time Spider-Man in 1 (with powerless Miles), Miles game, Spider-Man 2 and now they’re introducing silk.

[–]DearEmployee5138 6 points7 points  (4 children)

I guess it’s got some influence from the game. That’s just the best way to do it imo.

[–]Arctimon 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Holland isn't going to be SM forever. It's probably best to get Miles introduced now so that they can ease him in once Holland leaves.

[–]BagofBabbish 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Because the trilogy wasn’t a “trilogy long origin story”. That was a some bs they retconned after the fact.

[–]cap4life52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It definitely was no way you can tell me that was watts and Feige intention from the jump

[–]Finance_Willing 0 points1 point  (6 children)

With all the time skipping the mcu is doing it’s not that surprising. I wouldn’t be surprised if 10 years had passed sense the last Spider-Man movie

[–]sassycho1050 5 points6 points  (3 children)

The time skip isn't the issue. The issue is that we have yet to have an MCU Peter-focused story after the traumatic events of NWH. If Miles becomes anything more than a quick cameo in MCU SM4, we may never even see a fully Peter-oriented story play out within the MCU.

[–]sharksnrec 0 points1 point  (7 children)

Too early?? Lmao Peter has been in the MCU for years, has all the experience in the world, and is now in college. At what point do you think it would be appropriate to introduce Miles? When Peter’s geriatric? Never?

Not to mention that no one even remotely implied that this was going to happen in Spider-Man 4. All this tells us is that Miles is going to be introduced into the MCU at some point, which is not news. If you didn’t already know that, then that’s on you.

[–]DisasterAccurate3221 27 points28 points  (13 children)

As much as I love Miles...If he does appear in the movie, he doesn't need to have his powers yet. He just needs to be a regular kid that Pete meets in his civilian clothes and probably hangs out with from time to time. No Spidey Miles yet, please!

[–]cap4life52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's it

[–]crispy_attic -4 points-3 points  (10 children)

The amount of black male heroes with actual superpowers is very low in the MCU. Of course he should have powers.

[–]sourkid25 5 points6 points  (1 child)

he probably means miles shows up he just doesn't become spiderman yet

[–]DisasterAccurate3221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely. Of course I want Miles to eventually get his powers. However, I do want them to also give Pete a chance to shine a little bit more.

[–]whovegas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now now, if he has powers that would take away from peter and that ain't whit...right. sorry. Right.

[–]moso439 -2 points-1 points  (5 children)

Nah. No one wants live action miles. We want the real Spider-Man

[–]Dry-Elevator-7153 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Miles is fantastic, so is peter, not sure why you haters all butthurt lol

[–]Simbatron99 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

lol we’ve had 8 Peter Parker Spider man movies it’s time for someone else to play Spider-Man it’s the same when it comes to Otto we’ve seen him too many times, it’s time for Carolyn Trainer to shine .

[–]MercerEdits 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Don't fuck it up, Kevin.

[–]cap4life52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He won't I think - the less pascal and arad are involved the better the success rate

[–]lr031099 12 points13 points  (18 children)

Miles being in the MCU and eventually becoming Spider-Man is something I would like to see happen at in the distant future but him being introduced in the 4th film is WAY too soon

Now if there was a 3rd trilogy where he’s introduced, that would be fine but he shouldn’t be introduced in the 4th film unless he’s like a little kid (like a 6th grade middle schooler at least). Although there probably wouldn’t be much point in introducing him if that were the case.

Edit: To be clear, I’m NOT saying we will get a 3rd trilogy since I am aware that Tom doesn’t want to be Spider-Man in his 30s and that’s completely understandable. All I’m saying is that if a 3rd trilogy was a thing, that’s one way they could introduce Miles into the story as a protege of Peter before taking over the mantle.

