Did it also break the Reddit game thread comment record? I’ve never seen so many comments on a game thread to the point that it wasn’t working lol

Edit: Seems like it. It passed the Super Bowl 51 Game Thread (Patriots vs Falcons) which had 91k.

[–] ChiefsDesperate_Badger_184 269 points270 points  (67 children)

Lol that’s what I am wondering. That was crazy

[–] Patriotsapocalypsemeow111 353 points354 points  (66 children)

Yeah, and only like 60% of the comments were screaming about how the NFL is rigged.

[–]Motor-Grade-837 186 points187 points  (41 children)

Every year I hear some people talk about how they aren't going to watch anymore because it's clearly rigged and every year the viewership goes up. Just heard from a co-worker about how nobody is going to be interested in this Super Bowl, which just means it'll break records.

[–] Chiefs LionsFoul_Imprecations 125 points126 points  (18 children)

Yeah, they're all liars. Or, for every nut job who does refuse to watch because "the game is rigged", there are 1000 Americans who will tune in because the SB is a cultural event that consumes the nation every year to the point its a de facto holiday.

[–] Chiefsfugaziozbourne 66 points67 points  (4 children)

All these people saying that they won't watch anymore because of Taylor Swift also said they wouldn't watch anymore because of Colin Kaepernick.

[–] RamsOverall_Nuggie_876 25 points26 points  (1 child)

All these men saying they won’t watch the Super Bowl because of Taylor Swift will still watch it because their wives and teen daughters will watch Taylor Swift.

[–] Packersreaganz921 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but let's not pretend the NFL didn't bend over backwards to try to appease those very people to get them to stay. There were significant efforts and changes made to get the players to cooperate with the NFL on the whole kneeling thing

[–] NFLMoroDaEater 21 points22 points  (1 child)

Households across the country literally just have it on in the background of a party they're getting hammered at

[–] Cowboysjaxonya 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Amen

[–] BearsCivil-Big-754 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe even 10,000.

[–] SteelersDo__Math__Not__Meth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t like the matchup but I’m still gonna watch, because it’s still the Super Bowl

[–] NFLtimbulance 10 points11 points  (2 children)

Everyone watches the super bowl regardless

[–] Cowboysjaxonya 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Ur mom watches the Superbowl

[–] Patriots Patriotsgreenyquinn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your grandmother knows who Tom Brady is.

[–] Seahawks Lions BandwagonStockpile_Tom_Remake 7 points8 points  (5 children)

I only know one person in real life who said they wouldn’t watch football anymore and kept up on it. It’s been almost ten years. I’m impressed as fuck

[–] Giantsthrowaway_5256 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People on this sub are like "well this is boring" as if a heavyweight rematch between the two of the consistently best teams of the last 5 years is somehow uninteresting. This is how it felt when the Cowboys-9ers or Celtics-Lakers played all the time and every analyst and historian waxes endlessly about how great it was, yeah maybe it's predictable but why be mad that the two unquestionably best teams are playing for the biggest prize?

[–] Falcons Falconsitskapnoc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I told myself I wasn’t and a day later I was like “I’m excited to see what happens in the SB”.

Moral of the story: we’re all full of shit sometimes

[–] Cowboysjaxonya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well this year the swifties are tuning in

[–] Vikings jfchops2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just like every election we hear half the country say they're moving to Canada if their guy loses and nobody ever does. Empty words.

[–] PackersSupernova_Soldier 3 points4 points  (1 child)

This SB is easily going to break records, all because of Taylor Swift.

[–] Eaglespruneden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this Super Bowl ends up being one of the most viewed sporting events of the decade because of that alone

[–] Vikings BillsBigrick1550 4 points5 points  (2 children)

That and.. the population increases every year. It would be weird not to be constantly setting new viewership records. There are simply more people to watch every year.

[–] Seahawks Lions BandwagonStockpile_Tom_Remake 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Population growth has slowed a lot though.

[–] EaglesDeciver95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still going of the high of all the racists that insisted the nfl would die amd desperately followed the viewership numbers back in the mid 2010s

[–] Cowboysboosted5O 9 points10 points  (7 children)

Probably a new low because of how bad the ravens offense played

[–] JaguarsCwgoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell....I am all about defense so I loved it

[–]daksjeoensl 5 points6 points  (5 children)

They finally faced a defense that was as good as their own.

