Looking into purchasing our first home, love a lot about west nyack. There seem to be reports here and there about historical flooding problems, requests for FEMA help in the past and a large project to improve the levees. Any insight people from the general area can give on this? I can't tell how serious a problem it is, or if it just means 59 gets shut down every now and then.