[–]mutesa1 5 points6 points  (8 children)

Tom Holland is not doing 3 trilogies lmao. Miles is coming whether you like it or not

[–]cap4life52 -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Exactly i can't believe people actually think that . He's tiring of the role already this is his second and last trilogy . We should be happy we got this many out of him . People here think actors want to play a character for over 10 years of their acting prime .

[–]lr031099 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I’m NOT saying a 3rd trilogy will happen. All I’m saying is that if there was a 3rd trilogy, I think Miles being introduced or even play a role in that trilogy would be more fitting.

I know already that Tom doesn’t want to continue playing Spider-Man and that’s perfectly fine but all I’m saying that Miles being Spider-Man in a 3rd trilogy would be more fitting. That’s all.

[–]nsanta91 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I mean that’s probably their plan?

Miles is introduced as a character in 4, no powers. Gets bit at some point during 5, with the secondary story being him adjusting while Peter handles the main threats. 6 is both as Spider-Man, and a send off for Peter. Next movies would then be miles.

Maybe they are going right to miles with powers, which i agree wouldn’t be great, but I think people are jumping the gun a little bit with this news

[–]bukanir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's almost certainly not doing three more standalone Spider-Man movies. Spider-Man 4 will probably be his last then cameos in the two Avengers movies before the post-Secret Wars reboot.

Look at the time gap between sequels in the MCU on average it's currently 6 years. We might get Spider-Man 4 in 2027 then the next movie wouldn't be until 2033 (after the soft reboot).

[–]moso439 -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

Most people do NOT want live action miles morales. We want Peter Parker, the REAL Spider-Man. Miles is a lame knockoff

[–]EntertainmentOne6537 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The people downvoting you are the same ones that swore the marvels would kill it in theaters

[–]Bobotts123 12 points13 points  (14 children)

Can we just make an MCU Peter Parker Spider-Man movie, please? One without Iron Man gadgets, multiverse shenanigans, and Spider-Man derivatives?

Miles has his spot firmly in the Spider-Verse films for the time being, we can wait a while before introducing him.

[–]Mrpoindexter007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mcu dosent know how to make just a Spider-Man movie

[–]cap4life52 0 points1 point  (11 children)

I mean if he's barely in next 2 movies it's no big deal - Holland is aging out soon . This is for sure his last trilogy so doing minor succession cameos for miles isn't bad as long as he's not integral to the plots

[–]Bobotts123 1 point2 points  (4 children)

So we're going to introduce a young actor for Miles and slowly cameo them over the next several years until Holland ages out? So what, the young actor is going to be 30 by the time he puts on the suit?

Why not just wait until the final Holland appearance to intro him? Or better yet, give him his own film series in the Sony Universe and see if it's worth pursuing a merge into the MCU.

[–]cap4life52 2 points3 points  (2 children)

No - you clearly cast someone between 15-17 homecoming to no way home took about 4 years to make . The miles actor will be 20-22 at the oldest by the end of then next Holland trilogy then he gets his own 8-9 year run as the character .

I wouldn't give miles his own live action film series with Sony without Feige involved . Everyone here knows they would ruin Miles without the mcu being involved . I don't even think they trust themselves to attempt a live action miles film right now . Hence why they are fast tracking his intro into spiderman 4 with Feige as the producer

[–]Bobotts123 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You want a Miles in his 20's? Why wouldn't want Marvel to start a Miles in his teenage years?

[–]cap4life52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure I mean Holland was 19-20 playing a 16 year old and everyone bought it .

Most actors at that age still look very young so having a miles actor being 15-17 playing a 14-16 year old isn't much of stretch . A miles actor in his early 20s could still pass for 17-18 year old . That's all that matters

[–]ToothpickInCockhole -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is Tom Holland aging out? Peter Parker gets older in the comics.