[–] Chiefshyphenjack 50 points51 points  (0 children)

A new low!

[–]BillsTheoryOfPizza 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was just screaming about the Ravens not running the ball

[–] Chiefs ChiefsSHOWTIME316 11 points12 points  (0 children)

that's progress!

[–]Shiddy_Wiki -5 points-4 points  (9 children)

should we discuss this one first? Or the infamous 5th down last year?

“This video is unavailable”

Pretty much exactly what I’d expect from someone like you.

[–] Bears 49ers BandwagonColey54Bear 56 points57 points  (3 children)

That was chaos, try to refresh and the comments showing were from 5+ minutes prior.

[–] SaintsBama011 9 points10 points  (1 child)

/r/cfb apparently figured out years ago that major games need to be broken up into separate 1st half and 2nd half threads. Not sure why this sub doesn't do that.

[–] Chiefs LionsKeegoTheWise 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it does for the super bowl

[–] PatriotsStumpe999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought reddits new update was fucking up again lol

[–] Chiefs ChiefsCthepo 20 points21 points  (3 children)

It actually used to be a lot more common for big games. Reddit must have done something to handle that better a while back.

[–] Chiefsuwanmirrondarrah 11 points12 points  (2 children)

I know people are saying Chiefs threads, but in my experience literally every game thread on here is people acting like its rigged... usually for both teams, depending on who benefited from the most recent call

[–] EaglesSchleprok 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Refs have to be perfect. If they miss one call, it’s rigged and they deserve to be fired

[–] RavensNefariousness1- 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Between people hate watching the Chiefs and hate watching Lamar, that’s not surprising.

[–] 49ersnotabear629 5 points6 points  (0 children)

[–]nonresponsive 4 points5 points  (1 child)

It was funny watching the comments have a 4-minute delay.

I can't remember if it was during the fumble or the interception. Because all I remember was people screaming about the long pass, but by the time those comments happened the fumble/interception had already happened. Was hilarious.

[–]NoMoneyNoTears 2 points3 points  (1 child)

How many comments were there?

[–] Chiefsnine3cubed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

98.4k

[–] RavensBaasheX 692 points693 points  (35 children)

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to all those 55 million people about that abortion of a game plan.

[–] Steelers Steelersunseth 250 points251 points  (9 children)

I thought it went great tbh

[–] PatriotsTaaargus 22 points23 points  (6 children)

Honest question - who did you root for in the various ravens/Pats playoff games in years past? I get why you'd root for the chiefs over the ravens but I feel like a Steelers fan would have a harder time rooting for the Pats.

[–] Steelerscablecord38 28 points29 points  (2 children)

The only time I personally ever pulled for Baltimore was the 2012 Superbowl cause it kept the 49ers from tying us. This year if they made it I would've gone for the 49ers though since the Pats already tied it.

[–] SteelersDefinitelyLevi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Damn, I wanted to keep the super bowl record, but no way in hell was i pulling for the Ravens to win that year

[–] SteelersGhoullyX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The meteor of course.

[–] Steelers Steelersunseth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah never the Ravens. Thankfully the pats usually won except for that fluke game where Flacco was 4/10 34yds 0td 1int and the Ravens won.

But I mean the pats beat everyone so it was easy to have them just win another.

[–] Brownsbuy_some_winrar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

right? i really hope to see Baltimore replicate this game plan in the coming seasons

[–] TitansbaitXtheXnoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same

[–] SteelersToothPickLegs 37 points38 points  (1 child)

No no, keep doing the gameplan of “you know what we’re really good at? Running! You know what we aren’t gonna do? Run!”

[–] Bearsfumar 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You know what our opponent is good at? Pass D. So we're going to pass a ton

[–] ChiefsInternationalEast738 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Happy to see Baltimore show their support for women's rights.

[–] BengalsTomatoes65 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I thought you guys put together an awesome game plan

[–] BengalskidAlien1 43 points44 points  (2 children)

No apologies necessary. I for one enjoyed watching Lamar "primetime Dalton" Jackson.

[–] Lions Ramsgibbon_dejarlais 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Lamar is the thinking man's Andy Dalton, after all. He reminds me of a young Steve DeBerg at times.

