Recommendations:

• Helldivers 2 - Deal of the Week (-20%, $31.99) - The first time this game is on sale. Definitely worth it especially if you have non-douchey friends who will help you co-op the enemies and not leave you alone to fend on your own.

• F1 24 Champion Edition (-40%, $53.99) - Can't say the bonuses are worth it. If you dig F1, then this is a no-brainer.

• Sea of Thieves Deluxe Edition (-40%, $29.99) - Over 1 million players can't be wrong, right? Pirate game without needing a peg leg. If you seek an alternative to Skull and Bones. Still heavily supported.

• AC Valhalla + Immortals Fenyx Rising Bundle (-75%, $22.49) - Not a bad deal given Valhall isn't a bad game by any means but just a tad too long for its own good.

• AC Valhalla + Watch Dogs Legion Bundle (-70%, $21.99) - Same as the one above, not a bad deal. But might drive too much open-world Ubi into your brains where you'll see markers everywhere.

• Watch Dogs 1 + 2 Golds Editions (-85%, $13.49) - Not a bad deal, though can't say if gameplay holds up to this day.

• Hell Let Loose Ultimate Edition (-50%, $34.99) - Includes a bunch of DLCs though not sure if worth it for the extra items. Era FPS that's still supported on consoles and PC.

• Dredge Digital Deluxe (-40%, $16.19) - People who dig Lovecraftian monsters, this is for you. Deceptively grim game.

• Far Cry Anthology Bundle (-75%, $37.49) - This bundle include Far Cry 3, 4, 5, 6. Dip your toes into the Far Cry pool in one go!

• Metro 2033 Redux (-85%, $2.99) - First Metro game from 4A, and this one adds graphical enhancements to the original game.

Still a tad too pricey for it, but in case you want a military FPS that's not COD. This does not have a campaign but more on PvP or squad up with friends in co-op objectives.

• Castle Crashers Remastered (-80%, $2.99) - Played this at launch and an awesome co-op game. Cartoony graphics but harder than it looks.

• Cities: Skylines (-85%, $14.99) - City building game. Price includes a load of DLC. Might be worth the pickup since the sequel's console release just went MIA.

Is PS Plus Collection Available on PS4?

No, it's a PS5 exclusive. Any rumours about it being available on PS4 is hearsay as of now.

Is this seperate to the regular PS+ service, do you have to pay extra?

This is included in the existing PS+ subscription. Whether Sony decide to increase the price, remains to be seen but for now, it is an added bonus for PS5 players.

Do the games include any DLC/addons?

The games will be as if they are monthly games, in that sense, they are base games so games like Bloodborne will not be GOTY edition, Persona 5 will be the initial release (not the Royale version) or Monster Hunter World will not include Iceborne DLC.

Are the games PS5 enhanced?

No information has been released to confirm this.

Is this a limited time offer?

Sony didn't say it is so we can assume it will be on-going promo at least in the initial launch window.

The new PlayStation Plus is finally rolling out in the SCEE region over the coming hours (exact times for individual regions are unknown instead Sony has given us a range of the launch starting today to the end of tomorrow, 23rd June).

ONGOING ISSUES:

• PC streaming app does not show all games available to stream

• Some users have reported not being able to access the games on PC app at all

• Some games are locked out to Premium tier when they shouldn't be

• When upgrading to Extra or Premium, some users cannot access PS+ at all including Essential tier

For these cases, it would be best to contact support if you can't get help on the subreddit (use the search tool as a lot of these posts repeat themselves). At least they will know these are issues on their end and they need to fix it.

If you haven't already, you should receive an email from Sony to confirm your own switchover details if you have an existing subscription.

When it is completed, on your console, you should get a notification to indicate this and/or a PS+ app will appear on the main screen.

Q13) I'm seeing "14 days remaining" on games I downloaded, what's happening?

A13) This is most likely a validation check on the game license and should resolve itself eventually. However you can try to restore licenses if it concerns you but it should be an non-issue.

Do you guys have any suggestions for great games on PS Plus that don’t have you at the edge of your seat 24/7?

I’ve recently tried Returnal, Days Gone, and GTA V, and I’ve liked them all (especially Returnal and Days Gone), but I find them too stressful to play a lot. Returnal has amazing feeling controls, but I just expect to get attacked all the time. Days Gone, I can’t do anything without worrying about being attacked by freakers or wolves, or running out of gas or weapons/ammo. GTA V is fine when you’re not doing missions, but then I feel like I have to keep doing vehicle chases and shootouts which is stressful.

