Super Bowl party has been canceled.

No tide pods? Amateurs

[–]The-Exotic-Beast 15 points16 points  (68 children)

What’s up with employees supposed to be on the lookout for tide pods? We’ve been told to look for this at our store too

[–]Impossible_Lawyer_75 19 points20 points  (64 children)

They’re expensive and essential so they’re a common stolen item.

[–]0bbie 1 point2 points  (9 children)

but why not use a different detergent option ?

[–]Admirable_Loss4886 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re often stolen and sold on the streets. It’s easier to sell the pods because liquid soap can be watered down so people are less likely to buy it. You can’t really tamper with a tide pod without breaking it. That’s my guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

[–]Impossible_Lawyer_75 1 point2 points  (5 children)

I don’t really know but I think it’s convenience. Tides pods are the lightest detergent option.

[–]Effective-Music3218 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Less mess, less thinking, more efficient, no waste beside the REUSABLE tub haha

EDIT: more time and thought efficient

Apologetically, another tide pod user 🤘🏼

[–]tinygod-aka-why 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Professianal shoplifters aka boosters tend to target goods like soap, laundry stuff, alcohol due to street price. if you were to steal a tool set it would be worth a lot less then sticker price but tide/soap wouldn't

[–]WordsMort47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything goes for 50% off on the street

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're stolen a lot, probably to be sold individually at the flea market

[–]Minimum_Crazy_4624 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Oh this is daily, multiple times a day probably. We have self check out so…😅

[–]Jay105 99 points100 points  (24 children)

You have security? All we have are crackheads who want to stab us

Idk about the /s. I had coworkers who did cocaine in the break room. Some of them have moved high up at Aldi and some still sucked at their job despite being high AF on an upper lol.

Anybody else notice this bot more frequently responds to people who put a /s in the middle of their post because they were referring to the other person who actually put it at the end? And almost never responds to the person who made the joke and placed it on the end of the message?

Case in point. The bot still hasn’t responded to that actual joke post.

We have security in our store 1-8 everyday. Ours showed up around Thanksgiving or Christmas time. We aren't in a dangerous area, (in my opinion), we are a new store with lots of homeless around and we have a major highway (I-70) connector just down the street.

        [–]Jaydded 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I thought the same thing. What security is op talking about? I mean, sure there's cameras, but that's mostly for effect and spying on employees. There's no AP watching them or anything. No AP creepers either like Walmart has. So by "security" do you mean an associate?

        [–]lpfreek2169 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where I live the stores in the more poverty stricken areas have Security officers in store. One of the stores has had security officers for as long as I remember (I'm 38 this particular location opened when I was like 5 or 6). The other locations in the better parts of town do not have security officers.

        [–]vivi13579 21 points22 points  (14 children)

We had someone trying to steal a full shopping cart recently as well (as in loaded to the top). Luckily my coworker caught them. Security has been in our store a lot more since then lol

        [–]Cold_Dog_1224 20 points21 points  (2 children)

i wouldn't under any circumstance actually attempt to stop a shop lifter. no way i'm putting myself in danger for a company's bottom line

        [–]send_cat_pictures 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Seriously. Take note of people like this and report it to security or higher ups. Don't put yourself in the way of danger, you don't know how someone will respond. Not worth getting shot or stabbed for ANY company.

        [–]Cold_Dog_1224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

exactly, i might think a person is being a real jerk for the theft but at the end of the day I don't actually give two shits and probably wouldn't even if I owned the place. I'd report that shit to folks who get paid to get stabbed

        [–]_HoneyBea_ -1 points0 points  (9 children)

Virtually no one who can afford food steals food especially from fucking ALDIs and it’s sad that you’re bragging about it.

At the end of the day you mean little to nothing to your manager and literally nothing to the corporation as a whole but yippee the billion dollar business got to keep the food. I have no way of knowing what you did with but anything fresh was likely tossed out.

