Do you have any stories about working with Phil Collins?

      [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 637 points638 points  (32 children)

ya know, my memories are mostly of him being chill and supportive. he had some more acting experience than me so helped my feel comfortable on set.

working in scenes was fun and sometimes funny... he had a bumbling quality about him sometimes that would send some takes sideways, but eventually get the perfect Phil Collins scene :D

      [–]S2K08 144 points145 points  (10 children)

You can kinda tell he had experience from how well he delivered his lines

      THEY'RE DIRTY FUCKIN COPS

the episode is s07e03, 'three good men are dead' and it's damn near perfect

      (burgers randy, cheeseburgers)

      [–][deleted] 83 points84 points  (7 children)

I never laughed harder than I did at Phil and Jacob. Easily the funniest.

Bubbles gets a run up. They're all fantastic honestly, but bubbles and Phil and the mustard tiger scene had me crying.

Phil was just a stand out every time he was on screen. Especially the "Whatcha starin' at m'gut fer!?" lmfao fucking slaming the table dying funny.

      RIP.

      [–]MilwaukeeMan420 196 points197 points  (17 children)

YOUR FULL NAME IS PHILADELPHIA COLLINS?

      [–]Ovreel 250 points251 points  (9 children)

The scene where the bottle kids attack and hit Phil in his gut, making him belch uncontrollably made me cry laughing.

      [–]capnjon 81 points82 points  (3 children)

Oh my god I forgot about that scene and I'm laughing just thinking about it.

I also remember a scene where Bubbles had to give him mouth-to-mouth, but he'd just eaten a ton of canned fish. When he came to, he belched directly into Bubbles mouth, and Bubbles lost his shit about 'inhaling nebulized mackerel' - I cried laughing so hard at that line.

Greatest memory working with Mike, John and Rob?

        [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 1856 points1857 points  (32 children)

just riding around in the Shitmobile... surreal. maybe it was the gas fumes

        [–]IceGoddessLumi 258 points259 points  (4 children)

Fucking love the shitmobile. I had a 1979 Chrysler Newport (similar to the New Yorker) for my first car and man that thing was a beast!

        [–]Poops_McYolo 163 points164 points  (12 children)

How did you guys keep that thing running? How would you film on actual roads?

        [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 668 points669 points  (11 children)

there was a whole team keeping that thing going in scenes... it needs to be brought in on a flatbed, jumped started every time... gas fumes galore... frustrating but pretty funny and certainly on brand. the roads would need to be shit down by lollipop folks (traffic control).

        [–]--redacted-- 195 points196 points  (2 children)

Plus you gotta keep a clearing stick handy

        [–]shung 46 points47 points  (1 child)

Hey Jacob love the instagram and content! Heres my Question: Were Barb's scalloped potatos really that fucked?

          [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 850 points851 points  (5 children)

watery...... bland.... lumpy.... yes, totally fucked!

          [–]jamrockandroll 790 points791 points  (15 children)

In your opinion, what was the most ridiculous scene you had to film in all the show’s history?

          [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 1317 points1318 points  (14 children)

Gosh.... getting my balls (almost) chewed off by a dog before doing crimes at the mall comes to mind, but so many possibilities.

          [–]gravitysfault 242 points243 points  (3 children)

Hello Jacob, I hope you're doing well and thank you for being part of TPB!! I have 2 questions. The first is from my friend : were Phil's burps real? The second from me : What is one memory from the set that you still treasure a lot? Thank you!

          [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 329 points330 points  (0 children)

as i recall, Richard (aka Phil) could deliver VERY impressive burps, but they may have over-dubbed them in post to make them even MORE crazy... there's certainly word out there that J-Roc is the master burper.. cant speak to the accuracy

          edited for spelling

          [–]noinnocentbystander 471 points472 points  (103 children)

How much of the show is improvised? Who is the best improviser in the cast? Love the show!!

          [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 1091 points1092 points  (102 children)

The boys are amazing improvisors, but the best by far is Jonathan Torrence. Dudes a machine. (One you cant turn off, even when you want to ;)

          [–]Electronic_Ratio8053 236 points237 points  (8 children)

I spin more rhymes than a lazy susan

          [–]Interesting-Emu-3261 481 points482 points  (15 children)

isn’t he from the department of namsayins?