I like to play video games to have an entertaining way to unwind, not to make me more stressed.

Ok, clearly there is confusion with some people. A free to play game is a game that costs no money to download and play. Free to play does not include free playstation plus games. You need your ps+ subscription active to continue playing the free games that come with the subscription.

Q11) Will original PlayStation and PSP games from the PlayStation Plus classic game catalog offer trophies?

Some original PlayStation and PSP titles may offer trophies such as Ape Escape, Hot Shots Golf, IQ Intelligent Qube, and Syphon Filter. This feature is optional for developers.

Q12) With this service change, will I have to redownload any games that were previously acquired via PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now?

For PlayStation Plus games you have previously redeemed to your PSN account, those games will still remain as part of your game library as long as you are a PlayStation Plus member. There are no changes to your PlayStation Plus benefits.

For games you’ve previously downloaded from PlayStation Now’s game catalog, if the titles are also available for PlayStation Plus, you can continue to play and your progress will continue to save. Similar to PlayStation Now, if the content is no longer offered on PlayStation Plus, you won’t be able to access the titles when they leave the service. If the title is available on PlayStation Store and you decide to purchase it, you’ll be able to access your save data again – just make sure you don’t delete your saved data.

  • Check Console Store, PSN Web Store, Phone App. Sometimes you can choose between different versions of a game in Web Store but can't on console, or vice versa.

  • Nothing works? Contact support, they are able to remove your old license.

Tough choice between March and April months for me but I'll go with the zombie month.
Days Gone was a wonderful surprise to be a Plus game so early in the year.
Zombie Army 4 is an absolute blast and best if you want a break from long hours of any single player game you're currently playing.

Q) I have an existing subscription to a higher tier than the subscription I want to buy, can I downgrade?

A) Unfortunately, no. You have to wait until it expires or you will need to purchase the same tier you have already.

Q) Which shops can I buy PSN credit from?

A) This is entirely dependent on where you live and if you're going to ask here, make sure you specify which country you're in. If there aren't any official authorised resellers in that country you will have to rely on grey key/privates resellers such as CDKeys.

You have to do your own research on these merchants (there's a bit of information in the FAQ about CDK as well as countless posts if you do a quick search). Note that most links to such sites and openly buying/selling from individuals are banned here.

Q) Can I buy and stack several subscriptions?

A) Yes, if they are the same tier as the one you current have. It's mentioned in the banner on the sales page. There is no known maximum limit.

Q) Do I keep games on Extra or higher tiers?

A) No, once your subscription ends or the games leave the service, you lose access to the games unless you buy them outright.

Q) My payment for PSN wallet/PS+ isn't going through, what can I do?

A) Other than making sure you're entering the right information, your billing address is correct and your bank/credit card company isn't blocking the payment, there's not much anyone here can do. Contact PSN support if possible or use an alternative payment method.

Q) Can I save the PS+ subscription for a later date?

A) No, as soon as you make a plan purchase, the clock starts ticking. There are no codes to redeem later.

Q) Can I buy PS+ giftcards from online or physical shops?

A) Some shops may offer PS+ cards (Argos in the UK do for Essential and Extra - these are essentially PSN wallet gift cards rather than subscription cards) but in general, most shops have not stocked these cards since the June revamp. Check them yourself when they do their own sales.

Q) Will there be more sales later on?

A) Only Sony can answer that for certain but if we check what they normally do, they run another discount sometime in mid-December in the run-up to Christmas for new subscribers and also in other holidays such as Lunar New Year (Playful Festival) as well as other times. No guarantees though.

Q) I was playing Mafia/RDR2/Greedfall/Extra Game and now I can't play it! Why?

A) If you played them on Extra, check if they are still on the Extra Games Catalog. It's mostly for NA but .

Q) I see the above games still in the Extra catalog?

A) It's a visual bug, when you try and download it, it will ask you to purchase the game.

Best month for me was January. I was still having fun with Dirt 5 occasionally before the new PS Plus dropped. Also had a great time with DRG but not playing it that much now.
Worst month was April for me. Only added Spongebob and Slay and did not bother to try them out.
