i would recommend puffin browser pro for this purpose or kasm web browser for this exact purpose they both cost money

https://www.puffin.com/ and https://kasmweb.com/legacy_apps.html

but if it being free is important than there is this option

Just so everyone know Puffin DOES NOT work for action 3 scripts. Do not waste your money.

[–]Separate-Effort3640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, Puffin browser is an actual scam compared to other methods.

I use this:

- I downloaded and installed an old FLash version from here: https://archive.org/details/flashplayerarchive (click on ZIP at right and choose one)

- I downloaded an old navigator from here: https://archive.org/details/Firefox_Chrome_Adobe_Flash (click on ZIP and choose one) and use it.

And everything works.

[–]TristanEngelbertVanB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's doesn't seem to be any other alternative for AS3 yet. Looks like your webhost is running an outdated version of cPanel.

[–]rtlcry 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You can use Maxthon browser i use it to play a game that is AS3 , I’ll link you a guide so it’ll be easier for you hope it helps 😅 https://www.plaync100.net/article/article/id/223

[–]Xii-Nyth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah ive been using firefox 84.1/nightly 84.01a but my flash keep removing itself

[–]Xii-Nyth 0 points1 point  (1 child)

do you know where to find portable versions of ie and flash to go along with it? the game im trying to play always ran best in ie for some reason

[–]Cifra85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sry don't know! Ie ran faster flash than chrome because they were using the original NPAPI version of the plugin, while chrome was using a "handicaped" PAPI version.

[–]carno_jenos 0 points1 point  (4 children)

this didn't work for chromebook

[–]Cifra85 0 points1 point  (3 children)

As stated in the description: "works on windows machines 32/64 bit only". Op needed this in a somewhat professional environment. Chromebooks cannot install additional software (only web apps).

[–]Slyviper99 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Actually, that is false. I have a Chromebook and I can download apps and games off of the Playstore, as well as side-load apks via the Linux shell

[–]sazeru_ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

oooo "run as .exe"
stop patrick youre scaring him!

[–]--BabyFrisk-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

obvious spongebob reference

[–]Small-Pomelo-840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the exact same problem...now it works thanx!

[–]AmazingDuck26 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I downloaded this but everytime I try to run something, it just says something about how "flash is unsafe". What do I do?

[–]Cifra85 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It's safer than crossing the street. On a more serious note, that message is just a warning. If you need it and you know what you're doing just use it.

[–]AmazingDuck26 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The problem wasn't that I was concerned about the safety. It was that this popup was blocking me from using the content. Luckily I fixed it now, but thanks anyways

[–]saintmarq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has just fixed something I've been frustrated with for a few years !!!

Love your work sir

[–]iamskillzie 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hi guys, I desperately need help, so I am trying to connect my video encoder to set up for streaming, but during the setup I got this message saying, THIS SWF CONTAINS ACTIONSCRIPT 3 which may not be supported by ruffle.. can this be fixed please.. this is for my Mac mini Thanks

[–]--loading000-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

welp heres the issue, only 10% of actionscript3 is supported currently with ruffle its not that easy to do tbh

[–]Sharp_lemon56 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I'd reccomend flashpoint, it works really well https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/

[–]Big_Individual_2751 0 points1 point  (2 children)

does it work for game like papa louie and btd5?

[–]VFDan 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, those are very famous games and both are on Flashpoint

[–]Firebird644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about Super Mario Crossover 3?

[–]IamSaberAndAndrew 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How do I connect this to super smash flash 2

[–]Mutante2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have another question:

Is it possible to restore NPAPI compatibility to be able to play Phosphor Beta 2?

[–]Mutante2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the solution of the user InternationalSilver1 it worked but no to 100%

[–]coders22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ruffle team said that "Ruffle now has decent support for [ActionScript 3.0]," so it's bound to work with little issues.