[–]Finance_Willing 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I’ll believe it when I see it

[–]peedmyshirt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Didn't his origin trilogy just end? Right back into another origin movie lol

[–]fr3shh23 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Lame. Should have been the Sony verse Spider-Man

[–]Bananabeak08 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Introduce him, but don’t make him Spider-Man yet, maybe the post credit scene could have him being bitten

[–]Ozzmanth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh great so then they can kill Peter and ruin spiderman

[–]didntmakeausername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think we need miles in live action. At least not for awhile. I'm thinking they follow the comics and bring him in during secret wars

[–]DryWay4003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ehhh I really don't need or want a miles live action especially not anytime soon

[–]Thorfan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too soon

[–]TwitterWWE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought Kevin Feige wanted a street level Spidey?

[–]01zegaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t possibly compare to Spider-Verse

[–]Fragrant_Site7271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanna see miles and spider Gwen and Miguel O’Hara in a live action movie

[–]Narrow-Virus-7321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see how it could seem awkward since they just redefined Peter’s character - but, maybe that’s why? Maybe it’s part of bringing in Miles. Honestly, MCU Peter has had a long run by movie standards honestly. I can’t wait to meet MCU Miles! (Plus, didn’t Holland say he was kinda exhausted playing the role anyway)

[–]DearEmployee5138 4 points5 points  (1 child)

This is the most hype I’ve been since the Fox Acquisition.

[–]_JR28_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Miles is only becoming more and more of a star in his own right so this was inevitable. If they handle him right can be a bolt of lightning the MCU has needed for s while.

[–]TheBigGAlways369 Kraven 2 points3 points  (14 children)

What a genius move to shove Miles in just when they supposidely "fixed" Peter and made him "truly Spider-Man".

He so smart. Sony wishes they were genius like him.

[–]Ek_Tha_Clarku Spider-Man[S] 6 points7 points  (13 children)

I think it's too early to have him. We need more of Peter Parker and friendly neighborhood Spidey stuff that NWH set him up to be. But if Miles is gonna be just a background character, I've no problem with that.

[–]Seamus_Iran -5 points-4 points  (11 children)

You've been saying it's too early for years now. Introducing him in Spiderman 4 is literally the best place they can bring him in, and then 5 would be the Peter/Miles movie

[–]spiderfan10423 0 points1 point  (10 children)

I thin you should have him more so cameo in 5. Maybe even have the Morales family live near or in Peter’s building.

Have him get bit towards the end of 5

Then be a full on Pete and Miles movie in 6

[–]Seamus_Iran -2 points-1 points  (9 children)

The movie would release 2033 at the earliest. Holland would almost be 40 years old.

[–]spiderfan10423 1 point2 points  (8 children)

So what? It can be his final appearance as the character. Would be nice to have an adult take on the character for once

[–]home7ander 0 points1 point  (1 child)

They could have him be the insert for Peter Parker in all the memories that were erased of him. Perfect way to catch everyone up to speed on who Miles Morales is

[–]UltHamBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's an insert of Peter Parker. The restored deleted scenes of NWH showed how Peter is still in some photos, just with his face obscured.

[–]JayeJJimenez -1 points0 points  (3 children)

If Miles is introduced then Tom Holland's Peter Parker should be killed off to truly give Miles Morales the primacy and focus he deserves as the sole Spider-Man of the MCU.

[–]lkodl -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

when it all shakes out, Peter stays in the Sonyverse, and Miles stays in the MCU

[–]XMarksTheSpot987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Way too soon for live action Miles Morales. Miles has his trilogy with the Spider-Verse movies. I think Sony should move forward with movies featuring Julia Cornwall, Anya Corazon, and Celeste O'Connor. For a Sinister Six culmination, we have Vulture, Morbius, and Kraven set. Two more SS members can be added in the first two Spider-Women movies, and the third one can be where the 3 women and the SS get together and face off. The sixth member can maybe be Venom (unlikely), or someone introduced in the third movie.

Despite my positive feelings towards Madame Web, I will admit, that Sony can fuck this up in many ways. Still, moving forward with a Miles Morales live action movie would not be the play. People already don't like how Miles is replacing Peter in the video game series.