Ps if you ever see anyone stealing formula/ baby food mind your fucking business

        [–]vivi13579 2 points3 points  (6 children)

You know nothing about the situation. Lmao. Stealing a whole cartful is never acceptable. Most people who are poor don’t steal. So get off your high and mighty Robin Hood horse. Who do you think you are? I just vented about a situation and you tell me that I’m a bad person for not liking people who steal? I’m not a snitch but I hope your manager learns about your opinions on stealing rather sooner than later. I don’t want to know how much stuff goes missing during your shifts.

I have a good manager and he is a reasonable person. So stop making weird and uncalled for assumptions.

Ps: the cart was full of stuff that definitely aren’t essentials. At lest it would be new information for me that you eat chips, alcohol and chocolates to stop being hungry.

People like you really annoy me.

        [–]_HoneyBea_ 0 points1 point  (4 children)

        Womp womp

At the end of the day your manager is not your friend. They can and will fire you when necessary without warning and potentially getting yourself killed over groceries is hilariously delusional. Talk about Robin Hood complex like you and your friend don’t have a bootlicking savior complex. Keep sticking your neck out for rich people they’ve done so much for you.

Also YES poor people steal all the fucking time what are you talking about. Homeless people will literally steal for the sole purpose of going to prison because they are so fucking poor it’s the only way they can have shelter and food. Most people don’t go after poor people who steal because A it’s horrible and B you have nothing to gain from it BECAUSE THEY ARE POOR.

I don’t give a fuck what was in the cart at the end of the day I’m not sacrificing my safety to a job where I am easily replaceable.

        [–]Majestic-Peace-3037 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Oh my fucking god get over your fucking self, Jesus fucking Christ, you act like people working a job are going to be just a okay and fine and dandy risking that job for your shitty ass to fucking steal.

I need my job. People who steal impede my job. Part of my job is to at least report what I saw for inventory reasons. YOU might be ok and have Mommy or Daddy's money to fall back on if you ever got fired but some of us don't have any sort of safety net and need our jobs.

Stealing is wrong. Stop trying to pretend it isn't and just admit you have a problem. Kleptomania is a legit condition, but so is just being a piece of shit.

I was homeless for years and did not steal. I went to food banks. Like a normal law abiding person.

        [–]ThrowAway19822000 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Well fucking good for you you filthy Mudblood. Not everyone is as lucky as you were to have gotten by without stealing. You act like people who steal are the lowest of the low when the whole fucking time you're being screwed too

You should get off of your fucking high horse you call employment and stop pointing that nose up so high towards the sky cuz one day it's gonna rain and you might just drown from those nostrils the size of your ego filling with gods piss

You and your ilk make me sick. If you see someone stealing food no you didn't. Or someone stealing baby formula. If they didn't make the prices too high you would be out of a job so thank your superiors for going along with it just so you can have job security and fuck someone else's food intake. It might be your job to stop them but what isn't your job to do is judge someone for just trying to eat

        [–]Majestic-Peace-3037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

...you're seriously calling being employed a high horse?

        What a joke.

Mudblood? Are you under 12? Are you a child? Just call me a cunt like a real adult and move on.

Stealing is wrong, plain and simple. If you've done it to "get by" that's fine but stealing just to steal is ridiculous.

If I see someone stealing a few cans of formula, I write it off as damaged goods and just say that unit arrived open and was destroyed.

If I see someone stealing several cans, up to a dozen, that's not "need" that's just  "greed" and possible scalping about to happen later when this asshole tries to resell it on the street at a higher price to make some cash. Unfair to mothers and babies who might really need it. That person is getting arrested and reported.

You need to pull your head out of whatever pretend fairy land you've got it in and face the real world. Not everything is Black and White.

        [–]_HoneyBea_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From digging on your profile I see you’re from Germany. I don’t know anything about life in Germany but living in America is a capitalist nightmare where people can barely afford rent. I’m pretty certain working in Germany is better and they pay you enough to exist.

I also don’t know how many homeless people / poor people you truly interact with but I live in a very large city in America and see people freezing on the streets every day walking to class. My statement still stands but mostly for America.

        [–]AgileYogurtcloset579 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So quick to type a response…. Seems a bit too eager. I agree. I also agree that those items weren’t out of necessity but I don’t agree that “most people who are poor don’t steal” ( don’t make assumptions, right?) I also agree that you care way too much about one persons response lol.

