Use the weekly threads and related subreddits. Lost, found, for sale, wanted, and other Craigslist (anything to do with labor, money, or property) posts go on /r/phillylist. Please see the sidebar for a list of weekly threads. Please post sports news and articles in their relevant subreddits.
No self-promotion or Solicitation. Posts about local artists, musicians, makers, and small business promotions belong in the Small Business Thursday thread. Articles from legitimate news sources about these topics are acceptable. Do not self-promote by posting links to your own blog, twitter account, tiktok, facebook page, etc. No top level posts soliciting for donations, surveys, petitions, etc. are allowed.
Provide Sources. Historical or archival images should either link to the original source or include an explanatory comment. All crime or missing persons posts are required to have credible proof - like a news article or a police report - in order to prevent harassment and doxxing. Citizen App is not a valid source.
No Violence. Do not advocate, threaten, or promote actions likely to cause violence or physical harm.
No Hate Speech. Content displaying hate speech, racism, bigotry, or similar discrimination will be removed and users posting the content will be subject to bans.
No editorialized news titles. Please keep your views on the topic in the comments. Please do your due diligence and verify your source. Do not post screenshots of news articles - link directly to the source.
No low effort memes & duplicates. Do not post content identical to, or closely-related to, content that was submitted in the last three months unless it adds context or new information. This includes repetitive posts of popular memes. Do not post low effort content including unoriginal memes, macros, or simple questions.
NSFW and Graphic Content - Do not post sexually explicit videos or images, gore, death, suicide attempts, or other similar content. News sources that include such content are conditionally approved. NSFW content must be tagged. Images and videos should follow Reddit's sitewide rules about doxxing.
