AMD Ryzen 5 5600X decent for a 3060ti?

Hello everyone,

I just recently started getting into PC building and could use some advice.

I was gifted a 3060ti and now I'm looking for a new cpu. Is the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (6x 3.7GHz 4.6GHz Turbo) a decent choice or would I run into any issues?

Thanks for your advice.

currently AMD Ryzen 5 5600 x is in discount from 309 USD in Amazon, is it a good price? or a fake discount.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X at **Rs. 27,000**

Hi everyone,

IT Gadgets Online (listed as MEK Peripherals on AMD's where to buy section) are selling the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X for Rs. 27,000.

Link: https://itgadgetsonline.com/shop/gaming-processors/amd-gaming-processor/amd-ryzen-5-5600x/

And, they do offer better pricing for other products too.

Also, since they're not charging high enough, I believe we should support them.

EDIT-1: Contact them at either WhatsApp or mobile number(s) mentioned. Ask to connect with Tanay Surana, and give them my reference (i.e. from Reddit via Alpha-Sniper) and you may get a great deal.

EDIT-2: They may update the price if they wish. But you may reach out to them and follow EDIT-1. They are willing to offer a better price if you seek from them.

Possible faulty AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

So a few weeks back I built my new PC with the 5600X and RTX 3070. The PC seemed fine after booting and updating bios, except from the fact that it ran HOT (using the Wraith). I was idling at 50-60 most the time, and in games like MW: Warzone and FarCry 5 I was hitting upto 95 degrees, but mostly around the 90-mark. Also my PC turned off by itself when starting MW for the first time, but when turning down the %-use of CPU to 70% it didnt shut itself off, so it could've been overheating - I don't really know.

But then all of a sudden when browsing on Chrome one day I get a glitchy look, almost like barcodes when hovering with my mouse pointer, and then the BSoD occured with the most common error: CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED and also 1 time I got DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. I tried everything I could to try and fix the BSoD. Went in Safe Mode to try and uninstall drivers and programs, and in Safe mode the PC was super slow, everything was lagging. Nothing worked and then I finally I reset windows, and still the BSoD appeared. My PC just blacked in the loading screen out after the BSoD where nothing happens.. Theres nothing wrong with the PSU since I currently use it in my current PC (my older build), and the GPU is fine, RAM is fine. Motherboard is about the only thing I can't check. So my question would be is my CPU faulty or could it be the motherboard? Due to the PC performance and the overheating etc, I feel like there might be something up with my specific CPU. I am about to send it in for service / complaint - but I thought I would see if anyone here could have a clue about what might be faulty. Thanks

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Temeprature Question

Hello today while playing Siege, there was some buzzing sound, sounded like a cooler, I checked the temperature and it was running around 90-92c.

I gave it a clean with alcohol and q tips, and im planning on cleaning it with compressed air once I buy.

After cleaning the minimal recorded temperature was 46c and when playing BFV its around 87c plus or minus. The temperature is fluctating between 46 and 50c when idle using the interent.

While playing Dishonored 2 it got to 80c when loading the game, levels, but while gaming it was around 70-75c

Tried Ghostwire Tokyo since it was a newer game and it probabl used more power. it was also around 70c to 75c spiking around 80c while loading the game.

I bought the compressed air and gave it the best I could, and now its around 41 to 45 idle and around 50c when in use.

Is that normal ? I had this computer since october, so i doubt that the thermal paste has worn out.

Plus this few days it was 25 degrees warm inside and outside

For some reason, my Amd ryzen 5 5600x is running at 95 degrees even though there are no programs running? What could it be?

Does anyone have any idea what that might be. The fan seems to be running as normal.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X vs AMD Ryzen 7 5800X for Streaming

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X vs AMD Ryzen 7 5800X for Streaming

Hello,

I have a request. Can someone explain to me why a lot of people recommend the 5800x over the 5600x if you are going to stream too? I have the 5600x and don’t really see any significant dips in performance while playing and streaming at the same time, so I am confused as to why people are recommending the 5800x over the 5600x, when there is a (huge imo) price difference at MSRP. I understand that the 5800x is a more powerful CPU and has more cores and threads, which means more efficient multitasking and such, but does it perform that much more than the 5600x to warrant paying the price difference of $110 to $150? I am genuinely curious.

Edit: changed warranty to warrant

AMD ryzen 5 5600x VS intel core i5-12600k

Recently decided on either of these CPUs for my <$1600 PC build after some research and advice, with both of them going for $299. I’d prefer the AMD mostly because of the company and how I’d been hearing it is better than intel CPUs and because it is available on Amazon prime for free shipping and it might be on sale for cyber Monday (don’t know if this is the case so can someone let me know). The thing that is bugging is that the 12600k compared to the 5600x is better in performance according to this website. Also, while it is not available on amazon for $299, it may be available in Best Buy or Walmart and I hope to get it on sale (again, if possible). Would greatly appreciate any advice on this, or maybe even recommend me a totally different CPU since I haven’t bought anything for the build nor am I set on these CPUs.
