this was such a fun scene. i love this show so much

[–]thoughtlowhttps://myanimelist.net/profile/LAIN 144 points145 points  (30 children)

Can someone sell me on this show without spoiling?

[–]embrac1nghttps://anilist.co/user/Embracing 358 points359 points  (21 children)

it's a show about girls finding purpose in life via going to antarctica. my favorite anime for sure

[–]Belgandhttps://myanimelist.net/profile/Belgand 117 points118 points  (18 children)

That sounds really uninteresting to me, but this clip is totally selling me on it. Looks like one of those times to just try to overcome any reservations and give it a chance.

[–]koreanconsuela 238 points239 points  (3 children)

On paper you’re like wtf, but in practice its the ludicrousness of the situation that sells the show. It’s a coming of age show about following your dreams. And for the vast majority of us, we have the same reaction most adults in the show have, like wtf why antarctica.

The show asks the beautiful question: “Why not?”

[–]boywiththethorn 38 points39 points  (2 children)

Well one of the girls actually have a legit reason to go to Antarctica but I agree with your take overall.

[–]remmytumshttps://anilist.co/user/RemmyTums 19 points20 points  (0 children)

2 actually, Yuzuki just didn't want to be there initially.

[–]g0atmealhttps://myanimelist.net/profile/g0atmeal 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It's honestly one of the most sincere and motivational stories I've ever experienced. I'd say anyone who hasn't seen it is missing out. Not that I'm trying to inflate expectations or anything, it just has much more soul than the premise makes it sound.

[–]Nugenrules 33 points34 points  (3 children)

If this clip makes you smile, especially the part where she realizes her life is "in motion", you'll probably be smiling through the rest of the series as well. Genuine, optimistic, pure and full of hope; the same joy as seeing friends succeed in life.

[–]___DEADPOOL______https://myanimelist.net/profile/NotACleverMan 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Except for the parts where you are ugly crying. I legit couldn't compose myself for several hours after that one scene.

[–]8_Pixelshttps://myanimelist.net/profile/8_Pixels 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dude when the Spoiler happened I had to pause the episode because I was crying so hard I couldn't see what was going on.

This show will always have a special place for me but also fuck this show for making me feel so much.

[–]Dalamy19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, for me this was a regular cycle of smiling for the first ~20 minutes, and then ugly crying for the last five.

I learned to sprint for the tissue box whenever Haru Ka Tooku started playing.

[–]KanchiHaruharahttps://myanimelist.net/profile/KanchiHaruhara 13 points14 points  (3 children)

Man, and I can't imagine not being interested in this show after being told such a premise lol

[–]Innsui 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Sometimes the show that is uninteresting to you turn out to be one of the best show because it defies all expectation and comfort. I'm not into this kind of show either but rewatching this scene brings back a lot of warm feelings.

[–]DaDesyroyer55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah man, I remember K On. This was exactly like this. The first episode didn't click with me well, but I decided to keep watching. What an amazing anime that is.

[–]voteforrice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the premise unsold a lot of people from the anime I loved it and the 2 people I managed to sell it to loved it. If your Not into slice of life kinda soft dramas that is well animated then it's not really an anime you would probably enjoy. But I promise you it was definitely my favorite of that season probably that year.

[–]Everday6https://myanimelist.net/profile/Everday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh it's that show. Kinda wanted to watch it but never got around to it. Gotta make the time now I guess.

[–]Harryolo97 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was my favourite show of the last decade, a truly memorable journey. I laughed, I cried and enjoyed both the great soundtrack and animation with great character writing and building.

[–]thoughts57 27 points28 points  (3 children)

Gigguk made a video about it and that was what sold it to me. Feel free to check it out. Search on YouTube

[–]thoughtlowhttps://myanimelist.net/profile/LAIN 27 points28 points  (2 children)

Thanks! I will check it out. Thanks for the other comments guys.

I really like watching his videos after watching the show for some reason, definitely gonna save this and watch in in a week or so.

[–]CelioHogane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing to be spoiled about this show, because the anime is all about what happens, not the destination.

