ahs coven

hot take. don’t hunt me down lol

me and my brother watched all of the series together during 2021. i’ve never seen anyone besides us that didn’t really enjoy the season. kathy, angela and jessica made it iconic of course, but as far as the plot, it was boring to us. a good season nonetheless, but last on my ranking

American Horror Story Coven, WTF?

I just went over to r/AmericanHorrorStory and they're all loving that shit and down voting any who didn't like crazy. But seriously, I want to know, did everyone really like it that much? I thought it was absolutely shit! For a show that usually slides by on the god-given talents in its cast, this time not even that could help it... I really didn't like it (except for Angela Bassett!), where was the horror story in that? It felt like a more fucked up version of Vampire Diaries!

celebrities you think could’ve been witches in ahs: coven?

we all know stevie nicks made a cameo in coven as “the white witch” and i was wondering what celebrities do you think would’ve fit in as witches in the season? personally i think lady gaga and erykah badu would’ve made good candidates :)

Parallel between ahs coven and Scream Queens

October is when I find myself doing good old ahs and scream queens rewatches and I can’t believe I never caught this parallel!

In ahs coven, they convict myrtle early on in the season going to the hotel room where she was based and the walls being filled with images of Fiona much like we see in the Scream Queens pilot that Ms Bean has of Chanel!

It’s coincidental how this led to both Myrtle and Ms Beans deaths.

Was Zoe always meant to be the Supreme in AHS Coven?
false

I saw this comment from a post and Is this true? If so, this changes history OMG. Basically..

Zoe was set up from the start to be the supreme. They switched gears midway and that's when it went to shit. Every season fucks itself in the middle and completely blows the ending. It's just something he does for some reason. She pretty much beat the voodoo queen and had all the powers before she was even fully trained.

What are black viewers thoughts on the madam lalaurie storyline in american horror story coven season?

I rewatched american horror story coven recently, and the way the season starts is with madam lalaurie torturing the people she kept as her slaves. these scenes are graphic, horrifying and even traumatizing, although it’s technically “fake” it looks very real and knowing this actually happened. now where i’m coming from, is i am white and these scenes made me so sick to my stomach, and i know the actress who played queenie had panic attacks seeing the actors who were portrayed as slaves being violently tortured. so i am wondering how this felt to watch as a black viewer? *specifically the fact that they brought her in as a main character and kind of made her look “human” and even tried to redeem her character at one point or another. although the other characters do treat her like shit and fiona appointed her queenies “slave” but idk. * so i was searching for some reddit thread but i couldn’t find anything so i decided i’d post and ask myself. and yes i know that she was also portrayed as a retched human being who deserved the worst things in life and marie laveau did give her what she deserved!

One of my favorite scenes from AHS: Coven. Fiona demands respect. I remember I was sitting on the couch when I first watched it, and this scene made me sit up straight.
