So I just played Nights into dreams for the first time.

I have no idea what just happened in this first level but holy shit I'm loving it. I know nothing about this franchise except the main character from the look.

The music, the world, the vibe of the game in general... man I should've started playing way earlier. Often heard how some wish Sega would do more with this game besides referencing it in Sonic games, but now I can actually understand why.

Guess I will dig a bit deeper what the hell I'm even doing here besides flying, destroying tentacle things and then fighting ball woman. :)

Christmas Nights into Dreams Sega Saturn Game

I remember back when I worked at Blockbuster we rented the Sega Saturn systems and games. Around Christmas one year we got a bunch of copies of A Christmas version of Nights into Dreams. I didn't get my system until after BB had discarded the disc's but maybe someone rented it. Trying to find out if it was a Japanese version or English version.

Any ideas why Air Nights (Nights Into Dreams sequel) was cancelled?

Any ideas why Air Nights (Nights Into Dreams sequel) was cancelled?

My educated guess was that Sonic Team cancelled it to work on Phantasy Star Online since all of Sega's other teams were busy and they needed an online RPG for Dreamcast. Meaning Sonic Team had to make it and put Air Nights in the gutter considering that franchise didn't really catch on (wrongly so it's just Saturn was failure).

That's always been my ballpark, anyone heard or know anything different?

I really despise Balan Wonderworld for basically killing off Nights into dreams.

I really despise Balan Wonderworld for basically killing off Nights into dreams.

While there are people like me, Who enjoy NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, It didn't sell too well and had average reviews at best. That resulted in the franchise never getting any games for years, And relying on cameos in sonic games just to stay somewhat relevant.

Balan Wonderworld was supposed to be not only a spiritual sequel to Nights, But also a way to potentially give nights another chance at getting a 4th game. But since Balan flopped HARD, and the creator of NiGHTS left Sega, The nights into dreams franchise will not only never get a another game, But also can no longer rely on cameos in future sonic games, truly dooming it for good. I hate Balan Wonderworld.

If there is one thing that connects all of her songs, it would be her motto: "Turning Dreams into Reality" Phyrnna is responsible for the music of the Epic Battle Fantasy games by KupoGames, and lesser known titles such as Nothing to Hide and God's Assassin. members