        [–]YoshimiUnicorns -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Jobs are a dime a dozen, they're just not all glamorous, and food stamps are piss easy to get.

        [–]_HoneyBea_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s not even true in the slightest

        [–]PutOurAnusesTogether -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you get out of defending a multi billion dollar corporation’s bottom line? Like seriously

        [–]unknownturtle3690 19 points20 points  (6 children)

Look if someone is stealing bread, or baby stuff etc, stuff needed for basic survival. Or even condoms, pads tampons. My eyes are closed.

BUT THIS?? Come on now. That's ridiculous

        [–]free420nft -1 points0 points  (5 children)

Based on your comment, I think we agree that stealing becomes somewhat ethical if done as a result of poverty and if done to attain what one should, in some sense, perhaps moral, perhaps legal, perhaps some other word, be entitled to as a human right. We can debate this exact interpretation all day, but I would like to posit " life, liberty, and happiness, " as the basis of those human rights, and so when issues of poverty put our working class in such a position as to have to commit crimes to achieve some level of existence, I am ultimately also fine with them stealing more than just "basic survival" type goods, let them at least eat cake or whatever.

        [–]Rip-Any 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        This ^

        [–]onebirdonawire -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Yeah, agreed - it's still food. Maybe they just wanted something really good to eat for once.

        [–]Raccoon-Cultural 16 points17 points  (2 children)

At least the took the good shit. Some lady stole inflatable pool toys from us lmao.

        [–]Zeyonce89[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

What 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve never heard of someone stealing a pool before I would have loved to watch that

        [–]Hunglow510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A little off-topic, but someone once stole my windshield wipers off my car, and when it was summertime, SMH

        [–]Astral_Atheist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You just ruined that man's BBQ 😂

        [–]Imaginary_Suspect_14 26 points27 points  (14 children)

Years ago, I was a bartender. We had a woman we called the "meat lady" who was lifting high dollar meats, then would go around to all the bars to sell half price for cash. She was raising all her very young grandkids by herself, making it difficult to work. She needed the cash for diapers, toiletries, and gas for the car. Desperate people do desperate things sometimes. 🤷‍♀️

        [–]Fanatica23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not excuse to shoplift though. I can see and understand her struggles but still.

        [–][deleted] -2 points-1 points  (12 children)

There’s food stamps, food kitchens for those with low income etc… the people who steal from us are NOT hurting. We caught a guy stealing once and he ran off into his Escalade 🥴

        [–]Strict_Rabbit3082 12 points13 points  (1 child)

        Steal from "us". 🤣🤣🤣🤣

        [–]onebirdonawire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        Right? 🙄

        [–]Overquoted 3 points4 points  (7 children)

I won't disagree that sometimes people that steal are not desperate. But, have you looked at the food stamp maximum? For one person in my state, it's $219. You could probably survive on that if you just ate beans and rice. Right up until malnutrition got you.

But the real problem is a lack of cash. You can't buy toilet paper, pads/tampons, razors, etc with SNAP. (And yeah, basic hygiene like men shaving their face, getting a basic haircut, etc are often necessary if you have a job.) You can't put gas in your car, pay rent, and so on. I'm not exactly so privileged that I can nab a well-paying job, but I stopped looking at jobs below $15/h years ago.

All that said, given all the security guards I know (three, none of whom knew each other before me), most theft is from shitty people.

        [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (6 children)

I’ve tried applying for food stamps since I live paycheck to paycheck essentially and I make too damn much according to my state. But the food stamp system is all kinds of f#cked. We have regulars who are driving BMW’s, with their eyebrows tattooed on, nails done nicely as well and they’re on food stamps and buying pure non essential bs with ebt cash. Not to mention the ppl I’m talking about don’t speak any English either.

        [–]Overquoted 8 points9 points  (4 children)

Dude, any system that people can create can also be gamed. There will always be assholes. But most people on SNAP need it. When I worked as a call center worker that answered Lifeline/Lite-Up Texas, I spoke to so many elderly people who only ate thanks to SNAP. Social Security payments can be shockingly low.