          [–]littlest_homo 299 points300 points  (9 children)

They're doing a namcensus, counting my knowmsayins

          [–]MarlDaeSu 132 points133 points  (7 children)

I laughed so fucking hard at that first time I heard it. "What is this? A knowwhamcensus?" Absolutely A star line. Along with "its Scary Busey up in here. Even ghosts are like waggled statue nah I'm out." I was literally crying with laughter at that.

          [–]itsyobbiwonuseek 30 points31 points  (1 child)

"Its Scarey Busey up in here" was one of my favorite lines from J-Roc 😂

          [–]kushtiannn 18 points19 points  (0 children)

          “I WAS GETTIN CHANGED”

          [–]ArchdukeBurrito 86 points87 points  (0 children)

That was definitely improvised, he looks so fucking proud of himself for coming up with it when he delivers that line.

          [–]Re_Cy_Cling 72 points73 points  (2 children)

Department of Knowmsayins, with a masters in Mafkz.

          [–]Juliuscesear1990 90 points91 points  (4 children)

The scene where he is cleaning out motel rooms and comes out saying it's it's scary Busey gets me every time

          [–]BravesMaedchen 56 points57 points  (2 children)

When the strip club comes crashing down and you can hear J-Roc yell, "It's rainin ma-fuckas!!!" is my favorite moment in the show. Also the rap about titties.

          [–]peeweesherman1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I like when Ricky is threatening to take his keyboard back by grabbing it, and every time he tugs it goes, "J..J-Roc baby..J-Roc Baby." The little things in that show were hilarious and done so well.

          [–]someonesaveus 144 points145 points  (35 children)

Holy shit, I had no idea that JRoc was also Noah from Letterkenny. Amazing.

          [–]dillgasm 74 points75 points  (4 children)

He also shows up in shoresy as the sports announcer (along with Jacob Tierney) for the hockey games. Pretty sure you can hear his voice doing the same in letterkenny though we never see him.

          [–]Proof-Bid-8621 26 points27 points  (0 children)

He's in every Canadian comedy since 1993.

Also, how much fun was season 7 for you? Getting a more prominent on-screen role and getting to be Julian Jr. must've been fun on set.

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 818 points819 points  (17 children)

it was very fun. as a non-actor being plunged into that environment was very surreal... at times nerve-racking having to do things in front of a camera, but super fun as well

            [–]Lucas_Steinwalker 337 points338 points  (7 children)

You were rockin’ Julian’s look haird.

But seriously, season 7 doesn’t get enough love and you were one of the highlights.

            [–]IAMA_MOTHER_AMA 327 points328 points  (1 child)

Lower your fucking drink in front of Julian respect

            [–]SwansonHOPS 47 points48 points  (1 child)

            TIL you were a non-actor.

            [–]jatt5abidosto 216 points217 points  (56 children)

Is there ever actual drinking during filming?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 470 points471 points  (18 children)

theres this gross fake weed stuff they use on film sets... real stanky dry crud. someone should invent a better herbal blend.

            [–]Mragftw 164 points165 points  (10 children)

They should use real CBD flower or something

            [–]fuck_off_ireland 43 points44 points  (8 children)

Yeah, not sure why they wouldn't. Maybe it was just harder to come by at the time. The market has really exploded over the last 5-10 years.

            [–]KetoNED 99 points100 points  (2 children)

There’s no way that snoop smoked that shitty stuff

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 245 points246 points  (9 children)

that would be a pretty huge no-no... TPB was/is an actual film set!

            [–]Rogue__Jedi 203 points204 points  (4 children)

Which is incredible. They've done such a great job of making it feel like it's just a dude with a camera following the boys around.

It feels way more immersive than The Office in my opinion.

            [–]GaviFromThePod 25 points26 points  (0 children)

They call them actors for a reason. John Dunsworth was famously a teetotaler but played an alcoholic better than anyone I've ever seen. RIP.

            [–][deleted] 247 points248 points  (8 children)

John Dunsworth (Lahey) said it was iced tea. And for doing such a fantastic job portraying a drunk, he rarely ever drank alcohol.

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 177 points178 points  (0 children)

some days youd have a choice... though yes certain pops would look more like certain liquors

            [–]Firm_Lie_3870 68 points69 points  (1 child)

Dunsworth was a national treasure. Miss that shitbird

            [–]Life-Sky3645 44 points45 points  (0 children)

He will always be the liquor.

