It’s why pure enemies to lovers never works for me in romance novels you need a enemies to best friends to lovers or a best friends to lovers ( in which they both are opposites attract so you have some tension also) like when we glorify how amazing the pining between friends can be. Like it’s angst galore that just enemies can’t touch It drives me insane when people in romance novels glorify shit like the villian would only think of you while the hero would think of the world also and I’m like that’s a bad thing??? It’s so much harder being good and who you love says stuff abt you as well Sorry for the tangent

It’s why pure enemies to lovers never works for me in romance novels you need a enemies to best friends to lovers or a best friends to lovers ( in which they both are opposites attract so you have some tension also) like when we glorify how amazing the pining between friends can be. Like it’s angst galore that just enemies can’t touch you need a friendship component in there to get the true pain of love( you even see it in real life)

It drives me insane when people in romance novels glorify shit like the villian would only think of you while the hero would think of the world also and I’m like that’s a bad thing??? It’s so much harder being good and who you love says stuff abt you as well Sorry for the tangent

I’m simultaneously so glad they never got a reality show and also very disappointed; that kind of thing would have absolutely been a guilty pleasure watch for me. They didn’t date until 2013. They did meet when she was on gg because gg and the oc had the same producer. They did a movie together that came out in 2011, but nothing happened there because they were dating other people. I watched it and it was perfectly fine but Leighton Meester is SO TALENTED. Like, a genuinely great screen presence and should be in much better things. I know she keeps a pretty low key life but I'm over here manifesting her on the next season of The White Lotus, a meaty arc on Fargo, and a guest stint on Abbott Elementary. She deserves it all!!