[–]NeverGonnaStop247 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NOOOOOOOOOO. Miles is trash.

[–]Blyght555 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie, the time is now to introduce Miles, and then I’d much rather have a miles spin off film as opposed to madam Webb, Morbius, and Kraven

[–]RedStar2021 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On the hand, I feel like it's about time they finally included him. On the other, I think they should introduce him, have him befriend Peter and have him be an anchor for him when he starts going to dark places, and then give him his spider powers either at the end of the movie or early in the next. I think this new territory that Peter is in at the end of NWH needs time to breath on its own for at least a full movie.

[–]ha_look_at_that_nerd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Googling “Daniel RPK fantastic four” it doesn’t seem like he’s actually that reliable.

[–]baddykoda27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Y'all really can't move the fuck past spiderman can you?

[–]forzababy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one spider man was never enough we need them all to converge on Tom Holland for some reason

[–]Moonking-4210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn’t be Spider-Man until a later movie

[–]MarvelSonicFan04 Spider-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it'll probs happen after SM5 or 6

[–]Iloveitguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fine with it if I finally get Donald glover as a proper prowler.

[–]gizmo1492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Tom Holland wants out, I wish the MCU would have the balls to kill him off and let Miles take over.

[–]sticks_no5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Miles, Peter dynamic has only really been done when Miles is much younger and Peter is much more experienced. I hope they change it up and have them the same age and have more of a brother/ partner relationship

[–]DJL3mon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They keep on adding new characters in Phase 5 which I hate a lot if they did it slowly over time it would be better not ever new movie introducing more and more characters feels too much

[–]HansenTheMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hope Sony doesn’t interfere and mess it up.

[–]Bgreen15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will probably be a little cameo appearance of Miles Morales without getting his powers

[–]The__Auditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct decision however Miles shouldn't become Spider-Man right away

[–]BiggestOutcastYr21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Andrew Garfield>

[–]blackman2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eventually things will get so messy with the multiverse and different versions of characters being cannon to the main timeline that audiences will lose interest in what's happening since there's nothing really making sense at that point. I think if they choose to bring in Miles Morales they should really do it after starting a clear slate with a new MCU after Phase 6 and work something out with SONY so that specific characters aren't being saved for a separate Spiderman universe that doesn't tie into anything else.

[–]KillTheBatman2475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel indifferent towards this idea as on one hand, Miles Morales finally being introduced into live-action would be very cool and especially fit the MCU, but on the other hand, it feels like a decision Sony's trying to force Marvel to do and would feel like too early to introduce Miles.

However, IF Sony and Marvel agree to this decision, the best they can do is introduce Miles in the fourth MCU Spider-Man movie but not have him gain his powers until the near end while teasing it for the post-credits scene and then have Peter train Miles in the 5th and 6th movie.

I would prefer Miles being saved for much, much later, but my suggestion could be the best route if we'll see him in live-action sooner than later in the next MCU Spider-Man trilogy. If it happens, hopefully, it'll be done right.

[–]MrAdvisor1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not surprised at all. Peter dying in Spider man 4 won’t be surprising now either.

[–]Garagedays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great and give us ghost spidey and we can have spidey and his amazing friends live action

[–]Batmanfan27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this makes sense. From what I understand Tom Holland doesn’t want to keep playing Spider-man forever, so this would be the easiest way to keep making Spider-man movies after he steps away from the role.

[–]Wawravstheworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this does happen I hope it’s kinda like in the games where Peter is helping him out mentoring him as a friend then he’s bit later on down the line by the spider… or this could mean our Spider-Man we know and love will die 🥺

[–]sourkid25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

presumably he survived the snap which can possibly explain why he's a little older and closer to Peter's age

[–]Armandonerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's still too early

[–]PumpkinEmperor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little sooner than I thought, but thank god it’s in the mcu. Hopefully we get a full prowler backstory as well and not some reference to across the spiderverse.

