Are there any midsize to large cities in Canada that have no heavy rail (train tracks)? Kelowna and Penticton are the only ones that I know of, but are there others?

Here in the Okanagan Valley we ripped up all our railways many years ago and we've turned them all into bike trails. While I'm sure there are economic consequences of that decision, it's great not having train noise and road/rail crossings to wait at anywhere. Plus the bike trails are awesome. Are there other Canadian cities that have managed to do this? Or others that have never had rail tracks in their cities at all?

***Edit: Bonus points to cities that are not on an island, for obvious reasons.

Super cool hearing about Fredericton, I had no idea!

However since Kelowna is much larger than Fredericton, it sounds like Kelowna is the largest city in mainland Canada without rail tracks. Am I right?

[Drance] Now this is interesting. After being scratched in the third game in Penticton (often a vote of confidence) it looks like Arshdeep Bains is going to get a really significant look here. Opening camp in a green jersey on a line with Conor Garland and Pius Suter.
