Per , a recent job listing posted by Avalanche Software suggests that the development studio is in the process of hiring a Producer for an unknown project. That may not be much to go at first, but it does mention that the applicant should have experience working on open-world RPGs or "action/magical combat games." The emphasis on magical combat is certainly precise and lines up with Hogwarts Legacy leading many to assume that job in question is for a sequel.

I held off quite a while on getting Just Cause 3 because of the performance issues. I picked it up a few days ago and holy moley, this game runs like a slideshow. Any kind of activity drops the framerate considerably. This stuns me - this game came out in December 2015! They totally just gave up on fixing this game. The New York studio butchered the name and the primary studio in Sweden just went "OH WELL!" and called it a day! Weirdly enough, the wingsuit is the most stable framerate I've seen in 10+ hours of playtime. What a tarnish to the great series.

Unbelievable. Mad Max ran just fine. Glad I bought it used so Avalanche doesn't receive money for releasing such an unoptimized game.

For owners of the ps4 pro, how does it run on your system?

Edit: Alright, since this post is getting a bit of traction I'll elaborate on a few things. I bought Mad Max new a few months after release after playing some on a redbox rental. I played JC2 a lot on PC.

The most important point - Avalanche isn't solely to blame. As pointed out in the comments, JC3 is CPU heavy which the ps4 can't keep up.

In november 2020 Xbox Game Studios Publishing stated that they were working on Flight Simulator and on “an exciting new AAA open-world title yet to be announced”.

Recently Avalanche Studios(Rage 2, Mad Max and Just Cause 4 developers)opened positions for “Xbox Specialist/System Programmer to work on an open world unannounced title”.

This might be the open world game that XGS Publishing mentioned back in november but this can also be just a multiplatform game being ported to Xbox.

Can us as a playerbase have the old crafting amounts back? I personally love the tech tree addition, but with the new amounts, crafting is basically pointless, it's super annoying having to spend soooo much more uranium and explosive powder to craft more ammo, or even having to spend 16 lead and 32 ecplosive powder just to make a full mag, on top of spending 100s upon 100s of textiles and adhesive, just to make advanced and standard medkits, even with the increased drop rates it's still SUPER expensive over time, I've spent around 1500 textiles in the past week alone making medkits after fights, which isn't ideal since I don't find that much around.

Please give us the old amounts back 🙏

I can't thank you enough for creating this game and allowing me to play it during my lifespan.

Is this game perfect? No. Is any game perfect? No. Does it have a lot of untapped potential and things to improve on? Yes.

I just finished the game. Field's Guide is at 100% collections are completed, and I am only missing 40ish merlin trials, which I will do eventually.

This game is the first one in a while that made me want to do a completionist run. It made me fall in love with gaming again, and I can not thank Avalanche Software enough for this.

GOTY for me.

Rand Al Thor hints at an "Avalanche", of news coming after the games rumoured reveal at E3 here at 06:55:

Here at 01:04:58 on Colt Eastwood's Podcast 3 weeks ago Jeff Grubb was asked if the "🌀" meant Avalanche, and he dodged the question by saying "The symbol does not mean Avalanche" and jokes "I think I can get away with that legally".

I also think the game may feature Vehicle Combat as Jez (the original leaker of the game) has been tweeting about Rage 2 yesterday: but this is just my personal speculation.

All 3 of these people have hinted that they have more information about this game than is public so far.

I hadn't seen a post making the connection between this rumour and the Typhoon game before though.

Just to clarify, I believe MrMattyPlays is just speculating about whom he thinks Typhoon is being developed by. I personally wouldn't be suprised if Typhoon is being developed by Avalanche. They've done a good job with Just Cause in the past. If this is true, I hope it suprised and wows us when it finally gets announced.

Edit: Avalanche Studios Group/Avalanche Studios is also responsible for Second Extinction, Rage 2, Generation Zero, and Mad Max. Was not aware of that. Sorry guys 😅
