This is a wedding planner warning for those of you looking to have a destination wedding in Antigua Guatemala so you don’t get scammed like we did. We were working with a wedding planner who claimed to do many “ruin” weddings in Antigua Guatemala. Name is Vivianne Brichaux for those of you wondering. We worked with her for 3-4 months and she gave a lot of false promises and wasted our time.I think the biggest thing is she has an instagram full of weddings in the ruins of Guatemala and claimed she had done many and even in her consultation offers an option or ruing weddings…. 1500$ dollars later confesses she doesn’t have experience booking weddings at the ruins (I still don’t know how this is possible when she has a million pictures doing them) and *attempts to sell us on a different venue, I say attempts because she didn’t even send us information for other good venues when I asked her for information. Offers us a refund so we accept. Charges us $500 for her “research” to find out she doesn’t think she can book the venue we want because she found out it is difficult to book…. Why am I paying for you to research something you claim to already know. Bottom line we felt tricked in many ways. I won’t add all the details here but feel free to DM me for more info. When I check her insta it seems she only does a good job if you have a large following… I post this on this page because I was so excited to be a Guatemala bride but experiences like this really ruin the vibe

Antigua is a town in the south of Guatemala. Although it’s the most touristic place I’ve been to in this country in 2 months that I’ve been here, it’s also one of the prettiest.