[–]XB1TheGameGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

): just want a mcu spiderman movie, that only has a focus on Peter.

Homecoming focus was on Peter and Ironman. Far From Home was close to being just Peter, but then had Shield. No way home was great but you can tell the focus was on Peter AND the other Peters.

Just want a movie focused on just Peter.

[–]TheOGRex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, looks like we might have a repeat of the 2017 show with Miles and Peter being around the same age and skill level.

[–]Key-Ebb-8306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they're gonna sideline Peter? They're introducing too many character's too quickly

[–]Newsted_Is_God 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think it's fantastic

The MAGA crowd is going to lose their minds

[–]Zentrii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just dont cast the guy that voiced him on spider-verse. I love the actor, but he said he was gonna lose weight to try to get the role and it should be for someone that's already in shape at least.

[–]No-Seaweed-4456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does MCU Spider-Man have any momentum anymore?

I get the films are very successful but it’s been like 3 years since the last one and spidey is being slaughtered by Sony right now.

[–]perfect-legend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As they should

[–]TheRealAwest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This miles morales will be from a different universe& gets stuck here I bet.

[–]j_kswa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as Sony keeps hands-off

[–]ProsePilgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta say, the way the Spiderman game introduced Miles felt like a smart play.

I’d love to see a more grounded story told with Peter trying to wrangle NYC only to discover there are too many problems and other heroes better suited to handle some.  Luke Cage and Daredevil are good examples. Miles could be another.

Whatever they do seeing Miles in the neighborhood first feels important. Again, the games make him a clear part of his community even prior to getting powers. More of that, please.

[–]Justa_6EEK[🍰] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would they even set up an origin story for Miles? Oscorp doesn't exist and it doesn't seem very "radioactive spider" focused in the MCU if that makes sense

I feel like Miles should be a variant that is introduced after Secret Wars

[–]DeviantHunter107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO. Why can’t they wait till Tom’s trilogy is over first ?

[–]captainyami21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

let the movies come out first before making all these articles on things that might not happen

[–]PlatitudinousOcelot 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Does this mean they kill of the current one?

[–]sjoebarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thoughts: “can’t wait to see how they screw this up”

[–]Mister-Negative20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Peter is still alive in the universe I think he needs to be much older before Miles is introduced. Peter and Miles would still fill similar roles in the MCU, while also having the same name and (for the most part) powers. If we had a Peter in his 30s and maybe married, I think that’d be the best time to introduce Miles, if you were not to kill Peter. Killing Peter would also be an awful move.

[–]akahaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want more Spider-Man movies with actual fucking Spider-Man/Men in them.

[–]BitesTheDust55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sick of Miles.

[–]richman678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works since no one remembers Peter

[–]Upper_Budget7821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I can speak for many that can the MCU just be rebooted?

I don't care if you keep the same actors or not, but just have some movie have an event that resets the universe somehow like "The Flash" (but be good)

I don't care how much you may like Miles Morales or any new characters or old. It's got to suck to have all the baggage that is the MCU's past be brought in.

Can't use a villain already used. Have to explain any recasting, or schedule bringing in whatever actress/actor that may now be too busy or did something bad in real life.

Whether or not James Gunn liked the Snyderverse or not, I can totally understand wanted to have a clean slate to work with.

Who wants to research 30 movies along with however many comics to create one movie. And not do something that some execs have planned in an other movie that may or may not see the light of day.

[–]ReadShigurui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point it’s just safe to assume they’ll find any way to put Miles into a Peter story lol

[–]Icy-Hope-9263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

waiting for all the people crying woke

[–]MessyMop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a toddler in a post credit scene?

[–]Adavanter_MKI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got zero issues with this. I hope it's still aimed at more... "street level" than the grand nonsense Sony wanted earlier.