            [–]FapleJuice 15 points16 points  (2 children)

            It's actually impressive.

I swear they drink and smoke real shit on the podcast though 😂

            [–]speedyhemi 79 points80 points  (4 children)

How about the smoking herb during filming? Did Snoop bust out real spliffs? 🤣

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 306 points307 points  (1 child)

im pretty sure Snoop doesn't smoke fake weed. i dunno, but i feel thats the case.

            [–]EaglesPvM 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Zero chance Snoop would smoke fake weed

            [–]chefchr1s 57 points58 points  (4 children)

The liquor was fake, but the piss jugs were real

            [–]canadiantravis89 142 points143 points  (8 children)

Finally, whatever happened to your brother? I always hoped we'd get him back in the Netflix episodes haha. That guy was intense.

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 251 points252 points  (5 children)

Mike O'Neal (Thomas Collins) is a good pal of Mike Clattenburg, and one of the sound dudes on TPB in earlier seasons. ... O'Neal didn't want to do the role really, rumour was that Clattenburg convinced him to do it for laughs...

Who knows, maybe he'll return to the park one day....

            [–]PowerfulJoeyKarate 66 points67 points  (0 children)

            That guy was intense

            Incredibly underrated character

            [–]redlinezo6 29 points30 points  (1 child)

Who's sweet car was that he had in the show?

            [–]Regular_Bell8271 43 points44 points  (0 children)

            How's your neck?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 212 points213 points  (9 children)

oh man i may have to get a real neck brace soon. my real life back is fucked... but i still get around!

            [–]tootired4disshit 54 points55 points  (6 children)

Damn dude I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure they could write that into the show easily anyway. You're an awesome actor/character thanks for doing this AMA!

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 132 points133 points  (5 children)

i may have overstated the fucked-upedness there.. its just a regular bad back. every year or two im laid up with spasms for a week or so.... those times are bad otherwise its just an average 48 year old back I reckon ;)

            [–]Davemanye 239 points240 points  (5 children)

Are you a flower or dab kinda guy?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 484 points485 points  (3 children)

flower all the way. and edibles part of the way. dabs on occasion.

            [–]FartMongerSupreme 114 points115 points  (4 children)

What are your thoughts on the transition from when they had Mike Clattenburg vs after he was no longer on the project?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 264 points265 points  (3 children)

Knowing i wasnt a trained actor, Clattenburg would often provide more direction and tips on how to deliver a line or whatever.... during later seasons when there was a new director for almost every episode, they didnt know me as well and often expect me to know more 'acting stuff' than i did/do...

            [–]FartMongerSupreme 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply! I always enjoyed your presence on the show.

            [–]N00bpkerxx 330 points331 points  (15 children)

How much money do you think Ricky has stolen from you in cigarettes and pepperoni throughout the years?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 646 points647 points  (12 children)

in TPB world: probably $8000 worth. Canadian dollars.
            in real life: maybe $5

            [–]Unotheserfreeright24 452 points453 points  (6 children)

But that's water under the fridge

            [–]A_1337_Canadian 141 points142 points  (2 children)

Worst case Ontario you just steal his smokes.

            [–]canadave_nyc 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Worst case Ontario, he never gets paid for the items.

            [–]N00bpkerxx 15 points16 points  (1 child)

Psh, i carry $5 around in quarters. I got work to do.

            [–]Criss_Crossx 99 points100 points  (5 children)

Long time TPB fan, it's my favorite show! Got me through some tough times.

Question: What is your favorite burger to eat?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 136 points137 points  (4 children)

A bacon single cheeseburger with the works. Ummmmm , i may have to go for one after this AMA!

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 117 points118 points  (0 children)

            with fries

            [–]el_chuck 24 points25 points  (1 child)

Happy to hear you haven't turned your back on burgers. They were good to your old man, and they'll be good to you.

            [–]idpickpizzaoveryou 95 points96 points  (1 child)

Dude I just wanted say I love you and your work. Never seen my fiancee laugh harder than watching TPB after telling me time and time she never would.

            Does Jonathan Torrens smell good?

            BAAAAAAMMMMMMM!!!!

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 80 points81 points  (0 children)

cheers :) yeah Jonathan is very well groomed

            [–]Spyce 84 points85 points  (5 children)

Do you still see the boys? Any chance of another season or spin off with you and Trinity

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 163 points164 points  (4 children)

'Fours a Crowd' with me, Trin, Mo and Ricky?