Wich is ironic based on the premise.

[–]fenaz99 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Where I can watch this?

[–]Sumo148https://myanimelist.net/profile/Sumo148 5 points6 points  (5 children)

[–]fenaz99 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Thanks for the reply but Crunchyroll is not available in my country

[–]daze1717 256 points257 points  (3 children)

Just started watching this anime few days ago. One of the most inspirational anime I have ever watched. easily 10/10.

[–]Isolated_Stoner86 6 points7 points  (1 child)

which streamer? hulu? netflix?

[–]BigCheeks2https://myanimelist.net/profile/Chickenadobo5122 10 points11 points  (0 children)

[–]Anon199760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved how they made running seem supersonic

[–]yachi100 927 points928 points  (29 children)

This scene right here was what sold me on this show, what a journey this show was!!! Still wish i can experience it for the first time again.

[–]otakuthelegend 206 points207 points  (10 children)

Same here. I was on board for the first episode or two and then this just pulled me all the way in. It was the first time in a long time I’d had a series make me want to actively watch weekly

[–]FullJaded 58 points59 points  (8 children)

I must give it a go then that’s high praise

If I’m honest I’ve never heard of this series before and I’m intrigued

[–]leapsoff8th 86 points87 points  (3 children)

This is the one series I will tell absolutely anyone to watch, even people who don't watch anime. It holds a very special place in my heart.

For a very long time I struggled a lot with my self-image, and it came to a head a couple years ago when I experienced trauma in university that sent me into a very dark spiral of depression. One day back then I decided on a whim to watch this since it was on my list, and I really believe doing that helped me turn a corner in my life. It was the right thing at the right time.

Very few things in anime, or any form of entertainment, have resonated with me as much as this show has. I'm not exaggerating at all when I say this show probably helped save my life. I challenge you to watch it and not feel inspired to live life more deeply, more meaningfully, and with more passion, because that's what it's done for me.

Edit: a word

[–]FullJaded 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I hope you’re doing ok and are able to deal with what you’ve experienced. I too have experienced great grief and personally for me it’s the close connections to friends and the family I have left that leave me feeling “normal” and at ease (not to one up you or anything just trying to show empathy to you in case it comes across that I’m being an asshole)

I’m glad some forms of media can move you this way and give such emotions. I can’t wait until I can watch this and get feels and shifted perception

[–]DaDesyroyer55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Self image is something I struggle with everyday. There's days where I think of myself as compete garbage, doesnt help that parents often used to tell me I'm useless and such. It's not fun. However, as all things do, it gets better. For me, watching anime or just simply doing things I enjoy helped me. Focusing on my future and what I wanna do cleared my mind up. The dark days still come ofc. Hope all is good on your side bud.

[–]remmytumshttps://anilist.co/user/RemmyTums 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was fairly popular when it aired. IIRC it was the community-favorite among r/anime voters in the 2018 awards.

[–]Guwigo09https://myanimelist.net/profile/AbstractRasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What did you watch in 2018 lol

[–]ChaosPheonix11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please do. It's an amazing SoL/adventure story that resonated strongly with me when it came out. It's one of my only 10/10 shows.

[–]DaDesyroyer55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched the show few months after it ended airing, didn't know about it until then. Took me two or three episodes, and then binged the rest within a day. I wish I Could experience it again like it's the first time. It's such a previous feeling. Experiencing that journey.

[–]spectrum705 6 points7 points  (7 children)

I haven't watched it, is it good?

[–]MelancholicGod 38 points39 points  (2 children)

It's the best anime of 2018 for me.

2018 has Run with the Wind, Bunny Girl Senpai, Hinamatsuri, Yuru Camp, Megalobox, Slime, Emiya San Gohan for comparison.

A place further than Universe aired in Jan-Mar 2018 and it remained best anime of the year for me. The characters are great, the plot although a bit far fetched still make sense, the drama fits the story, the comedy is amazing, the art is superb, and the development for each and every one of them is fan-friggin-tastic. I thoroughly recommend everyone to watch it.