[–]Medical_Young 2 points3 points  (0 children)

he imitated the greats and not losers who run like baker mayfield

[–] ChiefsDesperate_Badger_184 136 points137 points  (3 children)

We forgive you

[–] Buccaneers Fiendish-DoctorWu 56 points57 points  (2 children)

[–] Broncoschingy1337 17 points18 points  (1 child)

[–] ChiefsLagOutLoud 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Back on the forgiveness thing over here.

[–] Chiefsgeneralscalez 46 points47 points  (0 children)

no worries ❤️

[–] PanthersZeohawk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So the gameplan should've been pro life?

[–] Ravensleadfarmer154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was pretty good plan pass the ball and let Kelce beat us

What did you want the Ravens to do, run and double Kelce?

[–] BengalsDerSchattenJager -2 points-1 points  (7 children)

You were the chosen one!

[–] ChiefsBeneathaclearbluesky 35 points36 points  (6 children)

[–] ChargersContext-clue 26 points27 points  (3 children)

[–] Chiefsmprhusker 26 points27 points  (1 child)

[–] Bears BengalsLord-Aizens-Chicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–] Bears BengalsLord-Aizens-Chicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]Fufeysfdmd 272 points273 points  (26 children)

The 49ers-Lions game was more entertaining. Watching the Lions come roaring out in the first half only for the 49ers to make a huge come back in the second half.

It was better than watching the Ravens choke. I'm not even a Ravens fan. I just wanted it to be a high scoring game that stayed competitive to the end. Instead it was just sad.

[–]LionsDragondrew99 73 points74 points  (3 children)

I had fun in the first half

[–] 49ersMaverick916 56 points57 points  (2 children)

Well y'all had us in the first half

Not gonna lie

[–] LionsEngrish_Major 18 points19 points  (1 child)

Goddammit lol

[–]LionsDragondrew99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s a slam dunk, unlike our catching. We only catch strays.

[–]Strict-Extension 73 points74 points  (3 children)

Two top scoring defenses, what did people expect?

[–]Fantastic-Contract28 76 points77 points  (2 children)

IDK, Lamar to actually run the ball would have helped though.

[–]Actually-Yo-Momma 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Even at the end i was like, yisssss Lamar can easily run this one for a first down. Then he proceeds to throw a dog shit pass to no one and all of a sudden it’s 4th down and the game is on the line

[–] Chiefs JetsWhy_am_ialive 23 points24 points  (4 children)

Yeah but a ton of international fans (me included) would have skipped that one cause of the time zones, plus ravens chiefs was meant to be a great game and everyone wanted to see the chiefs lose.

But yeah lions niners was clearly the more exciting game for the neutral fan

[–] ChiefsVis-hoka 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I wanted to see the chiefs win. There are dozens of us! Dozens!

[–] ChiefsAJRiddle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm 99% sure these viewership numbers are only including American viewers.

[–] Seahawksactual_griffin 9 points10 points  (6 children)

The NFC Championship was a way better game. However, there was someone missing.

[–]daksjeoensl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The AFC championship was a good game too if you liked defense.

[–]jimjamiam 1 point2 points  (1 child)

So sad. So so so so so sad.

[–] Chiefsthemiddleshoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lions choked away their lead. Ravens didn’t choke, they were losing the entire game. They just got beat by a better team that day.

[–] VikingsJD_SLICK 42 points43 points  (2 children)

I was curious about how exactly ratings are measured given there are 34 different ways to watch an NFL game... this is moderately helpful: https://entertainment.howstuffworks.com/question433.htm

but not a complete picture

[–] Giantsfork_yuu 6 points7 points  (1 child)

It never was the full picture anyways it just accounted for people that wanted to be part of Nielson studies. They never really were able to keep up with the tech

[–] Lionsbyniri_returns 150 points151 points  (51 children)

Football is king

[–] Chiefsbstyledevi 160 points161 points  (30 children)

If you go look at the most viewed TV broadcasts of all time, the top 10 go like this:

1 - The moon landing

2-9 - Super Bowls

10 - Nixon's Resignation

EDIT: Note that this list is just US broadcasts, not worldwide.