There was a period during my childhood that the only meals I got were free school lunches and whatever SNAP paid for. Not saying my mom couldn't have done better, but the cause of hunger doesn't matter when you're a kid, just that you're hungry.

Also, people that don't speak English and get SNAP are either here legally as immigrants, or they're committing fraud. And most illegal immigrants that have stolen identities aren't going to risk it by applying for a couple hundred dollars worth of SNAP benefits.

I say all this because it is easy to demonize the SNAP program. And, for some folks (especially conservatives), there's this idea that you are only poor because of bad choices. And if you made bad choices, then not only might you not deserve help, but you probably will make bad choices with the help given. So poor people on SNAP often have to continually prove they are "one of the good ones." Just about every discussion I've seen where someone says they don't get enough SNAP money to feed themselves is followed by an accusation of simply not spending it "right."

I have recently lived off about $250/month. Last month, partly because I was really sick and not eating, I probably spent $100 on food, non-food essentials and cat food. Let's just say, it isn't a good time.

        [–]vintagecheesewhore 3 points4 points  (3 children)

$14 SNAP here. Please let someone tell me how to SpEnD iT WiSeLy!!!1!

        [–]Overquoted -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Okay, so you go to Costco and buy just beans and rice. Oh, do you not have a Costco membership? Girl, you better get one!

And if you can scrounge up another $10ish, you can get a whole 25 pounds of dried beans. Now just divide those beans so you can cook one cup of beans per day for, well, almost two whole months!

See? Your problem is solved. Just get a Costco membership, find an extra $10 to buy some beans, and then you'll have roughly 250 calories per day. If you absolutely must, you could choose to simply have enough beans for a month, roughly 415 calories per day, but I suggest you simply make better choices.

        [–]Creative-Mongoose241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's almost like people can buy things and THEN become poor.

        [–]awseomenathan987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt most short lifters could afford an Escalade. If you’re at that point it’s simply not worth the risk.

        [–]JellyBelliesOnFyre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hard to know for sure. The majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. About 60% have credit card debt, a portion of which gets deeper every month out of necessity. Just because someone has made decisions that make them look rich, doesn't mean they are. Makes you think twice about the high end cars on the road.

Some people steal to steal, but I argue that for the majority, it's a reasonable response to their situation (poverty, lack of access to work, and corporate greed). I'm not condoning stealing (having been stolen from myself), but it helps to reframe it in a more understanding light.

At the end of the day, the vast majority of humans in the world just want to have their basic needs met.

        [–]16ap 18 points19 points  (20 children)

        Not a single vegetable… that’s sad

        [–]One_Word_Respoonse 7 points8 points  (5 children)

        Vegetables are cheap.

        [–]hihellohi37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meats have a high resale value. I get offered meat, as well as other items that are not edible, often at certain bus stops.

        [–]phillycknsand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Veges are cheap. What's the point

        [–]LedTasso 1 point2 points  (6 children)

Meat is more filling, healthier, and more nutritious than vegetables… If I’m to the point of stealing groceries then I would only steal meat too. Vegetables aren’t necessary. I eat them because I like the taste and texture, but would eat only meat if I had to choose one to steal.

        [–]16ap 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure. Healthier indeed. I’m sure your arteries will agree when you’re 45+ /s

        [–]radarneo 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Homie what? Humans are not carnivores, we’re omnivores. There are plenty of micronutrients that you need from vegetables… and vitamin supplements are not supposed to replace that. I know you do eat vegetables because they taste good, but if you DID cut them out you’d be in for a lot of bloating and constipation due to lack of fiber, plus nutrient deficiencies (folate, calcium, vitamin c…) could land you with a host of health issues. Do some poking around Google and it’s pretty readily available info

        [–]Sensitive-Bid9905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meat last longer and can feed more people.

        [–]glitterfaust 3 points4 points  (3 children)

And now (never worked at Aldi but other grocery stores) since we’re not sure how long it’s been out of temp, we have to defect it all and now no one gets it :))))

        [–]alttrapacc -1 points0 points  (1 child)

if that was the case i wouldnt bother saying anything, if its the trash or that persons house i know what id choose.

