In a pennant race, he’s given us nine starts and netted 9 Astro wins.

Bloss has not pitched well in the Interbational league.

Joey is struggling mightily and looks like a backup OF

Will has hit RHP fairly well, but his OPS vs LHP is .560, so he’s not playing vs lefties at the moment and shouldn’t really play in the field.

While I understand the sentimental attachment to all these guys, so far we clearly got the best of Toronto

He is now our most valuable pitcher in terms of fWAR. He ranks 27th in all of MLB in fWAR.

Everyone take a breath and RELAX. The Astros have a very long history of developing pitchers and getting the absolute best out of them.

Edit: To be clear, I am NOT defending the trade. Just defending the player. The trade was awful and Kikuchi can still play well for us. Both can be true.

[Mae] Yusei Kikuchi: Grateful to Pete Walker and how he stuck by him through his struggles in his first year with the team.. His only regret was not winning in the postseason. His family loved Toronto, his son does not want to "move away from Canada.. that makes it tough for me."

[McGrath] Blue Jays starter Yusei Kikuchi thinks he’ll be fine for his next start after he left the game with cramps. The biggest revelation was that he said it may have been caused by only getting 11 (!) hours of sleep last night instead of his usual 13 or 14 hours (!!)