Edit: I forgot Jojo Part 5 aired at the same year. Which means A Place Further Than The Universe is 2nd best anime of the year, although I'm being biased with this.

[–]DaDesyroyer55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AAH Yuru Camp. What a good show that is. Season 2 soon. Place Further than the universe is among top 20, mabe even 10 anime for me. Its that good. But in a way, it helped me. Don't think I'm the only one that can say this.

[–]Guwigo09https://myanimelist.net/profile/AbstractRasy 4 points5 points  (3 children)

One of the best anime ever created

[–]PyroArul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re selling this pretty well. You got me intrigued to watch this.

[–]JEMI_Janice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

would you like to experience it through me? I haven't seen it yet

[–]imabritnotayank 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Never heard of it, might give it a watch, is it on any streaming services?

[–]xDanoah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted, now you have one week memories, your memories of everything and everyone resets each Monday, enjoy your favorite series to your heart's content :D

[–]Bullen-Noxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could someone summarize just why the 2 other girls gave them chase? It seems really messed up if they wanted to hurt them just because they saw them out and about? A simple answer that tells why the 2 of them gave chase would suffice.

[–]Barbed_Dildo 292 points293 points  (0 children)

I love how Tamari and Shirase are gasping and flailing and running desperately, and then it cuts to Hinata and she's just calmly and smoothly sprinting like an athlete, and actually enjoying it.

And this was before we learnt about her history with running.

[–]atastyfire 110 points111 points  (4 children)

Idk why but I just love the name of the show “A Place Further Than the Universe”

[–][deleted] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

gives a great atmosphere to the show, giving it an unparralel feeling to any others

[–]remmytumshttps://anilist.co/user/RemmyTums 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's an inspiring metaphor that captures the spirit/themes of the show without the often bad translations from Japanese to English.

Gosh, I could keep gushing about this show.

[–][deleted] 122 points123 points  (2 children)

This scene is just the feeling of pure freedom

[–]CelioHogane 6 points7 points  (1 child)

That's just the entire anime, tho.

[–]chaosof99https://myanimelist.net/profile/chaosof99 47 points48 points  (0 children)

For people that have never seen it: A Place further than the Universe is a fantastic series. It starts off seemingly like a "cute girls do cute things show", but underneath it has a very strong ethos to it and an actually heartfelt story as well.

The audience-POV character Mari starts off as a teenage girl that thinks she is wasting her youth by not having done anything really interesting during it. One day she meets another girl, Shirase, whose goal is to join an expedition to antarctica, as she is unwilling to accept her mother's disappearance during such an expedition a number of years earlier. Mari decides to join Shirase in this project. The two girls need to get some money for the expedition, the acceptance of the organizers, and their parents approval, and along the way they find some additional friends. And then of course there are the difficulties of the journey itself.

The show is great and has some good theming, discussing family relationships, friendship, and life-purpose. And it's really, really good.

[–]Targox_the_Mighty 82 points83 points  (16 children)

why are the older ladies chasing them??

[–]SnakeGnim123 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I wanted to know the answer to that too

[–]spinderglade67 63 points64 points  (12 children)

Watch the show

[–]zetamale1 61 points62 points  (5 children)

just say why

[–]AnImpromptuFantaisie 65 points66 points  (4 children)

Black haired girl wants to go to Antarctica real bad, and keeps trying to sneak ways to do it.

Anything more would be a spoiler.

[–]CelioHogane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they know the black haired girl.

[–]Arsenal_49_Spurs_0 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Hands down one of my favourite shows. Each episode is a visual spectacle and you can't help but root for Shirase!

