I’m rewatching it for at least the 10th time and I’m STILL catching jokes that I’ve missed in the past. This show is a masterclass in both traditional and subversive comedy, packing both in so tightly with a million jokes a minute. I wish so much that we could see their take on today’s issues. Tina Fey is the absolute best.
Edit: Omg, my first time on the front page! Seems fitting that it is for my love of one of the best shows of all time! And thanks for the awards!
Edit 2: I just wanna say that you all have totally warmed my heart. I don't have any friends that enjoy this show in my real life, so it's really awesome to be able to share this with other fans of the show.

I remember very vividly watching these shows everything Thursday night, but I did not appreciate at the time how impossibly perfect the line up was. What are other perfect TV line ups you remember watching?

The closest I can think of is It's Always Sunny, but I'd put that in the same category as Parks and Rec, which would be a rough start leading to consistency later.

I use “that’s awesome, possum” from the head and the hair episode constantly. Like, several times a week. For a while I didn’t even realize what it was from; I’ve just watched every episode so many times it must’ve seeped into my subconscious.
I also say “I want to go to there” pretty frequently.
Honorable mention for “Science is whatever we want it to be”, which I accidentally said to a group of kids one time while teaching them about the water cycle.
Edit: …you guys are making me realize I actually use way more of these than I thought. Keep ‘em coming.

I ADORE this show. It's pure magic, and funny in a way nothing else will ever be. But I don't understand how your central character who's supposed to look unimpressive and has jokes made about her looks all the time, can be played by TINA FEY.
She's so utterly gorgeous throughout the show, and not even in some "unconventional" way. She's thin, has fab skin, cheekbones, great hair, just seriously beautiful. And the whole show is predicated around her lack of good looks?! I can understand maybe it's about how SHE doesn't think she's pretty, but even then, to really drive home the point, get a less pretty but competent actor maybe?
I guess TV/Hollywood doesn't work like that :)
PS: This sub is brilliant, one of the best ones ever. Keep it up 💙