        [–]Foxhound922 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Happens 5 times a day at my store lol

        [–]BartholomewDegryse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        That you know about

        [–]Fanatica23 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Are you all allowed to do anything about it? I've wondered who watches self checkout to ensure every item is being scanned

        [–]Foxhound922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing we can do is tell them to stop or stand by the door. We also have a security guard but they're useless, as they are bound by the same rules. We usually don't get involved because people have pulled out knives, a hatchet, threatened to shoot etc. I'm not getting stabbed over some steaks and shrimp lol

        [–]ExchangeIcy1157 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We don’t have security people. Only video cameras that they can rewind. I don’t think are SM has ever called the police

        [–]mandee024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dang that’s cheap. Would’ve been like $250 in other stores.

        [–]YipYip-Appa 2 points3 points  (3 children)

You don’t get paid enough to stop shoplifters 🤷🏽‍♂️

        [–]TragicxPeach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk why but my first thought is they were gonna try and sell valentines plates on facebook lol I'm always seeing people trying to sell plates of food and idk why but its just giving that vibe

        [–]areaunknown_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to be a little dumb to attempt to walk out with over 150 bucks of meat

        [–]raceassistman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn. Thats like 20+ meals right there. Thats honestly not bad for 173 dollars nowadays.

        [–]ONUSTAR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An old lady, easily mid 70s-early 80s, took the sticker off a pack of split chicken breast (one of the cheapest meat items per pound) and stuck it over her sirloin chuck roast sticker.

My manager just walked up while she was at the checkout, took the sticker off in front of her, said “I saw you do that, please don’t do that again” and let her be on her way. Wonder how many times she’s gotten away with that one

        [–]SledgeLaud 2 points3 points  (2 children)

If I see someone stealing food, I didn't see shit.

        [–]Zeyonce89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        🤣🤣🤣🤦🏾‍♀️

        [–]scamanthaxnod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same and tbh if i see anyone steal quite literally anything from a big corp i still didn’t see shit lmao

        [–]Equivalent-Exit85 1 point2 points  (6 children)

We have people buy items from another store that is close then come in and take meat off our shelf that is close in price and try to return that meat. Like we won't notice that the prices are different???

        [–]BlondeNamedMegan 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Wait, can you explain this? They try to return which meat?

        [–]Equivalent-Exit85 1 point2 points  (4 children)

They bring the receipt from store A and grab meat off our shelves and bring it to the register and try to return it.

        [–]hey_its_me_christina 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Where was all of that hidden? 🤨 and does it get returned to the shelves to be sold?

        [–]Zquinkd 1 point2 points  (2 children)

I used to know a schizophrenic gentleman who'd steal steaks and seafood and peddle it to people in the trailer Park like Ricky

        [–]iMeretrix 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Jesus, US Aldis are much more expensive than the ones I know if that was 173

        [–]hoping_to_cease 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Idk where you live, but $173 for all the meat is very cheap in the US lol! That would easily be $300 at Walmart or Target!

        [–]iMeretrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One benefit of the now-most expensive country to live in in Europe... Ireland 😂 Housing crisis is out of control but hey at least our Aldi is still cheap!

        [–]DangerousQuiet7626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        The Surf and turf thief

        [–]HelloMikkii 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Wait like they just tried to walk out with the trolley full or they stuffed their clothing with this.

        [–]Suspicious_Yams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the hell are those German style brats? Bratwursts look completely different and are a finely ground sausages.

I mean, if you're gonna go for it, swing for the fences. That's a delicious looking cart.

        [–]jaynakpatriot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only $173? Damn I need to start shopping at Aldi LOL

        [–]Any_Jacket9925 1 point2 points  (1 child)

i’ve worked in a grocery store before and i would never stop someone from stealing food. nonessential items, maybe. but food? never. if someone is in a place where they need to steal food, i care far more about them than a company’s profit margin. when i was a cashier in college i would only scan like half the order if i noticed the customer was using food stamps or buying items like diapers and formula.

This happened when I was working at Walmart happened to be around $400 worth of meat products

        [–]MadameLucario 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Fucking same! I still remember the situation to this day.

