Endgame: The almost perfect album, also has a story to tell as a whole album, i personally like that.
It has really great songs: Make it stop (September's Children), Survivor guilt, broken mirrors, A gentlemen's coup and endgame. Those are the standouts to me. Bonus track Lanterns is also really good although imo it does not fit the album as a whole. (which is why it's probably a bonus track :P)
Help is on the way is the only song I like a bit less.

Sufferer and the witness:
ready to fall, behind closed doors, the good left undone as standouts.
Don't care too much for chamber the cartridge.

Siren song of the counter culture:
Really solid album as well: Paper wings, dancing for rain, swing life away and rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated as best songs, with give it all as a very enjoyable one as well. All other songs a bit middle of the road for rise against standards, but that means still good songs.
State of the union get a slight knockdown in rating because I don't like the screaming in this song in particular and it also makes that if I put it as wakke up alarm song my gf will kill me.

Appeal to reason:
All pretty enjoyable songs, but not as much standouts for me: Audience of one and The dirt whispered as best songs. The bonus tracks Historia calamitatum and Elective amnesia deserve a mention ans should have been on the main album imo.

Ghost note symphonies:Always hard to judge an album of already existing songs but Rise against rocking it with a ukelele with the Faint resemblance acoustic and the acoustic version of voices of camera really do well.
Also the slightly more melancholic Savior I've come to like over the original.

Nowhere generation:
I think I have the hardest time judging this one. Sometimes I think it's amazing and sometimes I think it's just good. Nowhere generation into talking to ourselves into broken dreams into Forfeit is probably my favorite part of the album.
Sudden Urge I don't really like.

Wolves:
Pretty solid tracks on it, but no standouts. I do not like welcome to the breakdown and politics of love that much, and Bullshit is annoying to me.

RPM: I often turn off the album after the first half, not that the songs in the second half are bad, but I also don''t particularly care for them. Bllack maskks and gasoline, voices off camera and like the angel are my favorites.
Historia calamitatum: Some good covers (ballad of hollis brown) buut also a lot I don't really care for.
Also some more orignal song on here I care for the least. Mostly the good bonus tracks of previous albums are what makes the album worth it.
Unraveling: Alive and well,, my life inside your heart and everchanging are my favorites from this album, the rest of the songs on here are no punishment to listen to, but I won't actively put them on myself most of the time. Overall the most forgettable of their albums imo.

Tim’s Voice 😍 Tim’s Voice 😍

This is gonna sound ridiculous to some of you but the first time I heard Pearl Jam, I was 17 (?). I fell in love with Eddie Vedder’s voice. I can’t even explain the immense joy I felt whenever I heard him sing. Still do! In all these years, no one has given me that same feeling.

But then, my kid introduced me to Rise Against via Hero of War. I think it came on a random Daily Mix on Spotify. What an amazing song and Tim’s voice, wow! Next, I heard Savior. Then late June of this year, I started my deep dive down the RA rabbit hole. I’m hooked! I would now place this band in my top 5 favorite! I’ve discovered so much new punk bands since too.

This seems so silly considering I’m a 50 yo woman but it’s all so true. I do not feel like my age and discovering all this new to me music (beyond my love of grunge) makes me literally feel alive. I’ll stop my rant now. 😁