I havent been on set in a while, but anticipate some TPB action in the relatively near future.

            [–]reverendjesus 34 points35 points  (1 child)

“After all, you know what they say—booze company, and force a crowd.”

            -Ricky, probably

            [–]canadianteam 210 points211 points  (14 children)

What are your feelings about Michael Jackson, aka Trevor the elongated twiggy alien leaving the show. Do you agree/disagree with statements he's made in the past about the work environment, treatment, compensation, etc. Have you or the cast had any communication with him that you know of?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 327 points328 points  (9 children)

It's unfortunate he felt fucked over. as a working class dude, i was always pretty happy with pay on TPB, it pays way more than restaurant work, which was my main thing before i started focusing on art more. It (acting, even at base union rates of about CAD$1000) is not bad. Days can be few and far between though, believe you me.

But i digress... by my understanding, production asked Mike to come back along with Corey in season 8.... Corey said yes, but Mike... the rest is history... but who knows maybe someday!!

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 343 points344 points  (2 children)

note: ive been paid the base union rate, and also considerable more, no complaints... though it would be nice if royalties bought more than a couple of ounces of weed a year... Canadian TV for ya!

            [–]yuletide 30 points31 points  (1 child)

This seems insane given how much viewing you surely get on Netflix

            [–]rukarrn 82 points83 points  (4 children)

I've always wanted to see Trevor come back as a villain, maybe working with Cyrus or on his own with his own crew. Sort of the anti-boys. Trying to get his revenge on Ricky and Julian.

            [–]xaniel99 67 points68 points  (4 children)

How does it feel to be part of the greatest Canadian TV Show ever made?

surreal. trippy. good... i like it :)

            [–]fin_findlay 124 points125 points  (19 children)

Of all the artwork you've done, which piece is your favourite?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 227 points228 points  (18 children)

really tough to say.... maybe The Wheel of Deluded Capitalist Existence. i usually get bored or whatever with a piece and bring it to a close, but that was for a friends band originally so i had to keep working on it, and working on it.... and it worked out pretty good!

            [–][deleted] 213 points214 points  (12 children)

The Wheel of Deluded Capitalist Existence

Damn dude. I had to look it up and it was worth it.

            Oh wow. That's amazing.

            [–]metaglot 64 points65 points  (8 children)

Holy shit! In season 7 youre driving with Ray in that beige car, and he hits a tree and the car jumps and the door on your side gets all warped. That scene has had me in stitches so many times. How well prepared was that?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 93 points94 points  (5 children)

            zero percent prepared.
im pretty sure the crash was unintentional... though theres a possibility they just didn't tell me to get a natural reaction. that could have ended very badly though.

            [–]metaglot 17 points18 points  (3 children)

Did anything ever end badly like that?

            [–]unconquered 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The night Baerb made her scalloped potatoes.

            [–]funplayer3s 122 points123 points  (5 children)

How did you actually meet the boys?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 390 points391 points  (4 children)

Mike Clattenburg's (at the time) wife, Ann-Marie (sp?) was a make-up artist on a set i was doing some background acting on, back in 1999 or 2000 (fyi the movie was Scotland PA featuring Christopher Walken!). Knowing Mike was looking for sketchy dudes to fill small roles, she got my info and passed it along.... the rest is Sunnyvale history!

            [–]organichedgehog2 232 points233 points  (0 children)

            Lol "sketchy dudes"

            [–]supercooper3000 148 points149 points  (0 children)

Such a greasy answer, I love it.

            [–]canadiantravis89 212 points213 points  (14 children)

It's one I'm sure you hear a lot, but will there be any more TPB in the future? Hard without Lahey for sure but I think it could be done well.

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 464 points465 points  (11 children)

I've heard a little birdy say that three other little birdies said at a fan convention that Yes, indeed there was more TPB coming down the weed pipe. or shit pipe.... covid restrictions really cramped things up in the filming department

            [–]TheBunk_TB 64 points65 points  (0 children)

            Ride the Shithurricane!

            (Thank you for your work!)

