I was cleaning out my desk this weekend and was reminded that I have this old netbook for a long-completed work project. It's an Acer Aspire One D250 (netbook) with a 1GB factory RAM (I upgraded it to 2GB).
Long story short, I first tried PeppermintOS, which was way-too resource heavy for this decade-plus old machine. Then installed Lubuntu 18.04.3 and it's worked like a dream. It's been fun getting reacquainted with Linux and bringing an old machine back to life. (I'm considering a battery and SSD upgrade, too.)
For now, I'm just having fun mucking around with it.