[–]johnny_thunders_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think he’ll be Spider-Man for another movie or two

[–]Bacon_is_keyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that can be fine Peter in college and miles in high school doesn’t have to be his spider-man could just be a very small role

[–]huntforhire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was quoted as saying it would be after next trilogy but they are probably scrambling so who knows

[–]ALlTTLEKlTTEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's too soon, and Tom Holands spiderman is the wrong spiderman to introduce Miles

[–]TheRainbowWolf8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’ll probably just introduce Miles, and he might not even have a huge role or anything, and then he’ll get spider powers later.

[–]Ok_Net8976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s great. Though I hope it’s more just Miles introduced and he doesn’t get his powers until at least the end of 4. This could give a smooth transition to his character to take over from Holland’s Peter when he ends his run. Just have him as a supporting character in 4, then get bit and start going through transition in 5 and get some training then teamed up in 6 and can act as a passing the torch movie too for him to take over in the 7th.

[–]animelytical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he just features as Miles briefly, that'd work. Not even as Spidey...a Spidey.

Edit: But I hope to GOD he's compelling as a character. I've seen him handled well, but I'd rather give Peter complete focus for even a couple more projects, so he can really come with a wealth of experience and supreme confidence to contrast with Miles, who could also really do some of the rejection of his powers stuff like from the Raimi trilogy.

But it'd could be in part motivated by stepping on Peter Parker's toes. Something that the audience would understand. Coming of age type stuff.

He doesn't need to be insanely powerful and proficient. He doesn't need to save the world. He needs to save his personal world. Start small. Relatable.

If this is bad, fair enough. Just trying to think of a paletable way to bring in a second Spider-Man.

[–]Heyniceguy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the main villain is Donald Glover as The Prowler.

[–]ZenOkami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feige, my sibling of the Earth, please stop with the Multiverse stuff. We don't want multiverse stuff. Please, just take a break from that. We need a breather. Give us a street-level stakes story, for the love of everything

[–]Apprehensive_Try_185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s too early they should introduce him at the end of the Tom Holland Spider-Man second trilogy which would be #6. I wanted the MCU to introduce Cindy Moon/Silk for the next trilogy. It’d be awesome to see Peter with a new romantic partner who got bit by the same spider as Peter who can help him fight crime especially since MJ doesn’t remember him. Cause Peter has multiple love interests besides MJ. Cindy Moon is my favorite love interest of Peter/Spiderman.

[–]UnequivocalCarnosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How tf is this spider-man going to be a mentor this early? Such a bad call, give it some time

[–]Shmung_lord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can we just have a damn solo street-level Peter Parker movie? Goddamn.

[–]Annual-Ad-4319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miles Brown as Miles Morales

[–]Annual-Ad-4319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Miles Brown will make a perfect Miles Morales Spider-Man

[–]TheFeather1essBiped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he is introduced I hope a) he’s a LOT younger. Like 10 to 12. And b) I hope he doesn’t get his powers yet. They should leave that for a post secret wars thing or at least till the 5th or 6th movie IMAO.

[–]Medical_Ad_5917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Introduce Miles in Secret Wars

[–]Familiar-Park4981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont screw it up mouse

[–]Shogunrja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shit does that mean Donald glover is back as the prowler

[–]Myhtological 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds desperate

[–]MeanSheenBeanMachine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully with a clean fade….

[–]Lawfool85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s way too early. But what do I know? Marvel/Disney is trying to burn through 80 some years of good stories so they can put all the characters that nobody really cares for in the movies. It’s really been working out for them too. 😂

[–]blkglfnks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure whoever they pick will be fine but I do hope it’s Miles Brown

[–]ArmchairOfHeresy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too early, I think. Save it for the 6th movie.

[–]PhlashMcDaniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they going to bring in Ben and Kane as well? Or will they be shuffled in and out of the multiverse?

[–]-Luna-Lavender- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any pascal is not good for spider-man

[–]nsanta91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like It works fine for me. I think people are overreacting a little bit.

