Mechanical Engineering

I am going to be a second year mechanical engineering student and was looking to do a project over the summer to add onto my resume. I am considering using Arduino and creating a clock with the time and temperature. Is this more related to electrical engineering or would it look good as a little project on a resume as a meche student? I will gladly take any feedback or maybe better project ideas if that doesn't really relate to mechanical engineering. Really anything would help. Thanks
