She’s obviously very old (93) she lives in a psychiatric ward, so she’s not very cogent. So it begs the question, what about this collaboration is truly a collaboration?

At the end of the day, it FEELS like they just licensed the hell out of her name and image, plastered those everywhere, put tons of polish on the campaign for what? Some polka dots on existing silhouettes? It’s the bare minimum.

When I think of great collabs I think of Murakami with the giant flower rugs that were never released again, or the Nigo collab with these outrageous melting proportions on classic silhouettes, or Comme des Garçons with the absolutely insane shit they put out.

This? This feels phoned in. Smoke and mirrors. And we need to demand better.