[–] ChargersLeBremsstrahlung 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Moon landing is the Super Bowl’s father

[–] 49ersMaverick916 44 points45 points  (4 children)

I think MASH or Seinfeld finales are up there too

[–] Bearsbears2267 32 points33 points  (3 children)

MASH finale is 13 after 2 more Super Bowls. The only other non Super Bowls in the US top 30 are the Roots finale (t-17), a movie called The Day After (t-17), the OJ police chase (22), and the Ali-Spinks II fight (29)

[–] BearsTaischiCFM 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Oof - The Day After was an event. It was unsettling for a lot of kids (and adults).

[–] Chiefsfatbuckinrastard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

us GenXers still have PTSD from it.

[–] ColtsSpaceCaboose 19 points20 points  (21 children)

That must just be in the US. I remember hearing that the 2022 World Cup Final had like 1.5 Billion viewers…

[–] Patriotsbeseri 17 points18 points  (11 children)

In terms of viewership soccer blows football out the water, which is a pity. I have tried to get my friends to get into the NFL, but the commercial break is always the big issue. At least here in my part of Europe, people just cannot stand the amounts of commercials.

[–] ColtsSpaceCaboose 11 points12 points  (8 children)

I’m American and love both football and “soccer”, but the viewing experience of soccer is so much better.

The game starts and ends within 2 hours, and you get a solid 100 minutes of action with only one stoppage (halftime).

With the NFL, the game takes a little over 3 hours, but there’s only about 15-20 minutes of actual action. The rest of the 3 hours are ads and waiting for the ball to be snapped.

The NFL does have some amazing plays and stuff that happens, which is why it’s so popular and fun to watch, but it just takes a long time with sooo many ads

[–] Giants Lions BandwagonNightFire45 4 points5 points  (3 children)

The USA likes to dunk on soccer but America's Game baseball and the biggest draw NFL are both slow as fuck but that's a advertisers wet dream so it gets pushed big time by TV networks.

[–] Chiefsiamhurter 2 points3 points  (2 children)

eh i think the opposite, watching soccer is just seeing dudes constantly sprint back n forth on the field to just not score or flop when someone breathes on them funny. at least with the nba they actually score 90% of the time they take it to net.

[–] ColtsSpaceCaboose 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Plenty of flopping in the NBA too.

I think less scoring makes it more exciting. Each goal has so much more weight because it’s much harder to score. So when someone scores it’s actually a big deal. There’s so much effort and work that goes into soccer, even in 0-0 or 1-1 games, but on the surface folks don’t see that. I’d much rather watch a 0-0 soccer game than a ~7-3 football game.

There are so many points in the NBA that it’s not really fun to watch until the final couple of minutes of the game.

It obviously all comes down to taste, and not everyone will like every sport, which is fine. Soccer being the worlds biggest/most popular sport certainly isn’t a fluke though (doesn’t mean everyone has to like it)

[–]justinkredabul -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

The entire soccer match is a commercial break. Literally the most boring sport to ever watch.

[–]Maleficent_Resolve44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is the whole match a commercial break? The ball is in play and the screen is showing the pitch and not an advert.

[–] RaidersPleezMakeItHomeSafe 11 points12 points  (1 child)

CL finals and I think even El Clasico beats out the Super Bowl

[–] ColtsSpaceCaboose 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yep

CL viewership: Around 400 million

Super Bowl: Around 115 million

[–] 49ers BengalsWild-Apricot-9161 35 points36 points  (5 children)

Every World Cup final since the early 80s blows any SuperBowl out of the water

[–] JaguarsFeedbackContent8322 -4 points-3 points  (4 children)

Well one happens every 4 years its not really fair to compare

[–] ChiefsKara_Del_Rey 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think "one is a worldwide sport and 1 is a single country" would've been a better argument here lol

[–] 49ers BengalsWild-Apricot-9161 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Do moon landings and Nixon resignations happen every year?

[–]kd451 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Um, yes? Have you not been paying attention?

[–] ColtsSpaceCaboose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The most watched Super Bowl had 114.2 million viewers, which is just 7.6% of the World Cup. So even if you divide the World Cup number by 4 (to account for once every 4 years) then it still more than triples the Super Bowl…

So yeah, I guess it’s not fair to compare since the World Cup is just a mega-giant compared to the Super Bowl

To add to that, the Champions League (big European football competition) happens every year and its Final averages about 400 million. So also more than 3 times the Super Bowl…

[–] Chiefsbstyledevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I should have clarified that as just the US, but yes, you are correct.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most_watched_television_broadcasts_in_the_United_States

[–] Chiefs TankThaFrank_ 86 points87 points  (9 children)

Football is king and it’s not even close. The NFL had 19 of the top 20 most watched telecasts of 2023. I think the Oscar’s came in at 15.