Spider-Man 4 is a Peter story, with him being a solo spider man and dealing with his personal life. Probably set in the summer, so MJ and Ned are around. He meets miles, maybe helps out as a normal kid. I’d use prowler as an easy way in, but if they do go the Kingpin route you might be getting too close to spiderverse levels.

Spider-Man 5 is still Peter as a solo Spider-Man, still working on his relationship with MJ and Ned. Miles plays a larger role, gets bit, and starts getting his powers. Maybe add a lower level Villian as a side antagonist, so miles can take him on.

Spider-Man 6 would be both as full time Spider-Man, like we’ve seen in a few places. Movie is still focused on Peter, probably wrapping up his story with Mj and Ned. I’d like to say leaving Spider-Man to miles, but I think they’d have him sacrifice himself at the end of the trilogy.

Anything post that would be Miles. Gives Peter his time to shine, and slowly builds miles as Spider-Man. That way by his time to be the main hero, we don’t have to go through as much origin stuff.

[–]Quirky-Pie9661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FI! NO! LEE!

[–]trying_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

isn't Miles still under Sony?

[–]I3arusu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pete just became Spider-Man, wtf are they doing?

[–]nahman201893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They making some good movies for a bit first please.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MCU spider man can never catch a break. Can we just get one classic Spider-Man adventure?

[–]mariovspino5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe as a quick cameo, this Peter’s career barely started

[–]Fragrant-County3630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s way too early to introduce Miles into the MCU. But I do think that it would be great if he’s introduced in third trilogy though.

[–]PrisonJoe2095 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$$$$

[–]StillHere179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems really rushed with the state of this current Peter Parker. I don't think they're going to get the boost they're hoping for introducing Miles.

[–]sharksnrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. How could this be seen as a bad thing? Peter is the right age and experience level to be a mentor, Miles has already been teased years, and he’s a major Marvel/Spider-Man character. Of course he’s going to join the party.

  2. This is DanielRPK so it could be bs.

[–]Offro4dr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like bullshit to me!

[–]Alone-Ad6020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes

[–]PADDYPOOP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably won’t live up to the animated films due to how the MCU has to be so damn different for no reason nowadays.

[–]mallowdout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care

[–]MichaelAChristian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll stop watching. This is bait and switch. They barely made one good mcu Spiderman movie and now ending it. No morlun. No spiderverse. No sinister six. No kingpin. No goblin. No venom verse crossover. No anything. So now I can watch miles fight Peter's enemies and date Peter's Ex girlfriend while using Peter's webshooters and using Peter's identity. But without Peter. Might as well watch Madame Webb.

[–]pretendingtolisten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they're planning ANYTHING else at all for the other 55 movies and shows they're shitting out

[–]Kakaroli23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Fuck no. Stay away from Miles Morales. Across the Spiderverse should be the last project until they repair the cinematic Miles Morales. I don't want any shit on Miles from this trash MCU.

[–]WilliamEmmerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's too early for Miles. Unless they introduce Miles as a 5 year old, he shouldn't come along until Peter is more of an adult.

[–]Aranaskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just have SM4 be about Peter’s loneliness. His identity was erased. How does someone live and rebuild their lives from that?

[–]gregTheEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too early IMO. Peter is just getting started.

[–]frenziest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give Peter an “college” trilogy, where he’s on his own and dealing with more street level stuff (Kingpin, Tombstone, etc.).

Miles would be good for a third trilogy, with Peter in more of a mentor role.

[–]Unreliable-Chain23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have we really gotten to the point where writers feel the need for multiple spider-men to be in one universe all the time? Seriously, I love just having Peter as the Solo spidey swinging around but come on. 616 is crowded the majority of times as is and Insomniac will do whatever weird thing from now on with Miles. Spiderverse is pretty good I guess but that doesn't mean Miles is just a character to be tossed in as an addition.

I see his involvement as a spider-man based off of stepping into vacant big shoes, not basically riding Peter's coatails.Seriously in a world where Peter's not dead why would Miles chose to still call himself Spider-man when most of his arcs revolve around being himself or his own brand.