[–]Virtue00https://myanimelist.net/profile/Virtue00 19 points20 points  (2 children)

Wish I could experience this for the first time again. Spectacular show.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Big anime is behind all of this, dude. You gotta be woke. They even got a car that run on water.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah. wish i could forget about it and rewatch it

[–]crism22 53 points54 points  (7 children)

Probably the best scene in the anime or at least the first one to hit me harder than i ever expected, i love this anime

[–]Foolsirony 46 points47 points  (4 children)

Personally, I thought the laptop scene was the best. If only for emotional impact. No other show, or book, or life event, has ever made me feel such emotion that I was sobbing for over an hour and it still makes me tear up thinking about it

[–]g0atmealhttps://myanimelist.net/profile/g0atmeal 29 points30 points  (1 child)

It was a really poignant climax for her arc. Without going into spoilers, it forces acknowledgements that were being dreaded for the whole show, while also demonstrating her devotion and how far she's come (literally and figuratively) to get to this point. The closure is just so cathartic.

[–]Foolsirony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! Exactly! Cathartic is the word! So few things give that feeling that it's wonderful to discover one

[–]AkodoRyuhttps://myanimelist.net/profile/AkodoRyu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The laptop scene was definitely more powerful, but due to the serious and sad vibe, I still prefer this one. Even if, at least for me, it's also very melancholic and makes me tear up.

[–]mackfeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah my reaction exactly.

[–]Barbed_Dildo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know what you mean, it's a powerful scene, and quite early on in the show, and just tells you that this is going to be a real adventure.

[–]mario61752 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up not liking this anime’s story as much as I thought I would, but I will always love this beautifully crafted scene. Everything about it is perfect

[–]wali_tahir 96 points97 points  (11 children)

Don't see a place further than the universe mentioned alot, it's one of those very highly rated, but rarely talked about ones ;(

So naturally this post makes me v happy, everyone go watch it :3

[–]-ChickenLover- 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Really? I think its quite popular especially among the different reddit communities

[–]DiscoBuiscuit 32 points33 points  (2 children)

Ive seen this exact comment on every show from NGNL to Steins gate, every seasonal show and even stuff like Naruto. Just because it isn't mentioned in every thread doesn't make it rarely talked about

[–]remmytumshttps://anilist.co/user/RemmyTums 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It was pretty popular back in Winter 2018 which surprised many because prior to releasing nobody expected much from it. Probably just another CGDCT show.

As for discussion, there not much to discuss compared to other anime. There's no deep mystery, entangled drama or god-tier memes. SoraYori's impact is in its spirit and honesty.

[–]spinderglade67 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I fucking love this show so much

[–]ChiggaOG 25 points26 points  (5 children)

Kabukichō, Tokyo

[–]YhormOldFriend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shit someone made Kamurocho into a real thing.

[–]euphraxiaaa 11 points12 points  (3 children)

okay, this is making me want to add this on my list. What is this all about?

[–]Kaori-Miyazono 16 points17 points  (0 children)

an anime thats really wholesome , explores how fun life can be , and goes on an adventure

[–]D_LOWGAMES 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could not recommend enough. As in you should bump it up to the top of your list lol. It’s only 12/13 episodes if I remember correctly.

[–]RIP_Hopscotchhttps://anilist.co/user/RiPHopscotch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The basic premise of the story can be summed up as "four High School aged girls go to Antarctica". The actual story itself is so much more, however. I really cannot recommend the show enough.

[–]dakotachip 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Why are they being chased tho

[–]Kaori-Miyazono 46 points47 points  (0 children)

without spoiling , those are their elders and theyre not supposed to be there

[–]Josef_Bittenfeld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the last five years the only new titles that left a mark on me was this show, Run with the Wind and Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju. Whenever I see a clip of these shows some of the emotions I felt when I was watching the shows would come rushing back in.

[–]Shantotto11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Can we talk about how slick Hinata was at 2:30 Mark? That shit got me.

Also: Me waiting of the US blu ray like 💀💀💀

[–]MagicPistol 28 points29 points  (6 children)

I'm a 35 year old dude and most anime about teens is kinda cringey to me...but this show was such a gem. It's just such a feel good show even if there are some sad moments. Everyone should check it out.