I had gone to the restroom a little after I got back from my lunch break because unfortunately I needed to go use it to change out my feminine product. Well... I couldn't change out anything because something in the restroom immediately caught my attention.

There was a shopping cart placed in the Handicap stall of the women's restroom. I could hear that this person was obviously rummaging through a bag of some kind followed by the sound of stuffing something in said bag. I immediately tip-toe out the bathroom and ask the associate that I saw outside organizing the Q-tips and other products in that section if she saw someone coming into the bathroom to which she replied "she had just gotten there" and I tell her to stay by the bathroom because I suspect someone is stealing.

I took did a mad dash for the security office, started frantically banging on the door to get the assistant manager's attention. I scared the absolute shit out of the manager and the two other workers that were in the room. One of said workers rushes to open the door and I immediately tell the manager to come quickly with me to the bathroom because of what I thought I saw and heard. We take off running back to the bathroom. I was surprised my assistant manager could run in the heels she was wearing but we made it over there. I observed from the sidelines for a little bit, but my manager motioned me to leave and go back to my department while she settled things. I used to work in the OGP department for Walmart (specifically for a Neighborhood Market Walmart) so it was located only a few feet away from the bathroom.

20 minutes go by, the manager I called to the scene comes over to my department to tell me that thanks to me having to use the bathroom right after my lunch break... I saved them $600 worth of meat from being stolen. The manager gave the woman behind the ordeal two options. Either she drops everything from the bag and leaves the cart behind, exiting the building, or that she remain and the police would be called to escort her. The woman as lucky to be given the option to leave without law enforcement being involved. I was honestly astounded that I managed to avoid such an ordeal because it was absolute insanity. This happened back in 2020 and it still amazes me that this even happened.

Really?? We had to know you had your period for this long story?? TMI!

        [–]LatinJackal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

        Motherfucker, it's a period.

Homie wasn't having a fap session in the bathroom. I'd say almost every motherfucker with a uterus and woman gets these. People get told about this in sex ed. It's not TMI if it gets taught in schools.

Touch grass and get over yourself. Y'all treating a period like it's a taboo thing.

        [–]a5ab0v350b3l0w 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I used to fill up a whole Aldi bag or two the big plastic ones and walk right out the front door without paying. Sorry guys.

        [–]fuckspinelly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not a local family business. Apologize to no one

        [–]iwantamalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don’t get paid enough to care about shoplifting! retail employees need to stop acting like cops, literally who cares. $17/hr is not enough to be a grocery store worker AND a store cop.

        [–]deadlyd03 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

        Let em keep it 🤣

        [–]jahkmorn 0 points1 point  (1 child)

        How did yall stop him?

        [–]Zeyonce89[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our security caught him he said he was watching him.

        [–]Maximum_Secretary_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the Stop n Shop where I work, mfs be stacking carts to the fucking top with meat and/or booze and try bolting out the door, a few of em have made it out that I've seen and we can't do shit because we might be liable for stupid shit like them getting into an accident or hurt if we touch em

        [–]Ok_Mail50 0 points1 point  (1 child)

literally should have just let them have it. probably gonna throw it in the trash now anyways lmao makes no sense

        [–]Zeyonce89[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would it get tossed? It never left the store so it’s going back on the shelves

        [–]Odd_Initial960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I had to stop a guy trying to steal a plasma tv by dragging it out the entry 😂😂

Ooooo what Aldi has raw shrimp

🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ idk what they we’re thinking. The price of groceries has gone up so much I wouldn’t fault anyone for stealing food. But I feel like they need to be a bit more sneaky about it 😬

I could genuinely care less if someone tried to steal FOOD. they probably needed it.

        [–]Acrobatic-Ad3010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing this wasn’t California or they would been allowed to steal it with no consequences

        [–]JacSLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an employee (this just popped up) but I remember being in Aldi’s with me family when the alarmed sounded because someone tried to steal a whole cart of food, stacked to the brim by just casually walking to the door. I don’t know how they thought that would work.

        [–]dumbusernameistaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did they try? Just run out with it or??

        [–]SadieAndFinnie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of that was only $173?! I need to start driving to my closest Aldi for groceries on a regular basis.