[–]relientkenny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seems too soon. can’t fuck up Miles casting. this is one of those “one chance” moments

[–]Voice_Nerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really care anymore

[–]catpissxoxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JUST GIVE PETER A SOLO MOVIE LIKE THE GOOD OL DAYS GODDAMN

[–]Ry90Ry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MCU is so over lol Peter hasn’t even had a constant arc as iron spider boy

[–]Honest_Award_3310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god. Totally not necessary

[–]agdtinman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems maybe like this would give Disney a lot of leverage over Sony. “Oh, well, we can’t use your Spider-man? Ok! We got Spider-man, I mean, Spin!”

[–]Radiant_Flamingo4995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah please no. For the sake of both of them, please no.

[–]Latter-Contact-6814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love miles, but can't we just have a movie where Tom Holland just gets to be spiderman?

[–]Drabins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't care for this character he's not spider-man and never will be no matter how hard they try and make it so.

[–]Realcbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Introducing Miles is nbd. Aaron has already shown up so its not too hard to believe.

But introducing Miles as Spiderman? Waaaay too soon

[–]Commercial-Hand656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too soon

[–]_Dark_Spark_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They better not give him that yee yee ass haircut

[–]Plebe-Uchiha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hire

Jharrel Jerome

[+]

[–]FreneticAtol778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kinda getting sick of Miles being in everything. He can't wait.

[–]anonymous32434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully they at least wait until the movie after to kill Tom Holland's spider man lol

[–]RamereTheLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We all saw this coming right? Like I don’t think there is a chance sm4 would happen if miles wasn’t in it.

[–]Rocket_SixtyNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad idea.

[–]Specialist_Cress_112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like that provided, they give him a minor role like Maria Hill level.

[–]SuspiciousSkittlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels like a bummer, to be honest. Holland's Parker finally has a chance to take center stage, and he might get saddled as the mentor role.

[–]QuarterRican04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too soon. I thought the whole point of casting a young Peter Parker was to get a long series of stories out of him. Not just shuffle him out unnaturally after 4 movies

[–]dontforgethyphen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's gooooo

[–]ok1092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss the days when I could just watch a movie and be surprised by things. Instead producers love blowing their own loads before shooting for the films even begin.

[–]OwnResearcher3206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d prefer peter being the mcus spidey and miles spinning out into a sony franchise that some times crosses over with mcu not that i don’t like miles but if we can only get one in the mcu i think petes rouges have more overlap with the rest of the mcu and he has the longer personal history with the major marvel pantheon not that miles doesn’t have the ability to pivot but we barley have any real peter spider-man solo mcu for them to bring in a legacy hawkeye and mrs.marvel being legacys is more buyable since there forebears had been active for more then a decade and they didn’t have many strong solo acts prier to their mcu debuts. They may have nipped a bunch of characters in the bud already but my big issue with the mcu is how it’s constantly moving forward never living in a time it feels like every movie is two years after the last

[–]Few_Carry_4912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if this is so Sony can have one and marvel the other so they stop fighting over the movies

[–]HappyHappyJoyJoyJoy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, this could easily work. Miles is a side character, (without powers) and gets bitten by a spider toward the end of the movie. Then the post credits scene actually shows him with his powers. Oh wait, that's Spider-man Ps4.

[–]HappyHappyJoyJoyJoy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Thendofreason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels too soon. Yes, things in the mcu are going really slow, but that's no reason to try and rush other stuff. Tom is still seen as a young spider man. Definitely doesn't seem like the mentor type yet. I'd want like 2 more movies first. Maybe if he comes in after secret wars

[–]YourFellowMiguelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's anything other than introducing the child character that is years away from gaining his powers then it's a mistake. It's way too early. Peter Parker needs to be an OG leading the Avengers before Miles Morales gains powers and becomes Spider-Man.