[–]AkodoRyuhttps://myanimelist.net/profile/AkodoRyu 6 points7 points  (3 children)

Does it make you feel melancholic? I'm also mid-30s and even if most of it is happy, the general vibe I'm left from the show is sadness about youth that past and infinite possibilities that can not be grasped anymore. Was just wondering if it's just me, or if it's more widespread.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Second this. There are few anime that I feel I could sell to my parents or older coworkers, but this is definitely one of them.

[–]AttainingHeaven 3 points4 points  (1 child)

This reminds me of that one time me and the boys were headed to our friend's place, the rain catched up on us and we had to run for it. We ended up being soaked and all but it was fun. A bit unrelated lmao but this gives me similar vibes, definitely adding this on my watch list.

[–]ZaneDaPayne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This anime is really funny as well!!! I had plenty of laughs because these characters have such a good dynamic. People seem to forget it in their reviews a lot so I wanted to say it's not all a serious life changing journey, or all emotional stuff either. It really has a good balance to it.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While it made them looking like they ran super far. I bet they only ran like 3-4 blocks or like through a few streets. Lol.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This anime is filled with amazing visuals and a beautiful story. I'm always happy to see anything that reminds me to the anime.

[–]DieHardGamer_1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This scene made my heart warm

[–]PaperSandwich 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Just wanted to come back here to thank you for posting this clip. I overlooked it when it first came out, but I ended up steamrolling through the show over the past two weeks and it was an amazing adventure. Cheers!

[–]DudeReckless 5 points6 points  (11 children)

How many episodes and what's it about? People are praising this anime a lot lol

[–]Kaori-Miyazono 9 points10 points  (0 children)

12 episode anime that is wholesome and shows how fun life can be

[–]13-Penguins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

13 episodes. It’s about a girl who wants to go on an expedition to antartica to find her mother who had gone missing there several years ago. She ends up being joined by three other girls. It’s a really good, heartwarming story.

[–]LizardCrimson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember that anime. I was surprised how they didn't die or get severely scolded when they were at 60°S in the middle of the night

[–]goodclassbung 2 points3 points  (1 child)

not sure what the context is, but this is some nice animation and direction here

[–]Davve1122 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should watch the show when you find time. It's amazing in my opinion :)

[–]SexyRoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn't we see this exact clip posted like 2 weeks ago?

[–]ThaRemohttps://myanimelist.net/profile/ThaRemo 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Ah man, just finished binging it, it has filled me with inspiration to go do something! \(★ω★)/

Thanks for sharing this clip!

[–]veronakitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched this anime after seeing this clip on reddit and I loved it so much! I cried during way too many episodes.

[–]ceddong 2 points3 points  (1 child)

hmm

[–]muazmueh[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

hmm?

[–]Ok-Ad8571 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I- WHAT??

[–]SAYMYNAMEYO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's something that just sticks out about this scene. Everything is just so vibrant and alive. I can't think of any other scene in anime that's ever captured this type of energy.

[–]NerdyNurseKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely one of my favourite scenes!! I love how it’s one of the turning points for Kimari, and how beautiful the animation is here. I watched A Place Further Than the Universe for the first time last summer, and it holds a special place in my heart.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The bit just before this when Hinata says "stop gawking or they'll know we're from Gunma" tells me they're a bunch of hicks. Am I correct in this assumption.

[–]8andahalfby11myanimelist.net/profile/thereIwasnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're from a place that's in roughly Central Japan, positioned so that you can't actually see the sea or any of the major cities.

I imagine it's like being from Iowa. It's somewhere enough that it isn't Alaska or Montana, but it's still nowhere enough that it feels separated from the places where interesting things are happening, like New York or California.

In other words, it's the kind of place you want to get the hell out of, which is a perfect starting place for the protagonists.

[–]sammuboyhttps://myanimelist.net/profile/SnglPrngl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This honestly is one of my favorite scenes in anime. It does so much right. It isn't just some funny chase scene, they use it metaphorically as well, the animation and background work is amazing at fits really well, and don't get me started about that amazing ost. Man I love this scene.

[–]S0phon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure it's a red light district? Seems more like a night district.