[–] SeahawksRazorbackalpha 68 points69 points  (7 children)

They had 93 of the top 100

[–] Browns LionsJay_Dubbbs 35 points36 points  (6 children)

Every year now too. Its basically 90% NFL a couple of college games, maybe the college bball natty, the state of the union address and that’s about it lmao

[–] JetsSiphenPrax 9 points10 points  (5 children)

I guess election coverage on election night and the presidential debates will take up a few more spots this year

[–] Bearsandreasmiles23 11 points12 points  (2 children)

I strongly doubt that there is a debate…Trump won’t even debate Haley. I also don’t think there was a formal one in 2020?

[–] 49ersrepostusername 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Trump did the first one but then backed out

[–] Chiefspickleparty16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coverage is too split up

[–] Patriots PatriotsIllustrious_Cancel83 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Imagine there was only 1 sitcom.

It would make the NFL look like a niche.

[–]t_mac1 14 points15 points  (4 children)

It's one and done. Of course it's king.

[–] ColtsSockPenguin 9 points10 points  (1 child)

One and done playoffs plus the shortest regular season of any US pro sport. Every single NFL game is an event in a way that the Bulls and Grizzlies playing on a Wednesday night in January or 3 games between the Marlins and Padres in July simply never can be.

[–] Steelers BrownsMewtwoStruckBack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shit, imagine if all 3 of the other major sports only had 17 game seasons.

[–] Raidersdafaliraevz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

and always will be king. Let's assume the worst possible thing happened last year and Hamlin actually died. I guarantee we'd have still seen this amount of viewership anyway. Americans love our NFL.

[–] CowboysRonaldoooope -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

Lol in the US football is king*

[–] Lionsbyniri_returns 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A different kind of football is king everywhere else (mostly)

[–] CommandersTroll_Enthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly

[–] Ravenswhereegosdare84 209 points210 points  (17 children)

For those who are wondering last year’s Chiefs Bengals AFCCG drew 53.124 million viewers.

While this is clearly over 2 million more viewers I think it’s safe to say the idea that Taylor Swift is the reason for these record breaking numbers is a bit overblown.

[–]Due-Grab-4962 117 points118 points  (8 children)

Chiefs-Bengals was the primetime game last year tho, Chiefs-Ravens wasn't. The 3pm game from 2023 (49ers-Eagles) had 47.5M viewers, so this is an increase of almost 8M viewers compared to last year's early game.

In comparison, the NFC Championship game was the 2nd game of the day this year with 56M viewers, which is an increase of "only" 3M viewers (still big ofc) compared to last year's later game. So in terms of raw viewership growth in their respecting broadcasting windows, the Chiefs-Ravens 3pm game had the significantly better one.

[–] Chiefsthearmadillo 69 points70 points  (4 children)

I wonder how many people turned off Eagles-49ers after the first quarter

[–]bobcrap89 24 points25 points  (2 children)

This effect ratings a ton. The most watched games in a rating standpoint are always overtime games

[–] Vikings jfchops2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely because they can double dip the crowd watching that entire game plus the people who have tuned in to watch the next one?

[–] Ravenswhereegosdare84 17 points18 points  (1 child)

Ok so for an earlier game the Chiefs Bengals in the 2021 season (played in 2022) drew 47 million people in to start but then 60 million by the time it went to overtime.

I’m just saying the Chiefs are the draw, not Taylor Swift considering they’ve been bringing in viewers consistently.

[–]Due-Grab-4962 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That Bengals-Chiefs AFC Championship game had an average viewership of 47.9M. So yeah, the Chiefs have undeniably been a big ratings draw these past few years, but this year's 55M number is definitely an above-average result. Swift alone probably is not the reason for it, but add her presence & media attention to Mahomes being the face of the league right now and Kelce becoming a big name himself, and you have a perfect storm of why Chiefs games have become must-watch TV lately.

