Well, I know I’m old because I immediately giggled and said Ally Sheedy! when Eden popped on screen. Had to show a pic to my bf who has never seen The Breakfast Club. They really nailed the vibe.

It's very common for kids and teens who haven't quite figured out who they are yet to model their style after cultural touchstones that resonate with them.

Having grown up in the 80s, I recall many many girls who dressed like Madonna or Molly Ringwald or even Cyndi Lauper, and more than a few like Ally Sheedy from Breakfast Club.

This show as a whole is wildly nostalgic, as it's meant to be, but Eden as Ally really sent me back.
