What gaming moment gets hated on that you actually enjoy? What gaming moment gets hated on that you actually enjoy?
false

So I was playing God of War Chains Of Olympus and there is an infamous scene people made fun of because Kratos is trying to escape from his daughter so you have to do a quick time event where you tap circle and it's quite difficult. People made fun of the scene but when I actually got to it on my own, I was just thinking to myself " wow it hurts him so much to leave his daughter behind, you have to struggle more to do this than killing enemies". It was actually quite effective it makes me think people who made fun of it never even touched the game or just completely view things differently

Another one would be the laughing scene from Final Fantasy 10. It was intentionally awkward in both versions of the game and was even pointed out during the game that they are forcing to laugh. However everyone uses it as a reason for bad voice acting or dubs.

It would be fine if it was just a few isolated cases of people being online but like I'll see this coming throughout videos, reddit posts, and even real life with some people who barely pay attention to that kind of stuff.

Halo: Combat Evolved is awesome! Halo: Combat Evolved is awesome!

Halo is one of those franchises that I just seemed to have missed out on, like how some people never watched Star Wars or Game of Thrones. I've always thought Halo was just another FPS in a world of a thousands of FPS's. Years ago I decided to play Halo 3 and wasn't impressed. My reasons were just movement felt sluggish and I had no idea what was going on. And so I stopped playing it and just moved on, and yet in the back of my mind I felt like I was still missing out on something and thought to myself... One day.

Jump to yesterday morning. Steam have an Xbox sale. Master Chief Collection is going for dirt cheap. I finally decide to take the plunge. I am now ten hours in and just encountered the Flood for the first time... I get it now.

The game starts so strong that I was pulled in instantly. A super soldier waking up from cryo sleep and then getting ambushed by a hostile alien force before crashing on a mysterious planet? Hell to the yeah sign me up! The sluggishness does remain I admit, but it doesn't really bother me anymore. Instead, I felt the weight of a supersoldier. Gunplay felt satisfying, and killing grunts never gets old. Watching them flee and gibbering like that one Mogwai in Gremlins 2 is so entertaining. And those damn aliens with the sword that just kill you in one hit! Got me running away faster than the Flood did.

The soundtrack is also excellent! Shit feels epic whenever that song starts playing.

And dude.. when the flood showed up I was floored. Horror movie monsters in the FPS game? Say less, my guy. And to think I still have the entire series to play! I cannot wait to see what else the series has to offer.