[–]KingJokic 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ravens are in a much bigger metropolitan statistical area than Cincinnati

[–] Chiefspickleparty16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry everyone, we're America's team

[–] Patriotsdcrico20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

49ers Packers was the largest one before this game and Swift wasn't involved at all. I think that her influence in drawing additional viewers, while certainly larger than zero, is overstated by a large margin.

[–]sof49er 63 points64 points  (7 children)

According to SMW, Lions-49ers was the most-watched television program — non-Super Bowl category — since the 49ers-New York Giants NFC title game in 2012 that drew 57.64 million viewers.

[–] Lions The_Outlaw_Star 42 points43 points  (6 children)

Lions and Chiefs would’ve broken the Super Bowl viewership record for sure.

[–] JetsSiphenPrax 8 points9 points  (2 children)

I think that game would have honestly gotten a far bigger this number than 49ers/Chiefs will.

That game will still do a huge number, but Lions/Chiefs would have been much bigger because of what would have been a stake. If THAT was the game, they would probably be in the moon landing range in terms of most view TV programs in American history

[–] Vikings jfchops2 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Thing I don't get is who exactly is deciding whether to watch the Super Bowl based on who is playing in it? Everyone with even an inkling of interest in football is watching no matter whose playing. Sure it might pull some non-fan Michigan people who want to see what the hype is about with the Lions but that won't be multiple million viewers, plus there's the offset with California people deciding not to watch since it isn't the 9ers.

[–] JetsSiphenPrax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It would be a classic David vs. Goliath storyline. Americans love themselves a good underdog story.

[–] ChiefsInternationalEast738 34 points35 points  (1 child)

Unsurprising. The chiefs are the new Pat's. Everyone wants to watch them lose or are fans. They have drawn a much bigger audience the past few seasons than their market would predict.

Makes me think all the fans threatening to boycott the superbowl are full of shit.

[–] ChiefsHammerInPortland 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Fuck you and I’ll see you tomorrow”

[–] ColtsAleroRatking 20 points21 points  (3 children)

[–] Bengalsnatej84 4 points5 points  (1 child)

[–] Cowboys Chiefs Bandwagonjimmyhoffasbrother 26 points27 points  (6 children)

imagine getting humiliated in front of 55 million people 😞

[–]Pineapple_Express762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you Taylor 😂

Ravens-Chiefs was boring as hell compared to Lions-49ers, that game was non stop thrill ride

[–]Leiatte 8 points9 points  (2 children)

Idk if we can say it was a non stop thrill ride when it looked like you guys were going to blow the doors off of the 49ers for half the game lol.

[–] Chiefsmethyo 12 points13 points  (1 child)

It was at least exciting because the first half was “holy shit are the Lions gonna pull off the upset and make it to the SB??” And the second half was “holy shit are the Lions gonna pull off the choke and miss the SB??”

[–]Leiatte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was still very exciting for the same reasons you said! Lions were playing a beautiful game & then that 49ers comeback too. I found both games exciting for different reasons though, I know the Ravens vs Chiefs game wasn’t high scoring but with it being a technically close game they never truly felt out of it & so that play with Zay & Sneed feels incredibly important.

Taylor Swift is great for the league

[–] ChiefsDiaryofTwain 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Its gotten a large part of the younger female demographic interested in football. Which is cool.

[–] PatriotsCaliforniaHurricane_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend and her sister who are huge Swifties are into football now lol

[–] ChiefsChickenBanditz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starting to think all those people saying they aren’t gonna watch the Chiefs are lying…

[–]Final_Pair8378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And it was a total bore!

[–]Bloody_Corndog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

50 million of which were hoping for a ravens win

[–] RamsBrokenArrows95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Everyone hates the chiefs but all the NFL sees is $$$

[–] BengalsImpossible-Try-9489 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NFL will thin its bc of Taylor Swift. In reality, most of the viewers wanted to see Lamar kick Chief's butt

[–]Shiddy_Wiki -1 points0 points  (0 children)

bad news for the 9ers.. better keep this one out of the judges - er - referees hands!

[–] Ravensquatre03 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally the Game of Thrones of football games.

[–] SteelersMrSweatyBawlz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All those viewers just for 3 total points scored in the 2nd half. What a disappointment

[–]Elegant-Yard463 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All those people saw the ravens get humiliated lol. That’s gotta hurt

[–]RamboMyers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol wow.. Imagine that... out of all the great games this one being the most watched is .. wow
