Canada withdraws from the 2023 Pan American Games

The Canadian women qualified for the 2023 Pan American Games event (they have competed at every edition) but had to withdraw due to problems (I am assuming financial) with Soccer Canada

Olympic qualification (thank you u/bretonstripes):

MAG and WAG Olympic berths are being awarded based on the results of the all-around FINAL, not qualification.

The rhythmic individual and group berths are being awarded based on qualification (which is also the all-around final for both).

The trampoline berths are being awarded based on the men’s and women’s individual finals (but that one is complicated and may not be awarded at all. If anyone has more information on this please tag me.

US Defeats Honduras 2-1 at The Pan American Games.

US fell behind 1-0 in the 19th minute and trailed for most of the match. Daniel Leyva tied in the 72nd minute before Ku-DiPietro put away the winner in stoppage time.

We close out the group with Colombia on Sunday. Colombia plays Brazil here in a little bit. That will determine what result we need on Sunday