[–]AshImpact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Criminally underrated. Just watch this show, you won't regret it.

[–]AshImpact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This show literally gave me the biggest case of wanderlust, what a masterpiece.

[–]ilovecats351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love that look of disgust, like she was watching pests multiply

[–]Wolvos_707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was just perfect. I just have to start watching this now, it looks incredible

[–]SusuMeebo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I was skeptical about watching this but I'm interested in it now. Definitely going to give it a try.

I squandered my youth watching anime...

[–]ZdrytchX 1 point2 points  (1 child)

lab

Depending on the kind of lab, it probably beats working at a fast food chain at 6-9 am with a shitty manager that just goes out the back to smoke while you handle the entire restaurant while you clean up god knows what the hell happened on last night's shift on your own, set and prepare up the restaurant then manage the entire restaurant on your own for breakfast runs with disorders that you probably wished you knew you were diagnosed for long before going to school. Yeah, 5+ years on that restaurant is now closed a year or so before covid-19 came around to give them a reason to kick the bucket, glad I left them after a year.

I'm actually intending to go into a lab role now, got any tips on what to avoid other than perhaps human stool/urine/spit medical testing and fire assay?

[–]Generic_Eric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Workspace drama is gonna pile on what you already have on your plate. It's gonna burn you out.

As the years go by, you'll get opportunities to learn things beyond what you were taught in college. It looks good on your resume (I've been to respiratory care, sleep diagnosis, and currently am being trained in PCR testing for covid) but look before you leap, not every new skill you learn will be relevant to every employer you're applying for. Polysomnography was fun, but it has very little to do with clinical laboratory work.

At times when you are unemployed, being conscious about having gaps in your work experience is gonna stress you out even if you've saved up enough to money to sustain yourself for a while. So my advice is to maintain a healthy and approachable relationship with your workmates, supervisors or the HR. (I've had HR problems too, but good people exist)

I get along pretty well with the HR manager at a job I left a long time ago. Whenever I happen to be looking for work for one reason or another, I still get calls for on-call duty whenever a technologist needs to take a day off or something. Keeps you from being rusty, maintains business relations, and keeps you visible to potential future job offers.

I can be a real quiet guy IRL, but as long as you're open to conversation, you can keep yourself updated on jobs and news and shit.

Also... mental health man... you gotta take care of yourself. Play video games or learn to draw or whatever.

Sorry for the late reply by the way. I'm not very articulate, so it takes me a while to put to words what I think.

Lastly, I've never worked a fast food chain before. Sounds fucking rough but you've learned to multitask. That's gonna be useful. Depending on the country you're working in, you'll quite often find yourself running several sections by yourself. Your years working in fast food might pay off here.

Glad you're on the lab now. Good luck

[–]areoPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I’m sold now

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the best directed scenes from one of the very best shows in recent memory

[–]Atribecalled_Q 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my que to watch now thanks!

[–]JustN0tMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate these type of anime but this one seems fun

[–]Zoozoo95 3 points4 points  (4 children)

I really want a dub of this

I heard that this was a really sad anime. Is that true?

[–]chelseablue2004 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It has its sad moments, but its really a show about friendship and following your dreams and where that journey takes you.

There are scenes that will make you cry from sadness but there way more inspirational, uplifting and funny moments. I hope you watch it cause it really is a great show.

there's sad parts but it's not a tragedy

[–]remmytumshttps://anilist.co/user/RemmyTums 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a balance. There are sad moments but its definitely more uplifting and funny.

[–]landragoran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a really good anime. It will absolutely make you cry, but it will also make you belly laugh, and inspire you, and you'll come away from it feeling more whole than you were before.

[–]wali_tahir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll be fine as long as you don't go into it thinking it's a cute girls doing cute things anime like k-on to help ur depression yes

[–]Animethrowdignity[🍰] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Can someone help me find the name of the song that plays in the background of this clip?

Also, I want to watch this anime but I've been kinda been in a rough patch and nostalgia of past days won't help at all, even so, should I give it a shot ?
