The Homebridge team is pleased to announce the release of the official Homebridge Raspberry Pi Image.

Key Features

The Homebridge service is installed using the method described in the Raspberry Pi Installation Guide on the Homebridge wiki. This means whether you decide to install Homebridge manually or use this image you'll have plenty of support from the friendly Homebridge community if you need it.

The project has a well documented wiki with step-by-step instructions explaining how to do things like setting a static IP address, setting up multiple instances of Homebridge, or connecting via SSH.

Security and Privacy

We understand users may have concerns running a 3rd party image. To help alleviate those concerns the Homebridge Raspbian Image is open source and each image is built from scratch using the public GitHub Action runners. The build logs for each release are publicly available on the project's GitHub Actions page and every release contains a SHA-256 checksum of the image you can use to verify the integrity of your download. Hi there. I started our smart home with devices that work with Alexa and didn't think to play it safe and make sure they're also compatible with Apple HomeKit. With Alexa becoming weirder und unresponsive recently, I bought a HomePod mini to see if the grass is greener on the Apple side.

So I just installed homebridge on my Synology NAS and added it to my Home App. In the app it shows up under Home Hubs and Bridges.

In homebridge I installed several plugins (TP-Link Tapo, Sengled, Smartthings, Xiami//Roborock). So far so good.

Would my devices such as plugs and light bulbs automatically show up in homebridge and Home app or do I have to pair them manually like I did when I first installed them?