            [–]unseatedlight 53 points54 points  (2 children)

How do you feel about being made to steal piss in the movie for Julian. Do you think an idea like that in real life would be lucrative?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 65 points66 points  (0 children)

that was fun... cool set... though i tweaked my back having to duck through the trap door carrying the big bottle of piss!

yeah i think money could be made, IS being made, selling piss, though not from soldiers, those guys are drugged up big time (some of the ones i know ;)

            [–]Orangeb0lt 130 points131 points  (6 children)

Any knowledge of new TPB coming down the line? I watched the Jail episodes, but obviously i want to see how Jacob is handling the Dirty Burger now that Phil has passed.

            [–]Gubzs 41 points42 points  (2 children)

I have a bunch! You can answer some or all or none!

Will we ever get more live action main series TPB? John was a critical player in the show but it's a shame to see it end.

How scripted is all the slapstick in the show? Falls, breaking shit, smacking each other, etc. I get the feeling the show goes off script frequently.

What's casting like for such a unique show?

In the episodes where Jacob was working like 6 jobs to support trinity and baby Mo, how in the fuck did the props and makeup come together to make you look so fucked up because that was hysterical. 😂

Which cast member is most like their character in real life?

Your character showed up really early in the series as a more relatively normal person, I think season 1 when Ricky is robbing the gas station, but not as a main character. How did Jacob go from being a somewhat straight man to Ricky's nonsense to a main character in the show?

How much fun did you all have shooting the lost in the woods episodes where they boys are having you build a cigarette train to America?

            Cheers bud!

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 91 points92 points  (1 child)

            yo bud!

Main series: i've heard rumours, and think i saw a video clip of The Boys at a fan convention indicating YES.

Scripted: about 65%. LOTS of improv and alternate takes. I'm not a big improvisor and tend to stick to the script, but sometimes am thrown into the fire so to speak. The Boys are masters... often doing new jokes/insults (if im around haha) every take.

I've sometimes considered the similarities between my character and me..... i think some members of the Roc Pile might be not too far off.....

Thanks for calling me normal. Or more normal haha. Yeah, i was 'around Sunnyvale' in early seasons, but then Cory and Trevor left the show they needed jail cover for the boys so my part was expanded (along with the Alien Trevors) in season 7.

The woods were cold, fucked, bug infested, and fun as fuck!

            Poise!!!

            Do you miss John Dunsworth?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 642 points643 points  (2 children)

            who doesnt. RIP Johnny boy.

            [–]KidnappingColor 42 points43 points  (0 children)

He was one of my favorites, still sad to this day anytime I think of it. RIP to him.

            Everyone misses John Dunsworth

            [–]doughie 194 points195 points  (15 children)

Came here to say something about this man. First off, he didn't drink at all, he's just a hilarious actor. Second off, check out his youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mcQfP8k51s

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 147 points148 points  (1 child)

checking it, thanks :) a hilarious and skilled actor indeed :)

            [–]hkzor 71 points72 points  (26 children)

Hey Jacob! In your opinion, who is the most underrated character in all of TPB? If you can, elaborate your answer.

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 222 points223 points  (18 children)

maybe Donny? Never seen on camera, but heard through the park keeping noise-makers in line....

TBH im overdue to watch the whole series again... maybe ill do so this winter, treat it as 'work' during my working holiday

            edited for spelling

            [–]RatherBSnowBoarding 53 points54 points  (10 children)

Dang I always thought that was Bubbles doing the off camera yelling.

Edit: just looked it up and it is indeed Mike Smith doing the voice acting.

            [–]HugeAnalBeads 43 points44 points  (7 children)

            Enough with the fucking guns!

            [–]f4f4f4f4f4f4f4f4 70 points71 points  (2 children)

I PAID FOR A LADY, NOT FUCKIN' CORY AND TREVOR!!

            [–]Mobius135 41 points42 points  (1 child)

I love that the one or two times he does show up on camera his face is blurred. Donny didn't approve this filming shit, he just wants everybody to shut the fuck up.

Come to think of it, TPB rarely blurred faces, only Donny and one or two of the park cats come to mind.

            [–]mojitorandy 33 points34 points  (14 children)

I live abroad and once in a while I get asked about Canadian tv shows. I inevitably mention TPB is a must see classic. Are there any episodes that you feel really stand out?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 69 points70 points  (7 children)

            Maybe begin with season 2?
The 'roughness' of season 1 might be a little challenging for some... though it tough because so much of the humour is based on knowing the Boy's characters, and ideally one would want to build up from the beginning.... i'd be curious to know others opinions about this.

