just a heads up on these, they are zero drop. If you arent used to that, dont do anything nuts until you get used to them. I took a pair of these on a 3 day backpacking trip and my calves were in intense pain for like a week when I got back
Jumping on this to say if you have high arches/instep don't get a zero drop shoe. I used to wear them and it caused issues with my Achilles and heel/ankle spurs. If you have flatter feet they might be a good option though.
Edit: This is what I was told by my podiatrist, your experience may be different but I'm not looking forward to the surgery I'm going to need from wearing the wrong kind of shoes for decades and would rather help others avoid the same.
Also note that these are the previous version as the current model is the Lone Peak 6. However, according to online reviews, the difference between both versions is mostly cosmetic. Sizing is the same for me on both models.
The sizing has been consistent for me. I had the 4.5s and now have a pair of the 5s. Used the 6s to size for 5s and got them ordered online.
Definitely not just for running. These have replaced my hiking boots for anything less than 10mi.
Agreed. I don't run but switched to trailer runners for hiking (over from hiking boots and hiking shoes). The difference is that I have to be more mindful of "how" I am stepping on uneven surfaces now but the benefit of decreased weight on the legs definitely makes up for that. Plus, going from high tops to low tops makes my ankles stronger supposedly.

Timp 3 are junk. The build quality is terrible so it's not uncommon for them to start falling apart within the first 100 miles. It was enough of a failure that they overhauled the entire shoe for the Timp 4.
I bought some lone peak 5’s on sale and the material in the toe box part of the shoe like folds over itself and sinks in whenever I lift my heel up as I take a step. Has this ever happened to you guys with a shoe before?
Yes , noticed it at first but after my first few miles I could see it fold , but didn’t feel it anymore

Damn they don't have my size. I just bought a pair off REI since my 4.5's were finally worn out, I was able to get the 4.5s for $65.00. Looks like I'll be keeping my current 5s for now.
I have a lone peak 3 I think, and the toe box is super short, feels like a size down in length. Anyone know if this version is the same?
If it helps, I'm 8.5 6E in New Balance 990v5 and 8.5 4E in New Balance 993. Usually a size 10 in Nike and other brands.
I normally wear a New Balance 9 4E the LP 9 Wides fit better (more snug) in the heel and wider in the toebox for me. The Altra Torins 5 are the same fit. I do use a modified lacing in the arch area to provide more room in the mid foot.
