Wennberg buy out?

This is a name that I haven't heard of as a target/option, but he'd be another reclamation project at C...Bjugstad, Rask, Johansson. Add Wennberg and the Wild (could) actually have a #2 center with #1 potential. He seems to like passing more than shooting after his concussions, but Kaprizov and Fiala seem to like shooting, right? His shit contract appears to be killing his trade options and CBJ are looking at a buyout.

OR is this another PMB that had a promising career stolen by concussions?

Just wanted to say I think Alex had a great game especially defensively. Alex has had an extremely rough year, he has been the target of a lot of frustration.

I truly believe that the Wilson hit had a massive long lasting effect on him. Obviously the physical recovery and side effects of a concussion are no joke. But I think Alex has also battled the shook nature of always being afraid to get hit like that again. I feel this has caused him to get rid of the puck faster and not make the sort of plays that have long brought him success.

I root for this guy, despite his recent struggles he has been a great Blue Jacket. I hope he continues to be successful and help this team moving forward. Getting back Wennberg of a year ago would be a massive boost to this team.

Fuck Tom Wilson.

How is nobody talking about this guy? I can't find anything about him (from this season) on this subreddit.

He's currently:

  • on pace for a point per game

  • has 4 powerplay assists

  • was a highly-touted first round draft pick

  • is centering the CBJs' 2nd line with Saad & Foligno

  • is centering the CBJs' 1PP line (with future stud Werenski).

  • he's getting a few peripherals points like hits and blocks (which is better than nothing!)

The Blue Jackets' Powerplay is arguably the best in the league for right now. It's 5 for 10. While that's obviously unsustainable, surely it's gotta be a sign for good things to come for their PP throughout the rest of the season.

Cons:

  • his first goal this season was a really soft goal that the goalie should've probably had.

  • he doesn't seem to be an aggressive shot taker but at least he's consistently getting a few shots on goal every game.

  • the Blue Jackets have the fewest GF in the NHL (10), but on the flip side, they have the 2nd fewest GA (14) right now.. the latter of which is of course good for leagues that count +/-

Can anyone chime in on him? Particularly any Columbus fans?