As mentioned elsewhere today, i really need to re-watch ALL the seasons.

            [–]Emergencykebab 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I agree that the show is the type that really gets hilarious when you know the characters. When I rewatched with my wife, I appreciated season 1 a lot more than I did the first time around.

My wife enjoyed 1 and 2, but she said season 3 is where is really got to an S-tier show. There’s one line in particular that elevated it to that high level -

‘Gut Cassidy and the Sundance cheeseburger’

Poor Randy. Underrated character for me. Him and Lahey work so well together

            [–]canucklurker 99 points100 points  (4 children)

I'm straight but kinda want to make babies with J-roc. He's got the Street Cents.

            Is that wrong?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 111 points112 points  (0 children)

            that's natural i think

            [–]pieman2313 58 points59 points  (1 child)

What are your favorite stories of a time you and the boys went completely off script that did and did not make the show?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 114 points115 points  (0 children)

let me rewatch some episodes and let it jog my memory... i havent watched the series's in ages, other than season 4 last winter, which was VERY enjoyable.

            ill follow up.

            [–]Mookie007x 26 points27 points  (3 children)

Are you willing to do any other projects?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 93 points94 points  (0 children)

totally. though my acting range is narrow, basically 'Jacob Collins' type characters... which are pretty much 'Jacob Rolfe' type characters....

            [–]SpicyMarge 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Do you make art every day?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

more in fits and starts... these days about 5 days a week.

            [–]dabasauras-rex 22 points23 points  (0 children)

            1) you are freaking awesome dude. I hope you know that !

            2) are there any non-TPB projects you’ve done that you would encourage us to check out?

            3) do you ever hang out with other cast members (the boys) outside shooting/filming?

            4) what’s your favorite way to smoke pot?

So psyched to see you on here dude !

            [–]arumrunner 20 points21 points  (4 children)

Was there ever any real weed on the set?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Everyone wants to know! See below

            [–]tylerlees777 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Has your artwork ever been in an episode?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 45 points46 points  (1 child)

Yes... as i recall, theres a Lets Get High poster in Ricky's weed shop, and Drugs Are Rad in the hospital when Ricky's in a coma. Maybe more :)

            [–]PlanetLandon 21 points22 points  (1 child)

I heard that once the show switched over to a “fake” trailer park, some of the crew actually lived in the trailers during production. Is that true?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

            Probably! Can't 100% verify.

            [–]EpicSombreroMan 38 points39 points  (2 children)

What's the biggest highlight of your career so far, as an actor or artist, etc?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 107 points108 points  (1 child)

            working on Trailer Park Boys

            [–]Feeling_Love_1237 41 points42 points  (1 child)

Are there anything’s you said no to while filming TPB?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 113 points114 points  (0 children)

haha, there usually say yes to crazy shit, from wearing a banana hammock to some of my own stunts like being cross-checked out the window by Ricky, but one time I can recall insisting on a stunt dude was the scene where the horse kicks 'me' through the barn wall (season 12).

The production had weakened the boards, and thought I could do it, but i think my back was feeling not-super-strong and i had a bad feeling about the stunt... so they got a stunt dude. It worked out pretty convincingly id say.

            [–]Optimal_Violinist_68 17 points18 points  (3 children)

What kind of music do you listen to?

            [–]TheMostCuntiestCunt 17 points18 points  (4 children)

Will we ever get more Trailer Park Boys content like the prison season?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

see above... good odds i'd say.

            [–]Jimmy_Bimboto 17 points18 points  (2 children)

Hi Jacob! Thanks for the AMA and congrats on playing that ridiculously funny character :) Whas there a scene where you guys were broking character/laughing so hard that you thought you'd never be able to make it?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 36 points37 points  (1 child)

            Thanks Jimmy.

Yeah from time to time actors would get the giggles, or break character when funny or unexpected stuff happens. One trick to try to save the scene is to turn away before breaking into a grin... at least its not on camera.

But I didn't have that issue much.. I sometimes one of my most valuable abilities on set is not laughing at funny shit.

specific scenes don't come to mind... my brain works in strange ways though, ill followup when i remember haha

            [–]ray5ry 15 points16 points  (5 children)

Could you tell us something really weird and/or completely unexpected about you?

            [–]JacobMcCollins[S] 45 points46 points  (4 children)

My blood has super high levels of gadolinium for no known reason.
